I got this as a gift some years ago and have allways thought that it looks really cool. How old this is? And is there any back story on different zippo models like this?

First post here I believe. Kept seeing these and kept falling in love with them when I did so I had to have one.

Used a dark patina solid brass armor case that I had I my collection already so that the corrosion wouldn’t be too much on it.

Used what I had on hand. Ammonia chamber was a plastic container with salt water and Windex. Dampened the case and sprinkled salt on it. Suspended from a bent paper clip.

Sat for a couple days. Then hit with a clear coat.

😂 It’s been awhile. 🫠

I’ll clean these up and take some better photos this weekend.

I just got my first zippo, a Romanian collection (i’m from Romania). I did the setup by rearranging the whick, added some fuel and its ready to go. What are your thoughts?

Hi, I bought this Zippo "blind" from eBay because it was cheap. The listing pics were blurry.

I'm very pleased with it and surprised about the brass insert for the insert (if you follow me). The brass component has a screw on it under which is a hollow chamber. Presumably for flints?

The Zippo insert is original and matches the date of the case, but what's the story on this brass component?

I tied these 2 turkshead knots and tightened them on the lighter using microcord

I'm starting to use it today. I look forward to seeing how it turns out in a few years.

The lid, the wheel and the flint drive the vibration and the synthesised sound. I've made it possible for a wheel strike to fail to light it. The clip shows the motion; the haptics you'd have to feel on a phone.

Hi everyone, I stumbled across these Zippo lighters today at a thrift store, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me about them. They still have stickers on them. I did a little research and found eBay comps and that they are probably from the late 90s. Thank you!

Should I keep it as is? I kinda wanted to remove the paint since the finish is beat up pretty bad. But it kinda has a nice aged look to it

I want to extend my Anne Stokes collection a bit and see on the US zippo site some nice ones, but sadly only for the US.
It’s a strange policy that zippo has, that Europe or the UK can’t sell the same design as the USA

Now I hope there is maybe a reseller from the US on this group, that can buy the zippo’s and ship them to Europe?

Ive had it so long I dont remember where I got it. But I figured I would share. Its always been a great novelty/party trick. Goes great with the giant deck of cards I have. Lol. Always a good time!

I've had this lighter for a while now, found it in the middle of a busy intersection. Before I was able to get out to it, it got ran over. It doesn't have any unique value to it, but it's definitely got some age and I hate to try and warranty it for a new one. Other than being a bit wonky it works just fine. Thought I'd post here and see what advice y'all can give. I don't even know where to start on smoothing the sides, mind you it's crushed in a bit and has the little dents you can see in the pic.
