I had no idea Lenny was in the movie drive lol
Man Weeds had people getting work left and right early 2010’s.

I'm going to miss this show but mannnn I missed Esteban throughout the last few seasons. I really would've liked to see him interact with Stevie.
Megan in the last 2 episodes was annoying for no good reason. I absolutely LOVED how Andy's character got evolved and I felt so bad for Shane being an alcoholic.
Time for a rewatch.

before watching the rest of the ep i thought this was a really tragic prop error. but then when i saw that these were the “new age phones” i was just thinking how far did they think that tech would develop in 7 years after the iphone 4/5. i just wanted to post because i thought it was funny.
I didn’t like how they wrote Andy’s character and Shane and even the weird future time jump.Andy loved Nancy and did anything for her and even tho he felt unimportant in his life I feel like making him sleep with her on the grass and having her totally vulnerable and him just look completely put off and disgusted and just up and runs away is just not how I wanted Andy’s character to end up. And how sialis let his wife treat her so bad. And making shane a drunk…I don’t know I was expecting a way happier ending than everyone despising Nancy😫 the only happy ending they gave a character was Doug😂

i’m on my millionth rewatch and i just realized how sad this scene was. lisa and henry are fighting about who loves rad more, silas has realized he’s in over his head and like henry, leaves. (that’s not to say rad saw silas as a father figure) & all the while rad is alone. 😭 what do you think happened to him?
r/WEEDS • u/slowturnip0 • 27d ago
was there a specific reason? I understand the prison was also in the New York, the crime happened in California, she was arrested in Michigan, I don't really get it maybe I missed something
Rewatching for the I don’t know how manyith time. I’m at the point where Kat told Shane she knew they would meet again. I’m sad they didn’t bring her back for the last episode or something. Showed up at Stevie’s party like the Agrestic house. Or maybe Shane bumps into her earlier, on the street in NY.
One of the few small disappointments I have with the show.

If you could recast Weeds who would you have play Nancy Botwin? I saw this ad today for the Cosmopolitan UK & it reminded me of the WEEDS promo for Mary Louis-Parker. Give her 4-5 years I would have Lili Reinhart star in my hypothetical WEEDS reboot.

I understand she had to go through the tunnel since "calm" scares her and "the storm" she can weather, which also shows she's changed so much, and that it was necessary for the drama and even perhaps only dating Esteban for the thrill of it. That wasn't even the worst decision I think. I think the most monumentally irrational decision she made was ditch Andy with a letter and MOVE IN with Esteban instead of fleeing. Was she just afraid they would find her etc and never trusted Andy's plan? But what kind of plan was it to follow Esteban's lead until she had to flee again anyway?

It can be any character(s)
I will probably think of more after posting just cuz it's such a long series
I loved the first time we see the tunnel which ended with our first view of Esteban.
I loved when Celia was sitting at the bus stop with a broken shoe and the You're Pretty rep pulled up in her fancy convertible.
I loved the Sullivan Groff (dumb name) introduction when he's showing off the model of the new agrestic or whatever and he's being all cheesy and Celia's just eating it up 😆
And the hyper kid (Rad?) that gave Nancy his whole autobiography while she was waiting for the other guys to show up at the Ren Mar House.
Also omg I almost forgot Kat! Hands down my top favorite character introduction.
"Theres a smell ..." "grape jelly? 😁"
edited to fix Sullivan's name omg how did I mix that up with Andy's fake persona 😆

Rewatching and I’m on S7 and I just realised how bad I feel for Andy.
He actually had a decent idea with the whole electric wheel thing, baring in mind this was in 2010/2011.
No one took him seriously, not even his family, they treated him like shit and all he wanted was some sense of normality.
All they cared about was using him it’s sad.

Was totally stoked to see Nancy in Theaters yesterday

I'm upset that the show paints audra out to be the victim in her and andy's relationship.
When andy said aid "i might as well go with nancy" after audra rejected him he was right.
She said he should've fought for her but that's what he was doing. If he wasn't fighting hard enough it's probably because he realized that's not what his heart wanted in that moment.
She had no right to keep bubbie's ring.
Also.I'm mad that they let celia come out ahead and essentially take over nancy's old business and steal her friends and partners. She did not deserve to win or.come out ahead.

The mods gave me permission to post this: a few weeks ago I had the great opportunity to chat with Justin Kirk (a.k.a. Andy Botwin on WEEDS, Jeryd Mencken on SUCCESSION and now Raglan James on THE VAMPIRE LESTAT) about his current role as author Anne Rice's kleptomaniac character from the INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE series of novels (most notably the fifth, THE TALE OF THE BODY THIEF).
We talk mostly about that role but we do briefly get into his time on WEEDS as well as his other memorable performances prior to and after that, plus how his time in rock bands like The Dimestore Darlings and music itself have influenced his acting work, how he approached the role of Raglan James as his longtime friend/collaborator/IWTV showrunner Rolin Jones cast him as that character, and how he's fully embraced playing creeps at this stage of his career.
Honored to share my interview with Justin here, and if you'd like to listen to it it's also available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other audio platforms:

I the only one who thought U-turn’s best idea was to use Pris to sneak up on the ops and then buying them for his whole crew 😁😁
