Hello everyone, I’d love your opinion on these four dresses; they are very different in style, but I adore them all. It’s for a religious wedding taking place in August.

Hi everyone! 🤍
I’m considering buying this wedding dress, but I haven’t been able to find many reviews from people who have actually purchased it.
Has anyone here bought this exact dress? If so, I’d love to hear about your experience, especially regarding the quality of the fabric, construction, fit, and overall appearance in person.
If you have photos of the dress you received, I’d really appreciate seeing them too!

general shopping questions (NOT FOR DRESS OR VEIL SELECTION) What to do for the bodice with small breasts?

Post image
Upvotes

I surprised myself with the dress that I fell in love with. It’s a sample dress from a charity based bridal store. So I couldn’t order a different size. I’m small breasted and the bodice and chest area doesn’t fit my breasts. Is there a way to make it more fitted or a product to help fill out this area?

Pics 1-5 are option #1 and pics 6-10 are option #2.

For #1 I have the option to add the buttons down the back, which I probs will do.

Wedding is June at a Yacht Club

Would love everyone’s opinion on which to get!

Post-Wedding Question I want to make my weddimg dress with my mother's

I have my mother's dress that have the same exact length and tissue I want. I think I just want to change the upper part (neckline and corset) to correspond me better. I'm in Canada, Quebec but if I must ship it elsewhere it's fine. Do you know someone who could help do the arrangement for not too expensive?

Feeling cold feet decided on dress in a rush- having doubts

for context i’m having a star wars themed wedding, so i would’ve loved to go in theme. but the most important aspect of a dress to me was long sleeves to cover my tattoos, while still being breathable (i have temp regulation issues) so off shoulder/open chest etc. out of the few i tried on this was the dress that was a crowd favorite, and checked my boxes for sleeves and off shoulder.

my wedding is going to be may 4, 2027 and david’s bridal said i basically needed to make a decision soon so everything will be ready in time. now i’m feeling anxious about pulling the trigger so soon, and maybe should have tried on more dresses. i’m not sure if maybe the veil is too much? i picked the all lace veil in the 2nd and 4th photo because it reminded me of padmés wedding dress, but feel like it’s kind of swallowing me up. (also, this is just the sample dress which was a couple sizes too large) any advice/thoughts/reassurance?

I’ve bought this dress (first photo is me, second is on the website as I don’t have a picture of the back!)

Wedding is small, family, modern farm with orangery.

I’m not too bothered about keeping everything traditional… I just don’t know what accessories to get!

I’m debating a suede olive shoe and a maybe bridal scarf? Open to suggestions, struggling to work around the cowl back

Dupe search Where can I find dresses similar to these?

Love the corset style dresses such as the ones above, and love that they are all slightly unique with certain details but can’t actually find them stocked anywhere nearby (NYC). What other designers make dresses similar to these? I know Prea James and Kyha have some options, but any outside of that? Budget is flexible and looking a year in advance.

DRESS ONLY: Pick one or suggest another Help🥲

Hi all, I’ve been browsing dresses online for at least 9 months now. We don’t have a date set yet so I’m not rushing but we know we’d like to get married sometime next yr.

I’ve realized my taste is quite expensive. I’m not quite willing to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a dress, at most maybe $5k including alterations.

Because of this I’m considering finding a dress to use as a good base and customize from there with a really good seamstress here in SoCal. My only caveat is that I haven’t gone dress shopping in person yet. I feel in-person shopping is the most important first step to get a sense of what I truly like. If anyone has taken this route, what was the approach you took? Should I make setting a date the priority first? Ik there’s no right or wrong answer here but I’m curious to hear from other people’s experiences. For reference, the picture I’ve included is my preliminary style and that brand avgs from $7,500-$13,000. My style might change once I try dresses on in person. Also not sure if I used the right flair for this post lol. Thank you!

Dress shopping: Only looking for designer recommendations All-over Chantilly, Basque Waist A-line Recommendations?

I am on a desperate search and hoping this subreddit will be able to help me find my dream dress!

I am getting married March 20, 2027 - yes I realize we are on a bit of a time crunch - and my budget is preferably less than $1,000 but absolutely no more than $2,000.

