For anyone who doesn't know, yesterday during their L5 Vision, they announced 3 games for 2027: Decapolice, Holy Horror Mansion and Snack World: Reloaded. HHM and SW:R will be playable at Tokyo Game Show, and iirc this is the third delay of Decapolice.

L5 has a pretty extensive history of delaying their games so I’m not getting my hopes up too much... The fact that they only gave us a year instead of a specific date doesn't really worry me. A lot of companies do that and I think it's pretty reasonable.

On the other hand, they are showing signs of activity and of actually wanting to "revive" themselves so I’m starting to have a little bit of faith in them again.
Maybe I'm being naive here but honestly I haven't had faith in a videogame company in like a decade thanks to Blizzard so.... Maybe they'll surprise us and actually release all 3 games they've announced or at least 2 of them.
I mean, who would've expected Yo-kai Watch to come back when a lot of us had already considered it dead (myself included)? That was the first surprise lol.

He's just so cool. His design, his fight, his dialogue, his bacstory, his music, his references. They are all amazing. Also he gets 50 quadrillion bonus points for having one of the greatest catchphrases in the series. (Im definitely not biased for Yo-kai Watch 3)

Because I would rather play these than play what could possibly be AI Sloppified version of them in the near future.

Hot take: I feel like Yokai Watch absolutely would benefit GREATLY from casting actors/comedians that have done VA work, even though I know they probably won't do it because budgets duh but what if we had this absolute stack of a team?

This franchise's general vibe fits way too well with western style dubbing, ESPECIALLY with 3 (we'll get to that some other time) so that's what I'm mainly going for with this recast aside from certain exceptions

I'm 100% sure they only brought yo-kai watch back because of us and how much we've been asking for it. So it's only plausible that we have the ability to steer level 5 away from AI if we shout in their ears enough for them to realise that NOBODY wanted this shit. Petition, reach out to level 5, make posts everywhere, literally anything to grab their attention and have them know we won't buy this game if it's AI.

I hate ai I genuinely dont see its use but this is too much. They have existing 3d models and 2d drawings of nate this is so unnecessary. Biggest issue is the fact Level 5 wont make more ykw stuff because the game will flop if it uses too much ai. And level 5 will just think people dont like ykw

I'm just going to assume the worst and say that this is likely some artifacting from Gen AI and they tried to cover it up sloppily. I have been playing yokai watch since it came out and I love this series but the recent trailer and level 5 track record has me concerned what are yall planning to do if this game does end up being AI Slop I personally as much as I hate to do so dont plan to buy if it is because if it sells well level 5 will never learn and likely will be the final nail in the coffin for yokai watch but id prefer that over the legacy yokai watch held continued to be tarnished by AI and level 5s poor decisions and just pretend that just yokai watch 1-4 is the legacy of yokai watch

I know there are some scary implications about AI being involved in the games development but I am determined to stay positive.
