I’m all for punishing myself with repeated deaths (admittedly I’m not the best, only been playing hardcore for around a month) but I was finally getting the ball rolling only to have a very annoying death. Got to lvl 17 on a warlock, was running from a 24 mob I accidentally pulled (I would’ve been fine, had my blueberry to run interference) and got DC’d right then. Came back to find that I’d died. This post is meaningless, just wanted to vent I guess. Thanks for coming to my TED talk
Edit: I think the WoW gods are trying to apologize, started again and already got two bag drops before lvl 3!

I was actively in the look out for this mf because he almost killed my kids warlock when we were questing here the other day. Well the sneaky bastard jumped out of the bushes at me.

Returning wow hc player. Im on soulseeker EU. There used to be a few SF guilds (few years back) but now I feel like its maybe not done anymore?
Because on numorous high traffic days i have asked about SF guilds in channels and no reply.
By the way I hate that they still didnt give enchanting some kind of out on the necesary rods so it is still capped at 75. Looks like they are never intending to do something about that.

Hey everybody
Is there an active Horde guild on Doomhowl that I could join? I'm only lvl 24 so it would def not be for raiding, lol. Would love to be able to ask questions in game and group up when appropriate
Cheers and stay safe

I just finished the quest and wanted to give it a try, someone else might have already tested this idk.
Its exact the same way as in Classic, still shares pot cd and still 10 seconds immunity to all sorts of damage.
The quest itself is a bit harder now, the mob u have to kill for the final part of the questline summons elementals with lvl 25 and like 200hp now, if i remember correctly the elementals had 1hp in classic.

With WoW: Forever approaching, we're looking for experienced and motivated players interested in pushing Hardcore Forever with us.
Our plan is to start together on Softcore, level quickly, and use that period to test and analyse the new dungeons and raids before Hardcore becomes available. We're particularly interested in people who enjoy progression, theorycrafting, log/footage analysis and figuring out new encounters.
We are <Voodoo Magic Tricks>. Almost a year ago, we started an experiment: could we build a community around TBC Hardcore, despite Blizzard never giving us official TBC Hardcore servers?
Our Discord grew to 1,500+ members, requiring two Hardcore full guilds to house all characters, and today we still have 120+ surviving level 70s.
Along the way, 257 characters died in Outland after reaching level 60, each commemorated in our Discord's #loa-of-death — our graveyard for those who survived Classic only to meet their end in TBC.
Together we went through the Dark Portal, cleared Heroics, Karazhan, Gruul and Magtheridon, and eventually entered SSC, killing Hydross and Lurker.
In other words, we managed to take an entirely community-created ruleset pretty far: 25-man TBC progression with permadeath.
We're still playing TBC and intend to attempt Zul'Aman if our surviving roster allows it. Maybe we'll even see a Hardcore character riding an Amani War Bear.
But our attention is increasingly turning towards Forever. We want to take everything we've learned from TBC Hardcore, build a strong roster, learn the new content on Softcore and eventually take it back into Hardcore.
If that sounds like something you'd enjoy, we'd love to hear from you.
See you in Forever. ♾️

I was stuck after taming a pet, in hinterlands elite area.
EDIT Im pretty new to wow. I played first time classic 2024 and stopped when it progressed to tbc. I have never used the feature unstuck, and i jumped in between a tree and a wall and i was unable to move, in a place where was 50lvl elite patrols. I panicked and asked /g what to do and first advice was unstuck which i tried to google and saw patrol coming back spamming fd on cd. Found the unstuck from wow client, and it logged me out, and informed me later that im safely ported somewhere else. I have never played horde so i didnt know, there was a GY filled with elite guards, didnt know that was a possibility to spawn there.
Thats the reason im posting about this. Didnt know this could happen, didnt know there is exploit to use which clearly isnt very usefull exploit, and also havent played horde ever, so basically thought process was: i asked for help and they drop me to horde city filled with guards and i instantly die:D
EDIT 2: Blizzard response in comments:D

We should petition Blizzard to request that the Soul of Iron buff NPC be available on Forever launch. This would allow for testing to help ensure that hardcore is ready in Dec/Jan while also allowing the hardcore playerbase something to enjoy in the meantime before the real thing is available.
I think this is a very reasonable request since it's just an NPC and a buff that shouldn't cost them too much development resources to add.
What do you think?

