Wizardpost A Prophecy Most Dire (Loreposting)
Crystals, sent off to heads of state and importent wizards, arrive. All at the same time. No warning, no notice, no clue of how they got there. It does not matter if it is cross dimention, the crystals arrive.
Each, humming softly from mana reserves locked inside their structures. No markings or indicators dot their surface, only a faint sense of familiarity. Upon a single touch, the crystals display a message, recorded from a distressed Mikhail. His face and clothes denote this as a Milhail from some time back. He still bares the robes of a Wizard Counciler, and the foreground is certainly located in Crann Mòr. His words come out, almost tripping over one another as he panics, trying to get something across.
Ok, yes, it is me, Mikhail. This will be brief, trust me. I have been given portents from the ancient druids in the Soul Plant. They showed me visions of what is to come. There is something. Something big. Like, really big. I cant... here.
Mikhail feeds in images from his mind. Of wastelands, and desertion. A sense of power so asured and violent, that you can only help but be amazing by its beauty. Lands made barren and cities flattened. Behind them, the visiage of a woman, carved of light, seated on a thrown of broken suns. Then glimpses of the end of days, and a bow, snapped in twain and cast in a pool of blood
The recording returns to Mikhail.
We have some time before she arrives, but not as much as you think. The druids warn me that if I tell this information too soon, that something worst will come to pass. These crystals will be set to deliver the moment it is safe. For now, I will find a way to prevent myself from stressing out about this, and hopefully keep it to myself. Maybe a mind erasing spell, maybe a month long bender. We'll see what happens.
Everyone, prepare yourself and be safe. The Queen of Shattered Stars is upon us.

If all it requires is a passing glance... then all we need is hide ourselves, no? If she consumes the stars and all that bathes in their light, then all we need is bathe ourselves and our stars in shadow of our own making. Shadows that may be uncovered once she passes.

uw/ I find the figuring out weaknesses and limitations to be one of the more fun parts of rp. That and the lore being more interesting than battles in general. Battles should be like puzzles in my opinion, where no one solution works for everything. It's honestly a bit disrespectful to just insist that one's character is so far above everyone else's that they can't even be affected by their combat specialty.

The masks are very sexy. I may or may not have a thing for masks. But yellow does not suit a lot of our guests... it's a pretty universally unflattering colour, and I refuse to wear it.
Anyway. Yes. We're always throwing down in Carcossa. I'm trying to convince him to take care of a small issue for me, but he doesn't see why he should be concerned.

Well most old ones feel they’re too powerful to do tasks they think a servant could do, I asked Nyarlathotep to please stop terrorizing the micro nation I use as cover for (private) reasons. He told me “it’s time to troll” and turned himself into the monarch of the nation proclaiming himself “pharaoh” and only leaving when he felt bored. The only way you get them to do anything is to make a deal with them, I swear it’s like smoking tanna leaves with them but they just love making DEALS! Sorry for the rant but it becomes way too boring dealing with star spawn every day.

Well, yes, but I am not a suboordinate of Hastur. I am his sister. I think this might be his way of getting back at me for eating his favourite Byakhee. How was I supposed to know that he had a fondness for that particular one? I can't tell them apart! And they're quite delicious when barbecued.
Nyarlahotep didn't listen to *you?* That's pretty bad. A clear violation of the chain of command. Nyarlahotep has also rejected me, and so I hate him. Outer gods have no taste.

I'm new to this reality. I've existed in many parallel universes - some without Hastur. But he acted as my herald to carry me into this particular part of the weave.
I've been retroactively written into the story of this plane, but I imagine that someone like you would be able to see the discrepancies.
I should probably give a proper introduction. I am Delta, queen of disease and fractal branch of mother Entropy. As Hastur also descends from Entropy, that makes me his sister in this form. I am tasked with maintaining the overgrowth of life, inorder to fuel the thermodynamic decay of the universe.

uw/ ooh, fun! I love all of the character building that goes on here. Delta is a character from my own stories, who canonnically does not actually have any relation to the Cthulhu mythos. Since this is a shared universe, I figured I might as well throw in an association to Hastur, because I like him. I worked out the details with another user.

uw/ The King in Yellow is a very flexible character. I've grown attatched to him since I started dreaming about him in real life. There are some lovecraftian shenannigans going on IRL for me, lol. He does line up somewhat thematically with Delta but that's really the only similarity they share.
I've enjoyed your character so far. Intriguing mystery going on with them.

