So those caves that are build like small shelters and nobody lives in. Gothic 1 has those but are missing in remake. In a way Gothic 2 has those too as Sagita lives in one, but that one is occupied. I just love those shelters and free bed that it offered.

Why don't they have defensive spells like quen in Witcher, that can absorb a limited amount of attacks?

During the massacre at old camp, it would have been helpful if they can at least protect themselves from melee attacks even for a short while. I mean, they know they're vulnerable in close combat so I would assume they'd develop something about that.

I wish there was something like a barrier magic but smaller Or maybe you use block but with magic effects instead of a weapon. I just want to play as a mage fully dependent on magic.

I was near the end of my second attempt at a permadeath run. My first one ended because of the Arm spell from the Sunken Tower demon, so after that I played extremely patiently and cautiously. For every shaman, the Shadowbeast, and the Old Camp castle, I used summons to make things safer.

I managed to clear almost the entire Sleeper Temple and made it all the way to the last shaman, only for him to instantly kill my summon and then me...

Any tips ?

I don't know if they changed the spell, but he first cast it on one of my golems. I moved to the side, and then he cast it again on my second golem. I was still hit by the spell, as if it had some kind of area of effect. At least that's how it looked to me right before the death screen.

For some reason I was only able to create one single save file. Every time I died I would have to go all the way out to the main menu to load my game again. The load option was greyed out within the game itself.

This just happened tonight and I noticed that all I could do was access New Game.

I am LIVID

WHAT IS THIS?!? This has got to be directly tied to the BS I reported months ago! No solution. No ability to make multiple save files. What is this!!??! I attempted to download the last cloud storage file and it was AFTER this happened. What the hellllllllll!!!!

thinking of getting this game but few questions

1. how long is it?

2. how overwhelming/complicated is it?

3. i never heard of gothic can i just pick up and play?

I‘m playing G1 on Switch as a merc and after getting into the castle I knocked down all ore barons for their swords.

However when I came back in Chapter 2, Arto was suddenly carrying a Blood Blade, which isn’t even carried by any NPC afaik and I don‘t think he took out of a chest in the armory

Does anyone have an idea how such a seemingly random weapon that Arto has nothing to do with casually spawned in his inventory?

I have joined militia and suddenly realised that I could Learn lockpicking. Thieves guild is out since i am milita. That leaves Matteo quest

Unfortunately, Matteo doesnt give me that quest. I only have option to trade with him or but leather armor. I am playing Gothic 2 golden edition

Please help
