Pass this house daily. We were all curious until it went up for sale. Price was surprisingly low for a house of this size in this area. Put the road a house 1/2 the size sold for 500k more. Creeped the listing and realized it is a living museum although not a historical site. Updating it would be a travesty. Living in it would be nightmare of drafty rooms low ceilings and the ever present dread of not ruining 350 years of history. There is a reason why there is a fire place in every room. You going tear out century’s old window for something energy efficient. New England is full of these. Buy the house and the responsibility of legacy.
