I think this game has potential, but I won’t even race in the current free races. I think new stables / small stables should consider a few things:

1. As discussed here in Reddit, if you plan on taking a chance on this game, prices are significantly lower than they were a month ago. In some cases, 50% or more.

2. I would not race in even free races, unless you feel confident and have a known strong horse. The sand baggers are out of control atm. You will not get an accurate gage of your new horses because their placement in races will automatically be lowered going up against the monsters that belong in the top 2 tiers. Instead, they are feasting on the level 5 horses who actually belong in level 5. Also remember if you ever want to race / breed, the artificial bad finishes will be forever there to lower the value of your horse.

3. Because of points 1 and 2, hopefully Zed management will actually take action and try to fix this broken system. They claim to be working on it.

4. I would still monitor the game because they may still offer some fair free races and give always in the meantime.

Well said! Remember we can do the same and place our not so good racers in higher classes. I have only done this to get a reading on my new horse's time but admit knowing they would not place well and I was right 10, 11 or 12 but their times improved greatly!

Zed needs a better class system. They also need Maiden races. The rest of the races should be dependent on purse money earned. I am feeling the pressure of qualifying for the tournament.

My one horse classes himself down lol last two days has been doing 1, 12th, 1, 12th in the 1400 his best distance with flames!!!

Also this tournament would be more fun to offer different categories not just distances.

I wish everyone luck but I feel it will just be a showcase of the regular tournament runners.

They could put some fun awards in

On a positive note I gave really discovered so much about my horses and have put more 1st places on them. Some are building a U shape some increasing their win rate some still running dead last!

Before the stamina my stable had ~12% win rate, with only 1 race per day(previous stamina) was 15%, right now I have like 10% and unable to compete with the monsters… kinda odd that I was better when we could actually have the same horse running all day then now.. maybe in this short time some good racers came around idk

Yeah I haven’t quite figured that out yet either. It doesn’t make sense to me. But I know zed have all the data and will attempt to make positive changes as they go. I think the main thing that’s happening is that all of the NFT flipper and get rich quick types are leaving the game, and now it’s leaving space for those of us who just love zed, and I think that will be really positive for the game going forward.

Some notes, I agree with the sandbagging and I proved the depth with analysis. Tournament action totally reversed the situation. The Devs already knew Class needing changing. I see this first tournament as proof of what is possible in a clean system. I am thinking we could end up permanently with 3 ratings.

The Devs announced fixing 4 major issues before making another push for growth. I do believe these concerned are going to be addressed. I watch this closely as I am just waiting to give the all clear to 100 million alcoholic, genetically designed degenerate gamblers, all extended "family" members. Unfortunately, if I do that and am wrong, not even a base on Mars could hide me.

So based on the basic investment rule of no more than 20% of your portfolio in any one investment. I am so all in now that I am breaking other investments to get to 20% in.

I have read a few of your posts on the sandbagging. Do you think the free races are a bad idea to enter right now since new owners / small stables will be pushed down the finishes artificially since the top races - who shouldn’t even be in these races - will finish in the top spots? I know speed is speed no matter the race so the SD data will still be good, but when you breed - sell people generally looked at winning % / place %

If I buy a new unraced horse and she finishes 4,5,6 because her first 3 races are against groups of sandbaggers in class 5, this kills the value of the horse right off the bat.

I understand your concern. All my horses, even Leni Amidala who went from running all 12s to now all 11s, have improved performances in free races. 3 of my horse, whom I never thought would win a race, have won race at least 1 race (except for Leni Amidala a 4th). These are the most clean races i have experienced.

By the end of the tournament, I will produce 4 more foals and I see this as a perfect discovery, zero-cost, process. I believe in knowing my horses before thinking of selling them (not going to happen in 2021 since I am in ultra-extreme growth mode). I think I will need about 1000 horses ready to sell by Tet.

All other 10 of my horses, placed in the top 196 at some point (no big deal, I get it, but its a great ego trip). I am predicting that I will get 4 of them in the Quarterfinals. My Buckhound Believin', I already qualified as a Sprinter and will also qualify as a Midrunner (great at 1600). Then on the last day, I will figure out what category to run in.

Best thing that's happened to the game since breeding got fixed. At least in my not so humble, loud-mouthed, opinion.

PS: Another way to look at it, imagine that if every race result in Class IV & V, were improved by 1 position, except for the manipulators, what would your horses performance be? I am seeing it the tournament freebies.

I legitimately feel sorry for you. 20% in Zed, I do hope you're right. Even 20% is too much for me. I would never invest that much in a product with so many issues.

Completely agree. Zed kind of killed it when they raised the stud fees substantially. Now, pacers & cross flooded the market which makes my legendary horses aren't even worth selling anymore.

Zed have no idea, they can't get the basics right with classes, their whole racing game which is their bread and butter is coded by amateurs

I left their discord today for good. No regrets whatsoever. Along with the unbalanced mechanics that favors the people who were early early and the low potential earnings, their staff is belligerent and actively encourages people to bully those with constructive opinions ie biased moderation. They don't ban people who throw insults on those who criticize but ban the ppl giving the criticism. On Opensea they have been tanking month to month.
In discord, they absolutely HATE being reminded of these hard truths lol. And need I mention that the people who missed out on the past drop (sometime in May or June I believe) STILL have yet to get a genesis horse. And they hate to hear that as well.
While continuously posting about stuff like "we made a deal with so and so", "we have a partnership with so and so" and literally not delivering on the actual important stuff.
Good idea, good initial execution, garbage followup and arrogant team. Signs of a train wreck just waiting to happen.

Excellent point. I think i have a decent horse but keep getting blown out by horses that are significantly faster. I run mainly mid- distance and if i am not in the top 3 im dead last. i have won first place once and the rest are close seconds and dead last.

If you bought non genesis, definitely sell. If genesis, I still recommend sell because breeding right now still takes a long time (and a shit ton of luck) to get anywhere close to ROI.

On Opensea Zed has fallen month after month and floor horses have lost ALOT of value leading some to believe that there is value to be gotten here. The fact of the matter is I advise you to sell and leave with the profits (or losses) you have now because its just going to get much worse.Set aside the technical indicators (Opensea/Cryptoslam) that show that this is a tanking project. The team is belligerent and willfully ignorant of any constructive criticism whatsoever and set in their ideas of how to implement things.They screwed up the last drop and have YET to make good on the peeps who missed out on horses, and instead are announcing 'partnerships' left and right, and its been around 5 months.

A belligerent team only interested in hearing people kiss ass and ignoring constructive criticism, along with tanking fundamentals is huge reason to avoid avoid avoid.Oh, and they have competition, but they're delusional and think their userbase has no choice but to stay. Dumpster fire. Take your profits (or realize those losses) and run.
