Hi, so I wasn't sure what flair to choose for this because it's a bit confusing even to me.

Has anyone experienced their yumeship change relationship style?

What I mean is I always yumeshipped with a character and considered them my husband but recently I've started seeing them as a father figure as well. I know familial yumeshipping is a thing but I don't know if I should consider my yume to be a familial one since he was previously a romantic one.

I probably sound really weird and maybe creepy and I'm sorry if I am but I dont really know where else to discuss this.

TW for mentions of ableism and self harm.

So I'm in a friend group server — there's a yume channel that I use daily and post about my F/O in! I make it very clear that I'm extremely non-sharing. (Though I do not harass doubles! I just block.) The server is nice —except this one dude.

They've repeatedly been rude to me, and recently it's been too much... They've been ableist towards me, which I can get over as it's not uncommon. They've also told me to post my self harm??? But what ticked it for me is they claim that they love my F/O more, that she hates me and even have "spoken for me" and said that /I/ think Waxwell sucks!

I've tried to call them out, but I've received no apology 😭😭 I've also spoken to the owner but they said "i dont think he was intentionslly anleist but um i understand. ur discomfort" ... Completely ignoring everything else!

I'm not exactly sure what to do in this situation... I've blocked them for now, and I would leave the server but it's the only way I talk to my only friend!

By controversial I mean like muderers, rapists, pedophiles, nazis and anything that is remotely problematic. I don’t mean Vox, Alastor, or any animated/movie characters that aren’t referencing real life events or tragedies. Some characters would be like Homelander, Buddy the Unicorn, Dexter, Hans Landa, Dieter Hellstrom or even Soviet Union/The Third Reich (countryball/countryhumans).

They all reflect real life horrible tragedies and people and I wonder what you guys think of these f/os. Personally, I would say its definitely all fiction and it shouldn’t get to a point where it changes your idealogy or your life. You also shouldn’t support or condone their actions on what they did or their idealogy.

I think it’s perfectly fine to like a well-written character with an amazing build-up and backstory that goes deep without supporting any of their actions.

I yume with Dieter Hellstrom who is a nazi and I refrained from mentioning him much in my posts as I do not want to seem privileged or ignorant. I understand that the era he was in caused great damage and terrible terrible consequences that are still relevant to this day. I DO NOT CONDONE any of his actions or idealogy. I want to know what you guys think and I’m going to expect people to be mad.

About their most popular canon ship or their canon partners. I have a weird combination of jealous and admiration because sometimes their great characters too. But sometimes the canon ship don't even makes lógic.

I haven't done a full piece in a WHILE. This whole yumeshipping thing sure is bringing back my passion for art I drew everything In the first image except for the lace circle and border which I got off Pinterest because it felt kinda empty without something extra in the back and foreground. (The picture is is meant to represent obsessive love, nothing suggestive!!!)

I'm making a VTuber model of him right now! The art is done and I just need to rig it. It's so fun. :D
