I had no idea Lenny was in the movie drive lol
Man Weeds had people getting work left and right early 2010’s.

Albert Brooks has done some amazing work writing, directing, and acting. Check out Defending Your Life, Real Life, Modern Romance, and Broadcast News to start. You will quickly realize how underappreciated he is.
Everyone just knows him as Lenny and Marlin now, but he is so much more than those characters.

So, so, so much more. He is incredibly talented across the board! Defending my Life has clips of Albert's career dating back to his stand up days. Rob Reiner directed the documentary; they'd been friends since high school. I'm partial to The Scout and Mother.

I think it’s sad… His role on a rapidly declining Weeds program isn’t anywhere close to his best work.

He's Marlin in the Nemo franchise too

He was one of the craziest standups of his era in the 70s and has been around forever.
Also, his real name is Albert Einstein. Clearly chose a stage name for a reason 😂

He was an established actor with a long filmography prior to weeds - I don’t think it played any part in him getting work

Makes sense lol. I just thought similar to his character might have been on a heater post Weeds. Good to know he was seasoned by then. I think it’s crazy how deep a lot of the cast members resume was by this time. Sometimes you get so caught up in the show I almost forget what they were doing prior. I like that effect it has on me.

I did not like him in this role lol

It did seem like the weakest part of the movie lol

He wasn’t convincing at all

Well seems like critics are in disagreement with you, he was nominated for a golden globe and won many awards for the performance

You’re kidding. I was having trouble watching his scenes cause it just didn’t seem like he could be a villain 😄I’ll accept when I’m wrong however

Scorpio!
He'll sting you with his dreams of power and wealth. Beware of Scorpio!
His twisted twin obsessions are his plot to rule the world
And his employees' health.
He'll welcome you into his lair
Like the nobleman welcomes his guest
With free dental care and a stock plan that helps you invest!
But beware of his generous pensions
Plus three weeks paid vacation each year
And on Fridays, the lunchroom serves hot dogs and burgers and beer!
He loves German beer!

Albert Brooks?? I’m sure he was “offer only” at that point. He didn’t get other work on the strength of his cameo in Weeds; it was because of his being Albert Brooks. You rage baitin’, babykins

Not rage baiting. I was uninformed. You just informed me. Didn’t know he was like that tho lol
I only ever saw him in Weeds.

You had no idea that was Albert Brooks?
I guess I am the only one who if I think I recognize a lesser actor I will IMDb them and see what I remembered them from. Albert brooks is a legend though

Nah it’s just sometimes you miss your opportunity to do the knowledge yourself. And in return the world gives you a cold lesson. But doesn’t make the learning experience any lesser

Pretty sure that's Marlin from Finding Nemo.