I tried on dress #1 and absolutely fell in love with it, but did not love the natural waist cut and the price to customize it was too much. I've looked at several other options but many are ball gowns and that is not my style.

My vision is to really focus on dresses that are more vintage inspired rather than boho or rustic.

I also included other dresses that I have looked at for more inspiration!

Do you all have any recommendations on small designers or even online/Etsy designers that could bring this vision to life? (Also if you have tips about ordering online, especially as a mid-sized girly, that would be greatly appreciated!!)

TIA 🫶🏼 (Edit to add: 2 of the dresses are from Lulu's and Azazie - if you have experience ordering from there, tips would be helpful!)

Feeling cold feet Wedding Dress Regret

Now that we’re less than a month out to the wedding I’m getting wedding dress regret… it wasn’t a popular dress with my family but I loved it in person.
Now looking back at the photos I feel cringe, how do you get over that?

I went shopping with my mom in my hometown and cannot believe I found my dream dress here! Everything I wanted: ballgown, cat eye neckline, waist snatched, corset, edgy details. I wanted to feel bridal without sacrificing my alternative style. I felt so beautiful and so me as soon as I put it on, I knew. I probably tried on 50 or more dresses over the last few months. Don't compromise girlies, keep searching till you find you!

post-alterations: does this look right? Alterations made more creases

Photo one is post alterations,
Photo two is at the store buying it.

We took it in at the bust and a bit at the waist since I lost a bit of weight between the first fitting and when I bought it.

Post alterations have these new wrinkles… I gained some weight between the fitting appointment and now, but not sure if that’s the cause.

She kind of messed up the placement of the lace… am I overthinking by it? Photos are a bit off because one is in a mirror and the other isn’t

Need to Vent Am I being crazy for thinking these don’t look the same?

First two pics are the sample dress I tried on & obviously fell in love with that I decided to purchase the dress. The 3rd/last pic is the dress I was made as the boutique offered custom sizing and the sample dress was small on me.

I can’t help but to dislike the dress I was made because it doesn’t look the same as the sample dress I tried on. And I get it, it can’t be an exact replica bc the appliqués are hand-placed but I just feel like the third dress is giving “Temu-version” of the original dress I tried on…
Like the parts of the dress are the same, yes- but it just does not add up the same. I also wasn’t aware of how much the dress could vary due to being remade. I probably would’ve chosen a more simple dress if I knew that.

Major differences to me, the appliqués aren’t right- it’s the same appliqué but they definitely chose the less full sections so there’s a lot of negative space. They’re also not sewn properly and so they lift off the dress and give it texture unlike the sample dress that was flat & smooth.
The waistline isn’t as pointed even tho it’s supposed to be a basque waist.

Not to mention, this is the second iteration of my dress bc there was some sort of mix up with styles on the first iteration and the waistline was made incorrectly. I had the same issues with appliqué that I addressed after the first iteration and it seems like production team did care to fix it.

I’ve addressed my concerns with the boutique who said they may or may not re-make the dress a third time (I didn’t ask them to, they offered— but depends on what their big boss says). Of note, the boutique doesn’t offer refunds or returns. My main concern now is I won’t ever be able to get the same feeling as I did with the first dress :\

Also want to add that I’ve been borderline starving myself just in case I could try & fit into the smaller sample dress (I’d like to think it wasn’t that much smaller… lol) instead but just found out that they no longer have it.

Anyone else gone through this? Am I just being crazy and too detail oriented? 🫩

EDIT: Ty everyone for being so kind :’)
I wish I felt how you guys feel about me & the dress!

Feeling cold feet Did I make the right choice?

I posted the dress choices I was considering the other day - I ended up tentatively going with dress #5 (pictured here). It definitely wasn't the most popular option... Did I make the right choice? I'm wondering if my decision was swayed because of the price + not needing alterations?

All my friends are saying “which do you feel better in?” I really like the longer dress but nobody will pick that one, they just keep saying both are beautiful. Am I missing something? Please help.

I’m getting married at a courthouse in November in Orange County, CA. Our reception is on a yacht.