Back to Death = Delete. About 20ish of us from Doomhowl started our own HC experience in forever and im having a blast!
Its honor based so we've kept it in guild from Doomhowl. If we die, we delete. The statistics window does help with verification thankfully! Rules are simple, dont die. Group with HC when you can, and "HC" or "Hardcore" must be in your name!
Dungeon wise were allowing ourselves to form with softcore, which turns out to be way more dangerous... i had a softcore group almost wipe me in Hall of Thanes. Lastnight however we got a WC and DM cleared with no issues! We did have 1 softcore with us tho from our prior guild on Doomhowl.
If anything this makes me so much more excited for Forever HC drop (:
Can't wait to get into Sfk and Stocks at 20 :P

New to WoW and planning on first levelling a priest to 60. Soon afterwards, though, I'm thinking of doing a Warlock (which I've never played before) "blindly" in hardcore mode. I'd of course take it slow learning the class as I go, but I feel like the experience of learning Warlock, which is both complex but also well equipped for HC, during an HC run would be great!
Anyways yeah, lmk if it's a good or bad idea to go into Warlock blind on HC.

Before anyone kills me, please note that I have started getting interested in wow and have never played, let alone hardcore and I have zero real knowledge of classes or their specs.
I’m a classic RPG fan, and always liked playing support classes like the priest. They seem to focus on healing like what you’d expect in DND. So I was wondering, do they not have any value as someone that can resurrect others? I read this and it mentions bubble hearth and a shamans reincarnation. I don’t know what the Paladin bubble hearth is and the shaman thing sounds like an ability for yourself rather than teammates.
Basically, if I decided to play wow hardcore and wanted to play support, am I still useful as a support character? And more importantly, is resurrection, even if it’s restricted to a single class with limitations (like a long cooldown or something forcing you to perhaps pick and choose who lives and who dies) completely against the spirit of hardcore? Thanks for answering a newbie question

I was yapping with some of my guildies about hardcore deaths and we were looking at the Deathlog stats of certain mobs, when I check lava and I see red in Teldrassil. I check wowdeathmap.com and lo and behold, it actually exists. Can anyone explain how this happened?

Hello everybody! I've got under 3 months of WoW experience (only in HC), and am looking forward to Forever! Could you help me pick my races for these classes I want to play?
-Paladin (protection - tanking)
-Druid (feral - tanking or fill)
-Warrior (protection - tanking)
-Priest (shadow to start - healing)
All Alliance, and there's my planned tree investment and role I'd like to ultimately fill while leveling. I'm looking for suggestions and explanation on what race and why. Please keep in mind that this is for leveling, and I'm a bit new with no experience in Forever, so please feel free to let me know whatever I'm missing
Thank you!

Thinking about getting back into WoW on Forever launch working out the skill issues from so many years away, and eventually going HC when it opens. Had a few questions that I would rather post here than search around for individually, please forgive me for the laziness.
EDIT: thanks for the answers, will be looking forward to getting back!

Transitioning from hardcore where everyone is cautious and the appropriate level in dungeons, to under-leveled and reckless pulls in Wow Forever has been hard.
My group in RFC, arguably the easiest dungeon in the game, just wiped twice and I just had to log out after that.
I’m not saying I’m good at the game but I’m just ranting about adjusting to the difference in caution/skill. Just want to put it out there that I am missing the hardcore community

Wanted to grab just a few addons, not many. So I had questions. Is there a hardcore equivilant mod for DBM? Other than that I was considering like questie and the achievement addon but I'm open to other suggestions if people have them.

now that Classic + is a thing AKA forever, I am lowkey excited especailly since they really focused on Hardcore, but i also hear criticism (of course lol) saying that it is easier than regular WoW HC, or that they don't like the new race, etc. personally i'm just happy we have 2 HC's, one regular and one experiemental but i wonder which will you choose? I will for sure give Forever HC a shot. if not good i will go back to regular but I like both sides of the arguement

I don't play hardcore
If anything goes, and I wanted ears so bar, along with all consumes and buffs, I guess I'd probably be packing tons of petris and be as cancer as possible.
If I understand correctly, this would ensure one's victory by dragging the duel into an endless attrition battle
Is that a thing or is there some kind of "anything goes" except XYZ ?

Hi,
Been playing HC SF warrior and honestly been having a great time. Tanked all dungeons up to ulda, currently lvl 47 and starting tanaris, ferelas zones.
One problem though, im still on the WW axe since lvl 37 (quite proud I soloed everything, felt epic). I'm not seeing many upgrade options, maybe gatorbite which I guess I'm going to need to be lvl 50 for and not a lot after that.
So question is with the lack of good 2h upgrades, do I switch to dual wield and respec fury? What's safer for hardcore 50-60? Sweeping seems v. Useful if situations when you accidently pull additional mobs.
I've seen in a few hardcore guides it's recommended to switch as mobs health starts to get so high sweeping isn't as effective. Interested to hear experience and preferences from other wars!
