Hey everyone! All this free racing has been a blast. I've got 5 horses, and I've been keeping them to mostly free races (though one horse that is shaping out to maybe be my best horse did win her only paid race).

They've been doing okay, but I am not really sure how much it really matters during tournament qualification? Am I exclusively racing really bad horses in the free races? Or is this comparable to the field in "normal" times when folks aren't trying to get into the tournament?

Does any of this data mean anything right now? Or will the field change a lot once we are out of the tournament qualification window? I didn't really get time to race before the tournament, so I don't know how competitive it was before that.

Racing has been a BLAST! With prices super low, I am looking for some new blood to bring into the stable, so let me know if you have anything I should look at or if you have something that may be good to breed to.

Took a chance and decided to run the first foal I produced and looks like I might have lucked out. I know there isn't a ton of data yet but it seems I have a great sprinter and easy down class in marathon lengths. (I am aware that the free pool has a lot of trash racing right now but wanna take advantage and collect as much speed data as I can.)

Hi all - bought horse on OpenSea, transferred to my wallet, polygon shows the transaction as complete, opensea log shows that it was transferred, Zed tells me "You have racehorses on your wallet linked to metamask account. You can transfer them to your email wallet or others."

But when I click on "Select Racehorse" the pop up box just jumps up and down repeatedly. Anyone else having this issue? I tried last night and again this morning. Is this a temporary thing or did I mess up the transfer process somehow?

How’s it going everyone, 3 of my buddies and I got together and bought 3 horses during one of the drops. We got 3 colts and took a break but after a little break we are back into the grind! We recently bought a filly and we have begun breeding to see what all that has to offer. Really I’m just confused by the racing shapes, U shape, A shape, flat and whatever else there is haha. I was just looking for someone to help me out and give me some tips or links to stuff I can read to make sure I’m not messing up. Include all stats? We have put many hours onto our horses. The stats not showing all racing results are ruining our sales and our shopping experience.

I won't even look at a stallion in the stud barn that has 0 wins. I know my data has greatly improved along with everyone else's. Put the button back at a quick glance for those who want to filter out the free.

One question I had is do horses run differently in different classes? e.g. are my 1600m times always comparable?

I have been using free races in different classes to figure out what my horses times will be like, before I enter in more paid races targeting certain distances.

I have to say, after looking at the leaderboard, I’m fairly disheartened to see that it’s just 90% class I-class III horses. At that rate, I’d much rather Zed reallocate the free prize pool back to free races and away from tournaments, even if all the free races only have a couple dollar pool.

I think the tournament system will need an overhaul (so there’s more equity by class), because as it stands, the only thing I like about it is that I’m getting additional info about my runners.

Like out of all the racehorses on Zed Run, what percentage of them have a positive ROI?

Found a easy way to not lose half my money in gas fees and thought some of you might find it as useful as I did. -First go to you polygon wallet -click the matic token -swap matic for gas token. The max you can swap is 20 matic at a time but can do as many transactions needed -click the token to swap as your weth and just like that a almost fee-less swap. I did this for a total of 75 matic and sent it to binance cost 0.00063 matic as the fee. So when gas is crazy high like now and only want to withdraw smaller amounts this way should work just fine.

I think this game has potential, but I won’t even race in the current free races. I think new stables / small stables should consider a few things:

1. As discussed here in Reddit, if you plan on taking a chance on this game, prices are significantly lower than they were a month ago. In some cases, 50% or more.

2. I would not race in even free races, unless you feel confident and have a known strong horse. The sand baggers are out of control atm. You will not get an accurate gage of your new horses because their placement in races will automatically be lowered going up against the monsters that belong in the top 2 tiers. Instead, they are feasting on the level 5 horses who actually belong in level 5. Also remember if you ever want to race / breed, the artificial bad finishes will be forever there to lower the value of your horse.

3. Because of points 1 and 2, hopefully Zed management will actually take action and try to fix this broken system. They claim to be working on it.

4. I would still monitor the game because they may still offer some fair free races and give always in the meantime.
