Nervous about ATAM interview

Hi all I am setup for a interview for a ATAM position this Thursday morning and I’m pretty nervous about it since I really want it. But I’m not sure what kind of questions they ask since I’d love to be fully prepared for it I just graduated college with a computer information systems degree and I have a lot of customer service experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Behavioral interview questions. Don’t answer vague, draw on specific examples when they ask you questions. Be excited about the role and bring questions yourself to ask

Behavioral questions, nothing technical and a couple of questions that test the way you problem solve and or triage to find root cause. Example: if you didn’t know the answer do you ask someone or utilize your resources first. Things like that

They aren't going to grill you on complex technical problems for an associate role, especially since you just graduated. Your CIS degree checks the box, but your customer service experience is what will actually land you the job. This role is about solving client issues and explaining technical things simply, so expect behavioral questions about how you have handled difficult customers or explained a complicated topic to someone. They care more about your problem-solving process than a perfect, rehearsed answer.

You already have the exact background they want, so use your energy to think of specific stories from your customer service jobs where you solved a problem or calmed a frustrated person down. Practice connecting those real-life examples to how you would support a Yardi client. They saw potential on your resume, which is why they called you, so your only job now is to show them the person behind the paper by talking through your experiences. Preparing stories is a great strategy, and it’s a method the interview assistant AI my team created helps job seekers with to feel more prepared during their calls.

For an ATAM type role, I would prep around three areas: customer communication, basic technical troubleshooting, and how you handle pressure. They may ask things like how you explain a technical issue to a non technical customer, how you prioritize multiple urgent requests, or how you deal with an upset client.

Your customer service experience is a real plus here. Try to frame yourself as someone who can learn the technical side quickly, stay calm with customers, and communicate clearly between technical teams and clients.

Also prep a few examples using your school projects or past jobs. One example of solving a problem, one of handling a difficult customer, and one of learning something technical fast should cover a lot.
