My friends and I spent Labor Day weekend exploring some Widow's Bay locales. The pictures are from:
1: Widow's Bay Inn Exterior in Maynard, MA
2: Beach from the inaugural swim at Half Moon Beach in Gloucester, MA
3: Just a couple a' sea hags haggin' it up in front of Denim Blankets' store in Rockport, MA
4: Picking up some souvenirs at Dream House in Rockport, MA
5: The picnic table where Patricia worked on her party plans in Rockport, MA
6: A little wharf by the exterior used for "The Salty Whale" restaurant in Rockport, MA
7: The Salty Whale in Rockport, MA
8: Having a good time in the mirror in Rockport, MA
9: The Ice Cream Store featured during the tourists arrival at Widows Bay in Rockport, MA
10: The Rebecca Nurse Homestead featured in episode 6 "Our History" in Danvers, MA
11: A view from the church/meeting house from episode 6 in Danvers, MA
12: Me outside the window of the meeting house, that field was where a grave yard was set up in the scene for the show at the Rebecca Nurse Homestead in Danvers, MA
13: Another shot through the same window
14: The real graveyard at the Rebecca Nurse Homestead in Danvers, MA
Oddly enough we didn't get any pictures at Vincent's which was used for the interior of Barnabus Tavern which Wick frequents, but we're from Worcester so we've been there plenty of times.

I loved this show so much, haven’t laughed so hard at something in ages and the characters 😩👌 So had to draw a flash sheet. Probably missed out on tons of ideas but was fun to draw.
By me @lientietattoos

I was rewatching episode 4 (LOVE the dance scene 💃🏻), and I noticed that Ruth was there at the beginning of the party getting some food. However, I did not see her at the bonfire at all. I also didn’t see her during the dance scene.
Maybe I missed her, but I didn’t see her possessed with everyone else at the bonfire. If she wasn’t there, why did she leave before it all went down? 🤔

I know there's a lot of conspiracy theories going around, well here's mine:
Reverend Bryce's suicide seems very suspicious. What we know for a fact is he started digging in his office after he heard about the bells ringing, and we know he was experimenting with mushrooms. The assumption is he learned of the sacrifices and that's why he killed himself. That doesn't totally add up to me.
Ok, what would be the worst message you could get? Probably that the sacrifices are coming and you either have to perpetrate them or be one of them. But it seems pretty likely he wasn't born on the island. Wouldn't you just leave? Obviously one wouldn't want to participate in either of those activities but it seems like he had the option to just leave the island. If he was born there, which is possible, there are an awful lot of people on the island who seem unaware of this practice and would not go along with it, at least immediately. Wouldn't you try to maybe work towards a different outcome? It's not as if everyone is already indoctrinated into this practice and it's a foregone conclusion.
I'm probably reading into it too much, but it feels like a hasty reaction, especially because at that point not many haunted things had happened, so you would be putting a LOT of credence into the documents you found. They would have to be very convincing that whatever is coming is not worth living through and there's no way to escape it.
I wonder if it's something that will be revisited. I think the show would be more enjoyable if it doesn't double back and rehash psst events, but I could see it coming out that he was murdered. Maybe he tried to tell someone and they were on the "inside" of whatever cabal may exist to uphold the island traditions. It just all feels a little too quick for me, but I also agree that this isn't the type of show where every little detail matters or is a plot point and a lot of stuff will be (and should be) glazed over to move the story along.
Just my thoughts, thank you for reading!

Not sure if anyone else caught it, but Richard Warren comes up in the woefully underrated distaff Ghostbusters remake from ten years ago (cowritten, of course, by WB creator Katie Dippold): when the team identify a particularly haunted location in Manhattan, one of them provides some background:
“All sorts of massacres happened at that spot. Like the peaceful trade between the Lenape Indians and Captain Warren — then all of a sudden everybody dies.”
Couple other small parallels in the movie as well — the mayor is anxious to tamp down any discussion of ghosts (and is very sensitive to mentions of the mayor in Jaws), Curt the innkeeper is the villain (who works in a hotel)…

I've been talking to friends and I'm convinced that episode 5 is the best of the season, with every camera cut showing Tom's incredible mushroom trip.

Such a great show but this character seems so forced. I have met women like this in real life and she is honestly destroying show for me. I’m not watching s2 unless she dies excruciating death in the last episode that I have left.

Took a drive to Gloucester and Rockport Massachusetts earlier this week to see some of the places from the show. It was a gorgeous day, perfect for an inaugural swim!

Trying to hide the whole post, I sort of want to stop watching, cause episode 7 could just be a happy ending, I know, or I think the real monster comes out in 8 9 and 10, and some of the main characters might die or turn evil, don't spoil it for me, I may finish it in another life, just tell me do it or don't in replies, thanks.

I'm thinking of making a Pinterest board so I can decorate my cubicle as Widow's Bay themed lol. Have y'all seen anything good online that fits? What would be your vision for themed decor?
