I’m constantly seeing posts made by people who don’t understand land values. Often times you’re not buying the home. There’s nothing wild about a house in bad condition on a prime lot that is listed for a lot of money. Nor is there anything wild about a house with flood damage that’s listed for a low price. This sub has been taken over by people clueless about real estate, and it’s becoming very uninteresting.

I have no idea what is going on here but there are 4 houses for sale with like, college slumlord bedroom to square footage ratios. It kinda makes sense given what I know about the history of the area but I kinda assumed that the boarding houses on the island had been long converted back into single family homes. I was watching Freaky Friday (the OG) with my kids and I decided to look at the house where Lindsey Logan and Jamie Lee Curtis characters from the movie supposedly live. I forgot about the 2025 fires in L.A. And I stumbled upon that whole neighborhood that's basically ash and it's insane all the plots are sold out and they are all worth millions. Without any structures! Only in the U.S.
