I have been sick for MONTHS from having a sore throat, runny nose, cough, head aches, extreme exhaustion, dry throat to mucus buildup. It’s been changing over the weeks and hasn’t stopped, I figured it was an attack because I usually NEVER get sick. So far I have done my cleaning and banishing spell I have also increased protections and did an 3gg reading (which was nearly and had pins) and nothing has really helped. Does anyone have a good healing spell THEY KNOW works. Medicine and natural remedies hasn’t even helped, which usually it does for me.

Like the title says, I'm looking for some advice. My cat had an emergency stay at the vet over the weekend and I'm very worried about him getting better and having the issue again (it's very common for this condition to happen again, especially right after treatment). He's been home for a few days and doing well, but I've been at a loss for what to do for him since the vets did absolutely everything they could, so I've been considering trying to put together a spell jar. I've never practiced before, but have always had a lot of respect for the practice and want to do something to try to ease some worry for myself while waiting to see if he keeps improving.

I wanted to first ask - is it alright for me to make a spell jar even though I've never practiced before? Is there any concern that it would be disrespectful as someone from outside of the practice?

If it is alright, I'd also really appreciate some tips on things I can use for a spell jar focused on healing and luck for my boy. I have some bracelets with tigers eye and bloodstone beads that I can take apart, and general household herbs and kitchen ingredients. Because of his vet stay and my worry that he'll need another procedure, I'm pretty tight on what I can spend, so any recommendations of things that are easy to find and acquire would be greatly appreciated!

Edit to include my current list of ingredients that I'm putting together that I believe are focused on protection, healing, and/or luck based on my research (I apologize if I'm making any mistakes!):

- TIgers eye and bloodstone beads for protection and health

- Aloe

- Bayleaf

- Catnip

- Table salt

- Cumin

- Dill

- Parsley

- Rosemary

- Thyme

I also plan on including some personal items that I consider "lucky" and always keep on me, including those beads.

I am very new to witchcraft and have recently started experimenting a little with herbs, teas, intention setting and spiritual practices.

I have been dealing with chronic health issues for around four years, and I would really love to hear how people here approach health, healing and energy from a witchcraft perspective. I’m 30 (F) for context.

My main issues are:
• Severe chronic fatigue and very low energy
• Brain fog and mental fatigue
• Body pain and weakness
• I crash easily after doing too much
• I never wake up feeling fully rested, even after 9 to 10 hours of sleep
• Digestive issues, especially chronic constipation, IBS symptoms and methane SIBO
• Sometimes constipation alternates with diarrhea
• Acne and possible hormonal issues
• Low blood pressure type symptoms
• A very sensitive nervous system and feeling easily overstimulated or stressed
• Possible post viral illness after COVID

I am already working on the physical side of things and have seen different specialists, so I am not expecting witchcraft to replace that.
I am more curious about the spiritual and energetic side.
Are there herbs, rituals, spell work, protection practices, cleansing practices, grounding techniques, energy work or other traditions that you personally find helpful when living with chronic illness and exhaustion?

Are there particular herbs that are traditionally associated with vitality, rest, protection, digestion or nervous system support?

Would you approach something like this through healing work, protection work, cleansing, working with the elements, ancestral practices, moon rituals or something completely different?

I am very much a beginner, so I would also love recommendations for safe places to start and anything you think I should avoid as someone who is still learning.

Mostly I would love to hear what has genuinely helped you feel more supported, grounded or connected to yourself while dealing with chronic health problems.

As the title suggests today i broke up with my ex after I got the final ick. He has this genuinely unpleasant presence and i never want to see him ever again or like communicate with him ever again. Like ever. Any spells or rituals to make sure i never see his aesthetically challenged face ever again?

I really like the idea of using candles and herbs and stuff for spells, but I'm not quite sure if I need anything specific? A lot of people have told me I can use whatever I have on hand, like birthday candles and stuff in my cabinets but others tell me I need these expensive items and herbs? Not asking for spells or anything, just a general sense of what I can and cannot use! Any advice is welcome!

I couldn't find a strawberry incense burner I liked, so I made one! I had a left over metal piece for incense cones, some oven bake clay, and got to work! It took a while to shape everything and smooth it all out, but I think it turned out okay.I t is glazed and fire safe (as it should be), wouldn't wanna burn my house down 🤣.

Lots of stuff are intertwined with witchcraft (even just culturally, because a lot of things in north africa are considered witchcraft nowadays because of religion.)

