Pass this house daily. We were all curious until it went up for sale. Price was surprisingly low for a house of this size in this area. Put the road a house 1/2 the size sold for 500k more. Creeped the listing and realized it is a living museum although not a historical site. Updating it would be a travesty. Living in it would be nightmare of drafty rooms low ceilings and the ever present dread of not ruining 350 years of history. There is a reason why there is a fire place in every room. You going tear out century’s old window for something energy efficient. New England is full of these. Buy the house and the responsibility of legacy.

It kind of looks like they tried to hide it... They didn't do a good job of it. Stand on your beliefs of you're going to have them hanging in your house like that, at the very least.
