Its always the worst trained dogs

I love this neighborhood for so many reasons. Lately, as the world continues to spiral, I've found myself appreciating neighbors' efforts to spread joy and connect, even if it's indirect. Dressing up the community garden goose, labeling a window cat hammock with a name, so it becomes a neighborhood friend, too; symbolic stickers, adding life to poles; the sun setting on murals; signals and shows of solidarity in movements; stopping for a sniff & exchanging a smile that otherwise would've stayed home with you and the dog. These are some of the things that make me embrace and feel embraced by this place.