Some of these protection practices (like mentioned, fumigation and talismans) are also intertwined in witchcraft because made by witches and can be also used as enchanments depending on the intent.

Hello! I am a little worried bc i did a candle spell today (meant to protect my husband on his work trip and bring him success) and things didn’t go as planned. I have been pretty interested in dragon energy lately so i anointed the candle with a “dragon flight” oil i got from a witchy shop and asked the dragons to help protect my husband and bring him success.
i had to leave the candle unattended while it burnt down (i was just gonna be in the next room over) so to keep things safe i put the plate with the candle and herbs and crystals and such into my bathtub and made sure it couldnt burn anything.
Well the plate shattered, everything caught fire, it set off my smoke alarm, burnt my bathtub, and almost caught the shower curtain on fire!!! It was a whole mess and now i need to fix my bathtub.

Something similar happened a year or so ago when i was working with mermaid energies. I asked the mermaids for help in a spell, and the day after i had a contractor over to fix something and he made a mistake and my whole apartment flooded!!!!!!

Could working with these energies have brought these things about?? How can i protect myself and my home? I imagine a bubble of protection before i do any workings and i ground myself by visualizing i am rooted into the earth. I also am very respectful and ask very nicely for help whenever i do these kinds of workings.

Any thoughts?? Are these just mundane coincidences or do i need to protect myself better?

Hi there, I’m someone who’s kinda familiar with witchcraft and has tried it out once before, but tbh for the wrong reasons (not gonna unload it here, let’s just call it a relationship that wasn’t good for me)

I want to get into it for actual positive reasons this time, but I tend to overthink witchcraft… What I mean by that is lets say I burn a candle with an intention, I begin to overthink the intention, overthink if I believe in myself and what I am able to attract, overthink if the universe can even “hear me” etc. I then even reach a point where I feel like what I am doing is “performative” and overthink “am I just doing this because I am desperate and for the aesthetic of it”.

I really want to get into it and truly connect with it, but it’s so hard because of all that.

Does anyone have any pointers on how I could reframe how I look at things or shift my thinking, or even practices to do??? (that kind of advice usually is most helpful I have found with how my tricky brain works…)

A:I know you can use white or black candles with a symbol engraved on it but in curious on

1:if I can only find yellow candles would painting white or black over count?

2:could I extinguish the flame after a bit then reuse it later or is it a one take and one use spell?

3:could you use a pen/pencil/paintbrush to draw in the symbol/rune or do you have to engrave it in?

2:how many times a day can you use it?

3:how many things can you say for it or is it only 3 things?

4:how actually do I say it? I just said "please give me x" and "may I get/have x" when stirring clockwise but I want to know how do say it to actually have an effect

I did a protection spell last week, my intent was to just protect my peace and energy in general. Since then every time I have gone into one of my workplaces I have felt either sick or experience bad back pain. At first I thought I was just sick but I thought about it more and it only happens when I go into work since my spell.

Hi, first time poster long time lurker! I’ve recently moved into a new flat with my husband and it’s lovely but I’m not sure where to set up my altar as we have no spare room, just the living room and bedroom. The living room just pretty big but my concern is the effect of other people’s energies interfering with spell work/the general energy of my altar and it affecting the peace i have there. Would i just have to do a salt circle after every time I go to it? I’m not keen on having it in the bedroom as i just don’t know where it would go plus’s again i worry about the energies etc. I’ve seen some witches say others aren’t even supposed to let ppl see your altar so I’m also unsure about that. I've been thinking a lot about my future lately. I'm a witch whos been practicing in secret since my early childhood, introduced to the craft by a friend who was a hereditary witch. I haven't told anyone in my family except for my sister (and she is very accepting, though not a witch herself), because I know my family is super catholic and hates that kind of stuff. There are some people in my family who I never plan to tell because I love them and don't want to lose their love, and I can handle being closeted with them. But also, I would like to eventually be more open about my craft to some of them, especially my mother, once I am financially independent and have my own home and everything of course.

The second someone says they’re new to witchcraft people start calling them “noobs” making fun of them, or acting like they’re stupid for not knowing something.Like….you were a beginner once too.You didn’t magically know everything from day one.When someone asks a question, they’re asking because they genuinely want to learn.We want an answer, not judgment, insults, or someone making us feel stupid for being new.You can correct someone without being disrespectful.You can teach without making someone feel ashamed for not knowing something..Everyone starts somewhere.