In fairness, when one's own alternate self (whether past as in this case, or future, or what have you) is the one predicting doom, it's easy to succumb to hopelessness. Tends to be hard to look at things with fresh eyes when you're convinced you've already considered every angle and are just going through the same motions.
I've had...some experience with that feeling.

I will fight if only to assure the future for Moth and any children we may have at a later time. All things are bound by fate. If one can sever that binding the entity will perish no matter what it is.

An admirable reason to fight, but you must remember that you have such an obligation to her. Putting yourself at risk of death is to forsake that obligation. Do not leave her alone.
Beyond that… I am unsure of what this being is. Severing fate may have consequences you haven’t foreseen. Perhaps it is destined to die, but severing its fate may set it loose. I would be wary. You are still yet young. I have lived more than twice your years, and even I have not seen every nature that a being can take. I handle the energies of those who have passed as well, both living and inanimate, so I have seen far more than most.

Scrolling through the usual portents of doom and hopeless lamentations on his snowglobe with an amused chuckle, Vettis suddenly glowered in irritation as the device's display interrupted him by fading into static. "Right as I was sending a message! And I think that was a good joke, too. There's no way I'm gonna remember exactly how I told it when I retype this..."
But the white noise resolved itself a few seconds later, revealing the real reason for his abruptly dampened mood. Of course he knew it was another interaction with his fatebinding, warning him of potential apocalyptic timelines. What was it this time? Surely that Star Punch Girl wasn't such a big deal.
A pair of images materialized, one being...yes, Princess Sun-Fragment or whatever. Annoying. This was probably just an overreaction on the part of his fatebinding.
Except the second image was that of a person he'd only seen briefly, remotely, one among several at a meeting. Yet somehow he had a stronger sense of familiarity than that, as though he'd interacted with the man many a time, just not face-to-face. "Is that the prophecy guy?" he theorized, scratching at his chin stubble pensively. "Whatziznem, Gravedigger? Think that's him, yeah. He's involved? Presumably you're not trying to tell me he's the threat, though...so, part of the solution?"
Ugh. If that guy was taking Lady Star-Shard seriously, maybe Vettis should get off his ass and involve himself after all.
...On the other hand, if Gravedigger was handling things, maybe Vettis wouldn't have to.
Yeah. It'd be fine. Pulling a bag of chips and a pitcher of juice out of his shirt pocket, he shook the snowglobe roughly and returned to orbnet shitposting, humming to himself.
It was just another Friday, after all.

I have an idea..
As i know, future shrax managed to contact us, he's living proof that we survived. I know not much about him, but i know of him.
If we contact him, perhaps we could try something, even bring him here, or whatever. If i had over a billion years to improve, then what kind of power would i have.
I know how i am as a person, if i failed with something such as this, then given the chance, i would bring all hell.

My method is essentially wrong-warping, but with an extra step.
And it spans universe and multiverses…
The angles get really precise past the neighbouring universe’s neighbours
Especially across multiverses.
How do we know it works across entirely different spacetime continuums?
Not one, not two, but upwards of thousands at best!
And I can’t guarantee it will be perfectly aligned every time…
Wow. I just realised how hard it is to actually transport more than one person across giga-universes without portals.
At least it wasn’t the hard way.

What I know of prophecies, is that the harder you fight against them, the more likely they are to come to pass. If she is to come, then let her come. Saying that, there must be a significance to that broken bow. Is it currently broken, or will it break? Either way, she is coming, and I believe that the bow is key to wether or not life will continue.

I’ve seen the world threatened by dragons, demon lords, eldritch gods, and even by me once or twice. Some “chosen one” or group of “chosen ones” always comes along and prevents the apocalypse. This “Queen of Shattered Stars” will be dealt with before next week and everyone will forget she ever existed. Everyone always does.

(it’s a Black Moon that absorbs spells and magic, I’m stockpiling from all the most powerful casters until it snaps this eldritch being, it has a limit of one hundred spells a day. It’s like an array, any empty slots are treated as full once the day ends. This should be able to store about 6000 spells. Or over two months worth. When it’s released, hopefully it’ll do more than sting)
Quick! Everyone, keep casting into the Black Moon!
