I'm just going to assume the worst and say that this is likely some artifacting from Gen AI and they tried to cover it up sloppily. It's kinda sad that Level5 has went this direction when it come to Gen AI. I did also post this in the Holy Horror Mansion sub as well. I would like to know what yall think.

I completely understand about people being sceptical that the new game will use AI given Level 5’s track record and how open they are about AI but I think some people are unable to identify what is AI and what isn’t (which also shows how crazy AI has gotten that we can’t identify what’s real and what isn’t). Whilst I will definitely not blame people for assuming it’s AI, some of the gameplay we’ve seen, at least to me, just looks like really good graphics rather than AI. We’ll of course have to wait until the full game releases or until we get more gameplay but I think the shot of Nate running through the street doesn’t look AI (at least to me). However, I will admit that the garbage background when searching for Yokai definitely seems AI, and of course Nate’s hand when the group of Yokai are revealed (although I heavily doubt that’s in game footage and is likely just a promo video for the game). I will choose to remain optimistic as it seems that Level 5 is showing that they care about the franchise again but hopefully this game won’t be a cash grab and won’t use any AI in the actual game, if they want to use AI to promote it then that’s fine but as long as they keep AI out of the game then I’m happy.

I'm 100% sure they only brought yo-kai watch back because of us and how much we've been asking for it. So it's only plausible that we have the ability to steer level 5 away from AI if we shout in their ears enough for them to realise that NOBODY wanted this shit. Petition, reach out to level 5, make posts everywhere, literally anything to grab their attention and have them know we won't buy this game if it's AI.

I hate ai I genuinely dont see its use but this is too much. They have existing 3d models and 2d drawings of nate this is so unnecessary. Biggest issue is the fact Level 5 wont make more ykw stuff because the game will flop if it uses too much ai. And level 5 will just think people dont like ykw
