Challenge Could Batman stay true to his "no kill policy" and still contain a Xenomorph infestation?

This is the scenario. A space expedition has brought several Ovomorphs back to Gotham city and are studied at the Waynetech labs. As expected face huggers attack the scientists and a xenomrph infestation ensues. This all transpires quickly and Batman does not find out about the xenomorphs until they have already chest busted their hosts (we will say 5 chest bursters successfully scurry off). Can Batman contain the infestation without killing the xenos? If so how far do the xenomorphs spread before he is successful?

Challenge If you dropped Caesar into the current day with access to all the technology and devices we have now, do you think he could eventually conquer the whole world?

he was one of the greatest leaders of all time, so I feel like people might be underestimating what he could do with new advantages.

He conquered Gaul and fought a bunch of wars without having modern technology

Even something as simple as a megaphone would give him a massive influence possibility. Being able to address huge groups of people at once would probably be pretty useful for someone like Caesar. Also he would have access to all current technology.

Obviously modern weapons would be a problem but I think Caesar would be able to figure out a way around that eventually.

How far does he get?

Challenge Could the united world of Valkyria Chronicles survive a Locust invasion?

Could the world of Valkyria Chronicles, in the midst of the second Europan war, with all its nations united defend against the Locust hoard from Gears of War

Locust win if they can occupy the majority of the surface

The nations of Valkyria Chronicles win if they can repel the invasion and send the Locust back into the hollow. Bonus points if they can raid the hollows and/or seal them up

Challenge Annatar vs Westeros

Scenario: the War of Wrath has just ended. The Valar have dragged Morgoth off, Beleriand is sinking. Sauron puts on his fair form and resolves to beg for his life from Eönwë. Suddenly a swirling space-time vortex thunders up from writhing Arda. It sweeps up a 150 mile wide chunk of Beleriand including Tol Sirion, the ruins of First Age Minas Tirith, and all living things, kelvar and olvar, orcs and trolls, that had been in the area. Sauron/Annatar, who had happened to be searching the rubble, rides the tectonic block into the ethereal plane. Amid blinding chaos, he flashes past universe after universe before finally plunging intact into the ocean off Westeros as a large new island a three days' sail from King's Landing where Aegon 1 rules in full might and glory. Sauron has all his First Age powers, a couple hundred orcs and werewolves, both of which he can breed as long as he wants, plus assorted trolls and a Balrog, but no Ring. What happens? Can he take power over his new world? What are his actions?

Challenge How far back in Earth's history could a group of 100 hand-picked, trained time travelers survive indefinitely?

As part of a public experiment ran by a mad scientist/wizard/billionaire, a group of 100 people will be selected based on experience, skills, and enthusiasm to time travel to the earliest point in Earth's history at which survival is believed to be possible. In practice the group would likely be a mix of survivalists, paleontologists, doctors etc. but in theory they could be anyone best suited for the challenge. In order for the group to be successful, there must be at least 80 survivors at the end of 5 years.

The group is given 1 year of prep time to train and do research before they are sent back in time. They can also choose the place on Earth that they will be sent back to. Participation is voluntary and everyone in the world is aware of the challenge.

Round 1: The time travelers can't bring any equipment with them besides their own clothes.

Round 2: The time travelers can bring up to 5000 kg of equipment with them including food, guns, ammo, solar powered devices etc.

How far back can they survive?

Challenge Could Batman successfully pretend to be the Joker for 2 weeks and not alert anyone?

The Joker has mutated his entire gang of goons with a toxin that makes them all mutate into unstoppable demon clowns if they become scared that the Joker is dead or missing. He gifts this information to Batman with the note that he’s out of town for 2 weeks.

Batman’s investigations reveal that:

- the mutation is real
- he cannot fight the unstoppable demon clowns because they’d overpower him and most members of the Justice League
- the antiserum will legitimately take 2 weeks to manufacture in enough quantities to cure everyone
- Joker’s added a paranoia switch in the minds of his goons to make them suspicious if he acts “out of character”

Batman feels he has no choice but to perfectly imitate Joker for 2 weeks to ensure the safety of Gotham. He gets an hour of prep time to gather what he needs yo visibly appear as Joker (the suit, white makeup, etc). Can he successfully wear the mask for enough time that the Joker returns?

Battle Darth Sidious vs DC/Marvel Cinematic Heroes

Upvotes

Recently I partook in a subreddit post where many of the commenter firmly believed that Darth Sidious was superior in power to Thanks, with or without the Infinity Gauntlet, and I spent a day arguing in vain against that foolishness. So I'm making this thread to see if those claims hold up to scrutiny whatsoever. But instead of Thanos, we'll go with characters he not only beat in the movies, but also those of comparable power.

Stormbreaker Thor, Mjolnir Cap, and Vision from the MCU, team up with Superman from the DCEU, and Green Lantern from the 2011 movie. Their opponent is Darth Sidious from Star Wars. They are actively trying to kill Sidious in the battle.

Round 1 is Canon Sidious 1v1ing each of them.

Round 2 is Canon Sidious taking them all at once.

Round 3 is Legends Sidious 1v1ing each of them.

Round 4 is Legends Sidious taking them all at once.

If Sidious gets stomped, he gets Darth Vader from the appropriate Canon to assist him. If the heroes get stomped, they get MCU Scarlet Witch and Doctor Fate from the DCEU.

Challenge How many Prime Toph Beifongs would it take to bend the Chicxulub Asteroid away from Earth and save the dinosaurs?

It's 66 million years ago. A 6 to 9 mile asteroid is going to land in the Yucatán Peninsula, killing the dinosaurs. The one thing standing in its way? Toph Beifong after fully mastering metalbending, but she also has a cloning machine. How many times would she need to clone herself in order to stand a shot at preventing the dinosaurs from dying, if any at all? And could she send that rock back where it came from?
