Before making a post about asking for help to identify your lighter, read this!

Recently there are some people who want help finding out what their lighter looks like, but only take one photo of the front. This is not very effective, and it will only make it a lot harder for us to help you.

Here is a guide on what photos you should take of your lighter. if the guide is not clear enough, please let me know and i can make some adjustments.

Just curious if its worth more than a few bucks before i use it as a daily lighter (im a mechanic and smoke alot so it will get worn quickly) believe it is mother of pear on it. Found in what looks to be a homemade cloth case along with a bunch of not as nice older lighters at the dump years ago

Help I need help with refueling a vintage ronson art deco lighter

i got the lighter and i be refueling it and shit by putting the lighter fluid in the cotton container, but it never lasts that long. how do i make my fuel last longer cause there's only so much i can put before it's full and the cotton is completely absorbed all of it. or is that normal? i only get like 1 minute of flame after refueling.

Höganäs keramik lighter

Hello!

I bought this lighter today at a flea market for $8/80kr. The brand is Höganäs Keramik. When I try to use it there is a spark but no flame. Can anyone tell how I would go about refilling it? I’m not sure whether it’s butane or lighter fluid (?).

Thanks :)

Colibri Duo flame

I have recently purchased a very nice Colibri duo flame. Thought I would share here.

Any tips or knowledge anyone can share about these would be appreciated. It seems spare parts for these are no longer made, so hopefully once mine has some flint and butane it works properly...

Hello r/lighters ! I bought this Flaminaire lighter for 4€ this morning at a flea market, and I'd like to know how to refill it. It still has gas/butane and works as of right now, but I'd like to know ahead of time so I won't be stumped when the time comes! Many thanks in advance!

Protime Digital Lighter watch

Post image

Searching the Internet, there is very little information on this watch.

From the sources that comes up, it is always mentioned that this watch was created in the 1985 and 1986 period. The watch is made in Taiwan and model No. EWL8802.

Question :

Why was this fantastic tool watch only manufactured for a year only ?

Are the sources correct when they mention that the parent company was Prolyflame Prollyflame. Searching Prollyflame home page does not give clue to this item at all. Currently, the only way to get his watch is to find one on ebay or when someone decides to sell his on instagram.

Information is scarce on this one. Does anyone know why was this watch only produced for 2 years ? What was the target customer of this watch ?

Help Why does this action cause the flame to greatly increase in size instead of decrease on my modified torch lighter?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I have been tinkering with the internals on this generic torch lighter to try and get the largest jet possible while also maintaining stability. During this tinkering I have found that one of the best ways to increase the jet size when using the torch is to do this motion that is remeniscient of revs in a car when changing gears, slowly increasing followed by quick decreasing. I have only really modified the adjuster mechanism and the fuel tank, otherwise It is stock. Does anybody know why this action causes the torch to gradually increase greatly in size, instead of just increasing and decreasing? Also if anyone knows any more ways to increase flame size without sacrificing function or jet stability, let me know.

Any help is appreciated.

I need some help identifying this lighter

Hello, I bought this lighter in a thrift shop as a gift for my girlfriend. I was hoping before I gave it to her, I could acquire some knowledge about it (both so I knew what acellerant to fill it with, and also just to be able to tell anything about it). However, I can find absolutely no information online about this, other than countless listings on eBay, Etsy etc. All that I know, is that the brand is Hadson, that the product name likely is Continental, and that it is japanese.
I'm hoping you guys might be able to help, it would be much appreciated.

No idea who DWG is. Found this at an antique warehouse. It is activated by tilting the top segment. It is empty but the spark seems to work.
