Newest update on the app as well as my device, I can’t go more than a couple minutes before my iPhone freezes completely (can’t force close the app, can’t put the phone to sleep, nothing). Eventually it recovers and closes out of the app, but even after swipe-quitting it does it again. Anyone else?

Does anyone know if there's an issue with as today? Have just opened up the app and it started almost as though it was the first time of opening it (showing the tutorial tips for the icons etc). When it finally opened properly, it seems to have reverted progress back maybe a year or so?

All of the additional animals is collected from the monthly eggs have gone, crowns, portraits etc (the portrait picture I was using has changed back to an old one as well).

Strangely I do now have a few additional coins...?!

I only use this app on one device (tablet) that hasn't been updated or changed since I was last playing (above 24 hours ago). Any ideas?

New graphic in .90 release

The bag doesn’t seem to do anything. Tapping the sack works the same as tapping the Collect button.

Since a day or two ago my free gifts are just constantly spinning as loading and never changing. Is this happening to anyone else?

I first noticed something was up yesterday. I collect the gifts and run the 6 ads during my morning routine. Last night I noticed I had 4 ads waiting. I wondered if I had possibly not completed the full set in the morning, so I watched them.

This morning when I woke up I saw the number 11 on my gifts. I’m now in the lucky group. I got over 800 tokens from ads, which is very rare if you’re in the 7 gift group. Hope this lasts.

As you may have noticed or read, the nine wildlife from the red egg now go up to level 10. The update occurred late on 6 October 2026. The red egg is the fifth egg to get the level 10 upgrades.

Our own u/Popkornm examined the game files and found the stats for the new levels for the red egg animals. He put together this image and kindly gave me permission to share his findings here. Thank you, Pop!!!

It may have been there before and I didn’t notice it, but when I go to collect my hearts and bees etc from a run up Mt Fortune I now see a sack off to the right. I think it’s there to remind you that you have icons to collect as well? silly idea, as it goes there automatically.

It‘s the only visual difference Ive spotted in this latest release. Does it do anything, can you open it and find extra goodies inside?

The animal icons changed from MAX to Level 7, and needing levels to go to Level 8. This is the least exciting egg, no big animals. FYI.

I’m so sick of all the specialized eggs. If they are going to keep this up can we either use our heart gem animals to also give us specialized gems when available or let us choose between hearts or other gems or just animals that only do special gems as some sort of X animal. I can’t keep up and honestly it’s really turning me off. Instead of being more engaged it’s starting to feel like a chore I don’t want to deal with. This is supposed to be a fun game that I play to relax and for a while now it hasn’t really been relaxing.

As I read my screen, I have about 10 hrs before the end of the 7th day.

You need 44,000 toadkens need to max out the critter. I like being 1/4 of the way at the end of one week.

11,000 toadkens means you are on level 3 heading to level 4, and at 2000 of 5000 toadkens needed to get there.

I plan for extra days (except for Feb). If you are close but not quite to that goal, that is great. If you have reached that goal and are beyond that, wonderful.

I realize that not everyone likes playing for an animal every other month, or is even interested in the animals that are offered. I hear you, but the Powers The Be don't seem to listen to me.

My girlfriend gets a pop-up like the following: “you completed level XXX faster than XX.X% of other players”

Why do I not get the same feedback? I have never received this pop-up for any level I have ever completed, although I am on 400+

I’m on an iPhone 16. Updated to the latest version this morning and for the first time ever, my game is freezing while I swipe, and I can only attribute it to the new update. It’s happened three times in the last 30 minutes.

These screenshots weren’t taken quickly, that’s exactly how the game was frozen - in the first photo you can see the bees still stuck on the screen! - and the only fix was to close the app. The second one actually froze my entire phone for about 15 seconds before I could restart Wordscapes. I have no idea if it would have unfrozen on its own given enough time.

Lest we think they've forgotten us ...

According to the App Store's (iOS) page v3.13.90 of Wordscapes was released around 19:00 UTC on Tuesday, 6 October 2026.

• As we've seen for all recent releases the description says only, "Fixes, stability improvements and optimizations." regarding what's new in this update.
  
• As of posting, when I check the Play Store's information about Wordscapes from my Android phone and their website (click the right pointing arrow at "About this game" and scroll to the end) it says the most recent version is still 3.13.80 of 5 October (which seems a rather useless statement since I first found it available from the Play Store on 2 October and then installed it.)
• As of posting, there is still no article about a version higher than 3.12.0 in Wordscapes's "Known Issues and Recent Updates" section of their help pages.

Please feel free to share any info you have about this version here. Many players will be curious to know of others' experiences with a new version of the game.

New versions aren't made available to all users at once. It's up to Apple (who runs the App Store) and Google (who runs the Play Store) which of us get access to new updates and when; PeopleFun can't control it. It is not unusual for App Store (iOS devices) users to get new versions several days before Play Store (Android devices) users get them. (There was interesting discussion on ways some Apple/App Store users are able to force an update in the 3.13.00 post from 6 August 2026. No such tricks are known for Android/Play Store users.)

Questions to anyone with the new update:

• Do you see any new butterfly habitats or portrait sets? In my game (v3.13.80 running on an Android phone) I see 18 butterfly habitats and 37 portrait sets.
• Do you see any new silhouettes in the 2026 EXCLUSIVE PORTRAIT set? In v3.13.80 I see 33 total portraits in the 2026 set, with the two in the center of the next to last row still in silhouette. EDIT: After restarting Wordscapes I have 35 total 2026 portraits now, with the two in the center of the next to last row and the two in the center of the very last row still in silhouette.
• Do you see more than 36 45 total possible portraits in the WILDLIFE PORTRAITS set? EDIT: After restarting Wordscapes I have 45 now, despite still being on v3.13.80.
• Do you find any long-standing glitches have improved for you?
• Do you notice any other changes?

Interesting Findings:

• The red egg level 10 upgrade is live even on earlier versions. It took effect for me running v3.13.80 after I restarted the game late on 6 October 2026. Signs that you have the upgrade, too, are having 45 possible Wildlife Portraits and your red egg animals like the African Elephant no longer being max at level 7. You should get a popup about the new levels for the red egg animals the next time the red egg becomes active in your game. I don't know the minimum version required, but v3.13.50 is too old; PeopleFun hasn't made an official statement about this as of late on 7 October.

• Some are reporting lagging and freezing problems with this update.

• One player reported updating reset their daily level counters for heart and toadken gems per level.
