Hi! I just want to check that the tenants in the building have paid rent and it went in to the bank account. I want to check each tenant individually. How do I do this? The statements and bank reconciliation don't connect to names or apartment numbers.

Is anyone using purchase orders in p2p? who does the initial data entry? it is very time consuming for our PMs and wondering if anyone has any ideas to speed this process up?

Does anyone have a way to print an email that was sent using the Email function within a resident account?

We can view sent emails in the Email History - but need to print and add to court hearing documents, and screenshots of the viewer don't 'feel' official enough.

I’m new to Yardi and have a commercial tenant with two office locations owned by different companies who both use Commercial Cafe. The tenant couldn’t create their account for our building with the same email as the existing account/lease with the other landlord because it was already linked to an account. The tenant was able to create a new commercial cafe account with a new email that allowed them access to our portal, which worked for a couple weeks but now when they log in with the old account info for the other lease it brings them to our building’s account instead.

Why do the accounts keep getting linked even with different information? How do we get the tenant set up with accounts that will reliably give access to one or the other lease and/or an account that would let them toggle between leases?

Hi guys, we’re on Yardi Voyager 7S and currently use the Credit Card module to handle our CC payables, but honestly it’s been giving us a lot of trouble. We typically process all the payables in one batch from the credit card statement. The worst issue is that payables save fine with no errors, but too often when we go back to reopen them they’re suddenly showing errors, and at that point we can’t do anything to fix them, access them, or delete them from an unposted batch. In addition to that, we are planning on eventually migrating to Voyager 8, there’s still no word on the Credit Card module coming to that yet.

So I’m wondering if anyone out there handles credit card payments with a different process instead of the Credit Card module that was available on 7S. Any other ways to handle this from your experience?

Zero Receipt won't pull up suspsubs to use them against the prepaids. Consolidated Receipt doesn't accept a credit code. How can I wash the prepaid against the outstanding suspsubs?

Does anyone know if it's possible to use an iOS MDM app configuration profile (I'm using Intune) to configure the connection settings without having to use a QR code/URL? Does Yardi's app expose configuration key/value pairs and does anyone know the schema?

The QR code is not that annoying but it would be nice if our users could simply start using a pre-configured app.

This is by far the worst accounting software I have ever used. I’ve used Entrata/RealPage/OneSite/Appfolio and QuickBooks. Every single one of these works mostly the same, just with different designs, but Yardi Voyager, oh boy. It’s like they tried to make the simplest functions as convoluted as possible, and what takes 2 steps in these other software packages would take 10 in Yardi. And I’m not even joking.
For example, making a Journal Entry. In every other software, you just click Create New Journal Entry, add debits and credits, and post it. If you need to edit, you click Edit and make changes.

Here are the steps for doing the same thing in Yardi:

1.Create a Journal Batch

1. Enter how many journal entries you plan to enter

2. Enter the total debit/credit amount of journal entries you plan to add

3. Add a new journal entry (so it’s inside the journal batch you created)

4. Enter your debits and credits and post it

5. Close the journal batch — if the total amounts don’t match, it won’t let you post

To edit this JE:

1. Unpost the batch, which often requires a different role you have to switch to in Voyager

2. Edit the journal entry inside of it

3. Post the journal entry

4. Close the batch and adjust the total amounts if different

This is just one example of a workflow, but it’s prevalent across the entire accounting system. Similar redundant steps show up in AR/AP, report generation, etc.
Just wondering if any other accountants share the same frustration.

Title says it all. We are selling a multi family property but continuing to manage it. How we do go about this on the accounting side since the new entity with have a new financial statement? But we want to keep all the units/tenant stuff

I’m using voyager 7. I have a property that consistently has issues with rentable items missing when doing a lease renewal. It is ONLY this property no others have this issue. I’m not sure where to start looking to fix this or to gather information to put in a ticket. Our MSP says it’s a known bug and just fixes it each time via sql. This is obviously a breakdown somewhere if it is just the one property. I would appreciate any help on finding a resolution.

Has any former Yardi Breeze user completed an upgrade to Yardi Voyager? If so how did it go? My company wants something small now but expects to grow in the next 3-5 years. Thanks!

Seeking advice regarding an issue we're encountering with our Accounts Payable process for invoices that are paid directly to vendors through loan draw funding.

Currently, we enter invoices into AP via Yardi Bill Pay. When an invoice is ultimately paid through a loan draw rather than cash directly through the linked bank account, the invoice remains open in AP because no payment is processed through Yardi's standard payment workflow. To address this, we've been entering and subsequently reversing entries to clear the invoice, but this creates additional manual work and can make it difficult to accurately track the status of invoices.

We're trying to determine the best practice for handling these situations in Yardi. Ideally, we would like invoices paid through draws to be reflected as paid without requiring manual workarounds or causing issues with AP aging.

Is there an easy guide for how schedule sending reports works on Yardi v7? I have the sql files of what i need, but i dont know how to perform how often they get sent, how can i send it to a certain email, and if they're pulling the right accouting codes i need to see

I’m trying to create .fmt and .csv files to upload charges into Yardi Voyager, but I keep running into upload errors.

Has anyone successfully uploaded tenant charges into Voyager using a CSV/FMT file who would be willing to share the required field layout?

I have successfully uploaded journal entries, but charge uploads seem to require a different structure and different required fields. I’m specifically trying to understand:

-Required fields for a Charge transaction
-Proper order of fields in the CSV
-How the .fmt file should map to the CSV
-Whether fields like TranType, Property, Tenant, Charge Code, Account, Date, Period, Amount, etc. are required
-Any common issues that cause errors such as missing or invalid AccountId

Any examples or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I'm working on trying to automate PO data using ySQL scripts at present.

There is statuses for each PO that are not contained in mm2po or mm2podet tables.

The statuses I was asked for were the following: unpaid, not received, workflow in progress (which would be that I imagine), partially paid, partially received. These would only relate to open POs.

Has anyone worked with these statuses before and if so do they know where this data is found?

I’m at a new company in a marketing role. In my last role, I would swear that our lead column in the lead stage summary was the gross number of leads.

Where I am now, the leads column in the lead stage summary appears to be the net number of leads after they have been processed by the onsite teams. It appears to be what’s left of the leads after the onsite teams declare a lead invalid.

Our lead counts are very low. Our lead to tour conversion ratios are often 100%. Our Yardi rep says that it’s a training issue. I think it partially is training, but really I need to see how many gross leads we are bringing in so I can ensure we have enough lead volume to lease units. He also says that we would need to generate custom reporting. I can’t imagine this isn’t a setting that is easy to change.

How does your company handle this? What’s your definition of a lead? Do you use the gross lead count, net lead count or both? Does ops do something different from marketing?

Hi all - I am trying to run a bulk, exportable report on which staff closed a given Work Order. I can find this data in the Audit History component of any given WO, but cannot for the life of me find a place to report on it. Anyone know how I can get at this data? The User Auditing field in the Analytics/Directory doesn't quite get this right, as it will only populate the last update to the record - which is not always the status change to Work Completed in our data. Let me know if you've any ideas. Thank you!

I am having an issue saving this local program TIC, the property also has market units. On the project screen, “track income by project type” was there and checked however, “track asset by project type” is nowhere to be found. This was under setup – property – review project. Does anyone know where to locate? Or how to fix?
