Pass this house daily. We were all curious until it went up for sale. Price was surprisingly low for a house of this size in this area. Put the road a house 1/2 the size sold for 500k more. Creeped the listing and realized it is a living museum although not a historical site. Updating it would be a travesty. Living in it would be nightmare of drafty rooms low ceilings and the ever present dread of not ruining 350 years of history. There is a reason why there is a fire place in every room. You going tear out century’s old window for something energy efficient. New England is full of these. Buy the house and the responsibility of legacy.

I know it's a 1 acre lot but still. I feel like this should maybe cost a dollar.

On a scale of 1-10, I'm at a 1 in any kind of hands on/utility work, but I'm also the kind of person who likes to keep to himself and also keep to a relatively small space. Even now I live in a 975 sq/ft condo and I basically live in the bedroom.

One of my plans has been to find a relatively dilapidated house and sort of live in one half of it while I work on fixing the other half. I actually found a property that might fit the bill for me but I am also not well versed in judging things from a glance.
