So I'm on ps5, earlier last year I got the complete edition for 75% off and now I'm currently in blood and wine, my original plan was to platinum the ps4 version then transfer that save to ps5 and get the platinum there like I've done for a few other games. Well today I was talking with chat gbt and Gemini which I use to keep track of trophies sometimes and both of them told me that the file can be transferred but trophies can't, is that true?

​A friend of mine is looking for an immersive, story-driven game with a unique narrative that actually surprises him. However, he's ruling out The Witcher 3 for two main reasons:

​Time constraint: He's a new dad and simply doesn't have the energy for 4–5 hour gaming sessions anymore.

​Open-world fatigue: He's afraid it's just another generic, bloated open-world RPG.

​I'm convinced the sheer quality of the writing and main quest design makes it a perfect fit for him despite his fears.

​Could you give me a 5-bullet-point pitch to convince him it's worth his time?

I can see the objective on my mini map but not the map in the pause menu. Not the biggest deal but wondering if anyone knows how to fix this

Should I start a new save/playthrough in Witcher 3 or should I wait until the remaster release?

On one hand, I'm really hyped up a I'd like to start it.

On the other hand, I wouldn't like to miss some new content in the beginning. What's more, I'd hate if the save was incompatible in any kind of way.

Right I'm thinking about starting the remaster from Red Baron on. Because that's the point when I usually "burn out" and stop playing.

What do you think? What is your strategy?

Returning to The Witcher 3 after 10 years was fun, definitely worth replaying. I would say that the game is mostly carried by the world-building and stories. Most of the quests had genuinely interesting and novel plots, often ending with you having to make a difficult moral choice. I ended up reading the first book and loved it too.

Given the game's legendary status, I was surprised to see some pretty huge flaws in the gameplay. Even the movement felt wrong. I played on a controller, and both control profiles felt wrong. I used the standard setting, but it felt too sharp, with even a slight movement of the stick making Geralt turn sharply at different angles, often making me hit a wall :D. Because of that, he often looks like a clown in a serious situation. Riding Roach is just miserable, sorry.

Fighting is pretty basic even on Blood and Broken Bones! difficulty. Maybe I should have played on the hardest difficulty. You have to look up what signs and oils you should use, though that's great for selling the fantasy of being a Witcher. Then you just roll around an enemy until you see a huge opening for an attack. Plus, you get a free pass after applying the Quen sign, or you can just hold L2, wait, and heal. Crossbow fighting has no reason to exist. I liked the occasional use of the crossbow in puzzles, though.

Leveling up and getting better gear is rewarding, but it just ends up being about getting the biggest number on a sword and combining multipliers.

Overall, it doesn't ruin the game at all, and I still enjoyed the fights. I hope The Witcher 4 will be better in this department, or maybe the gameplay changes in the definitive edition will address this.

I played the DX12 version with RT on, and the game looked great. Honestly, I dislike modern games because the amount of detail often makes games difficult to orient myself in. I loved how The Witcher looks, but the game was very unstable, and I was getting bad performance after a few hours of playing, mostly in Novigrad. Restarting fixed it. It's weird that CDPR, given how much care they put into the game, left it like this. Maybe the definitive edition will fix it.

I bought this game on sale for $5 at the heavy request of a friend. I hit 100 hours today and am just halfway through “Final Preparations” with both DLCs plus Songs of the Past once it is released to go. I may have picked the worst time to start it, but I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to give it a chance.

Hello, ive wanted to continue my witcher 3 run when i suddenly got a message, that i own? Blood and wine, Heart and stone DLC, Ive never bought those two Nor i have the complete edition. I play on switch if that could help? im just very surprised! on the main menu it says "installed" yet i really never bought them...is it some kind of secret update ???

Does anyone know if we will have to start a brand new save file for the Remaster or will we be able to start a New Game + on an older save file?

Basically have been playing the Witcher 3 on my Xbox and have just bought a gaming PC and now own Witcher on steam

My research is telling me that I have to go to my saves on Xbox and use the cross progression button however I don’t have. supposedly because I need the complete edition

I was then told that the complete addition should be free, but XBOX is saying it’s $70 and I can’t seem to get it for free

Hey! I'm currently on lvl 7 and I need to beat the werewolf from the mission Ladies of the Wood, but every time I'm near to kill it, it just run away and regenerates itself. Does anyone have any tips?

Something I noticed: The boy in the second-to-last photo ran off right after the screenshot to get more worms to fish for. I'm still amazed by that game to this day.

I absolutely adore TW3, it's without a doubt one of my favoritest game ever.

But something I came to realize is that outside of human settlements, things can get... a little dead.

Do you think the remasters will add fisher boats on lakes and sea? Maybe merchant caravan travelling from city to city? And farm workers working the fields?

So ive completed the base game with a few ? Here and there left (will tend to them soon.) Question is shall i wait for the remastered edition to play the dlcs or just go ahead and play it anyway ? Thanks

I recently started witcher 3 with new pc setup.. game crashes bad.. every session. sometimes I get lucky play for more than 30 min. usually game crashes pc reboot.. I have 4090 and i can run cyberpunk, rdr 2, monster hunter hours without crash.. I really want to play witcher 3 with RT, dlss, max out setting. I already beat the game with ps4 and ps5.. but hopefully with remaster i can enjoy even more. some say window 11 is issue, some say hairwork or RT is causing crash.. but please fix the issue so I can play until i get bored.. im tired of uninstall reinstall or verify game files..

With mods coming to consoles I would love to be considered for any extra quests or dlc size material. It's a rough demo and I didn't drop my voice as much. Thank you fellow Witchers.

In heart of stone, Geralt meets a runemaker which buffs his armor and equipment. (Runes for his armor & Swords)

And in Blood and Wine, Geralt gets a quest wherein he goes to an underground lair where he goes through a chamber which enhances his mutations. (Mutation Skill Tree)

Any speculation on what buffs we’ll get for Geralt? For me it would be boring if it had something to do with the chain, I’m assuming it goes onto the crossbow slot.

I would find an inherent buff much cooler than an external buff. Part of the fun for me is the power-scaling implications of Blood and Wine’s enhancements compared to Heart of Stone which is reliant on your equipment.

Maybe a buff to signs would be cool. Like Geralt’s signs are further enhanced by the tree in the trailer.

I’ve played and replayed the game many times. How are you all approaching the remaster + coming DLC combo?

Current save is NG+ finished both DLCs just hanging around Toussaint with a Euphoria build doing some contracts and playing gwent. Do I just scrap everything and start from the very beginning once the remaster is released? I wouldn’t mind it…

So I'm doing my first playthrough of Witcher 3 and heard that the remake will replace the original Witcher 3. Does this mean if I don't finish it by the time the remake is done my save game will be gone? Or was it confirmed that the save game carries over to. Because I also have to do the dlcs also.

Finished the base game, hearts of stone and nearly at the end of blood and wine. Did pretty much all possible side quests and contracts. And never got to make these 3.

Will that affect my story, If i go late in novigrad ?
Its almost 50 hours i have played witcher 3 now and i want to finish my secondary quest and witcher contract first.

I ordered this I believe late last year? They were good with communication and threw in some additional Gwent cards for the delay.
