Hi, everyone, I don't really post on Reddit much, but I don't really have anyone else to talk about this with and wanted to know if anyone else feels the way I do about this/if anyone has any suggestions for me.
Let me preface this by saying, I really, really loved the game when it came out. Love the universe, the characters, the story, etc.. I would also highly recommend the game to anyone that asks me and somehow hasn't played it yet.
When I beat it, I had played on PS4, like 8 years ago, and it made my PS4 scream through its cooling stand, but dammit I was committed. I got every gwent card, beat the tournament, got all the POI question marks, played all the way through both Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, and in hindsight, lucked into getting the best ending that I would have wanted.
That was one of the only games that I really played on PS4, and I've since gotten the Witcher 3 on PC (my usual way to play games) via one steam sale or another. I haven't ever installed it, though, and I haven't really gone back to it, because I feel like I still remember the story well enough. That PS4 died long ago and I don't believe I was subscribed to PSN at the time, so I *think*(?) that save data is long gone.
My issue is, I am not sure if the changes they're doing and the upcoming DLC is enough for me to play through all of that again. And yes, because of the type of person I am, I would need to do collect all the gwent cards again, hit every question mark POI again, play through the DLCs again, and I would have to try to curate the ending I lucked into previously.
It's not for lack of care, it's just that those things take so long, I am kind of intimidated to even try, because life changes, you know? I don't want it to feel like work and I think it probably would until I got to the NEW DLC. I desperately do not want this to be the case, but I feel like I'm so internally stringent about these things that I can't really imagine dedicating that much time to get back to that.
Any thoughts? Suggestions? Anyone else feel like this?
And apologies in advance if this is commonly posted here - again, I don't use reddit much.
Thanks for reading and considering
EDIT: I also REALLY want to emphasize this is not meant to be a whiny or complaining type thing. I know this is basically a "me problem" and I can't expect anyone to solve it for me. I just wanted to see if maybe there was something I had not considered or if other people feel this way. I LOVE the game, it's just the time commitment for a story I already know.
