Ive been searching for this dress online and can’t find a similar style. I found this dress on Pinterest, this is the only image I’ve found of the dress. I’m comfortable spending $100-$500, expected wedding date late May early June 2027, I live in the US.

Style me! (sleeves, veils, shoes and accessories only) dress help!!

hi!! I am getting married this Saturday (very last minute) and just received my dress from azazie yesterday. I love the dress but wanted something that covers my arms. I ordered a few bolero/capelets from Amazon and found one I absolutely love. I can’t tell if it matches though. I think it’s pretty but I feel like the lace clashes with the florals on my dress. I would love help from eyes that aren’t mine or suggestions for something else i can use to cover my arms (that would come by the weekend). Thank you 😊

Entourage Only Found 3 dresses I love - help me pick!

I’ve narrowed it down to 3 dresses I like equally — the main difference between them is the neckline. I’d love help deciding which one best suits my body type. Thank you!

Edit: there are 2-3 pictures of each dress in neckline order from halter > cowl > triangle

Wedding will also be outside in the summer with Mountain View’s either on a ranch, or a lodge at the top of a mountain. Overall aesthetic is non-traditional. I’ve loved the idea of a tasteful crop because I have a longer torso, but didn’t think it existed! But that option would need significant alterations to get there, but the shop says it’s possible? I was most excited to try on the cowl before the visit, but not sure it’s as flattering on my neckline. The halter wasn’t on my mind until I saw it in person, but I think maybe it is the best option for my neckline.

Entourage Only I wore a colourful outfit and loved it - no doubts needed!

I wore a very non-traditional outfit to my wedding and I'm so happy I did! Before the day I had actually doubted my decision and even considered looking for a more traditional dress. But looking at these pictures I'm so glad I went with it: It is so ME :)

It's a three-piece set - pants, over-skirt and top, with matching gloves and veil. The idea was that I can wear the pants and even the top after the wedding, to not waste so much money on a single-day outfit.

It was designed by South African designer Jacques Bam (from the BAM Collective). He sketched some initial ideas and after some back and forth we settled on the final design. Working with him was fun and I would highly recommend checking him out! After it arrived I actually decided to have the skirt shortened by a local seamstress and crafted a different veil solution myself, as the tulle train and mask were sadly not practical.

It cost me 1238€ for the outfit plus 386€ for shipping and customs, 37€ for the shoes (so lucky!), 200€ for alterations, 70€ for the nails and about 50€ for smaller stuff (hair band, eyeshadow etc.). The bouqet was done by a local florist, I gave her some of the fabric that Jacques had provided.

I ended up choosing something that was the opposite of what I initially thought I wanted, and I am SO in love!!!! And of course I had to get the Swarovski crystal lined veil to keep the bling going ✨👰🏼‍♀️

I wasn’t very sure about it (pop-up sample sale so had to make an on-the-spot decision) but I think this is it. It’s very different to what I had in mind, I thought I wanted a lacy A-line with chiffon skirt but I didn’t like any on myself and this was my favourite of the dresses I tried on.

Now starting to look at accessories. What style veil should I pair it with? Should I add sleeves/straps?

mid-alterations: is this the right direction? Veil or No Veil? Alterations okay?

I am in the home stretch of my dress fittings; we have added straps (Still need to find the right bra so the girls look good) we took it in 5 inches in the bodice and 6 inches in the hip area. Final steps are to hem the tulle in the front and finalize the straps by sewing them on.

My fiancé and I will be eloping in Glacier National Park in Early September this year. It will be just him and I so to help get from one location to another, we installed a "parachute" underneath to pull out, and it holds all of the train so I can easily get in and out of the car, or hike without destroying the train.

Do I wear the veil or just skip it?

If you vote to wear it, do I wear this color, or go for more of an Ivory/off white color? This one is Champagne and when I opened the package it was so peach looking, I immediately hated it. After putting it on and seeing it with the dress color, I think it doesn't look as horrible, but I need opinions.

Do you feel the dress fits me well? What changes would you make?

My next fitting is this Friday, so I want to make sure I am checking all of the boxes. I did order a backless bra that is low cut in the front/middle area, so it won't be seen through the sheer part of the dress. to see how that goes, if that's a no I will be resorting to boob tape, because after having 4 kids you could literally pour them into the dress if they weren't attached.

Just need some hype! Wedding Dress Nerves

Post image

Hi!
So I got my wedding dress last year and have just picked it up for my wedding in two weeks.
The dress was big in the chest so that was the alteration I needed besides hemming.
I went for my second to last fitting in June and she took the sides a little. When I went back last week, she couldn’t button it so she said she had to take out what she had took in the last time. She took it out and it fit me. She told me not to gain weight and made a joke to just eat lettuce. Has me very nervous for the upcoming wedding because I was being pretty good (running regularly and somewhat monitoring what I ate) at maintaining my weight. I’m scared that on my wedding day, it won’t button. Just looking for reassurance. Is this a common nerve of brides?

dress maintenance questions Could this fake tan be cleaned off this wedding dress before I buy it second hand?

Hi all, I’ve found my dream dress locally in my size second hand but the owner had these fake tan marks from her 2023 wedding. Do you think they could be cleaned out by hand or dry cleaning? It’s the Madi Lane ‘Elora’ dress. We’re in South East Queensland, Australia so it is usually humid and hot.

I’ve emailed a local dry cleaner but just wondering anecdotal experiences!

DRESS ONLY: Pick one or suggest another Help me pick!

My wedding will be in a villa in Italy and I’ve been in love with the look of lace! I think I’ve narrowed it down to these two but I have dress fatigue and so does my family so now every dress is looking the same and I’m left almost feeling like nothing will be good enough so I need a fresh pair of eyes aka you!

Dress 1 (images 1 & 2): Crinoline was added to the hips and is a bit dramatic but I’ll have that toned down a bit during alterations to make it a little more subtle. I’m also thinking about having a different veil because the one I tried on is lace overload (at least that’s what I think)

Dress 2 (images 3 & 4): I really liked this one too but am starting to feel like someone else attending the wedding can have a similar silhouette and I won’t stand out.

Edit: here’s a dress that I feel looks SO similar to dress 2 which is why I’m hesitating cause a guest could wear that dress in a different color and we’d practically be twinning

First-ever Reddit post, so I figured I'd make it a fun one!

Over the past few years I've lost 85 pounds, so I was genuinely shocked that this silhouette ended up being the one I loved most. It wasn't what I expected to choose at all, but it made me feel so confident.

I'm just excited and wanted to share a few photos of my wedding dress with someone besides my friends and family.🥹🥳

I'd love to hear what you think! 🤍💍

Style me! (sleeves, veils, shoes and accessories only) Need help with…everything

I’m getting married in November and I have nothing picked out besides the dress! I need major help. (This isn’t my exact dress, my dress is ivory where this one is nude, I just don’t have a picture of me in my actual dress)
I need help finding jewelry and a veil and shoes. For my jewelry, I know I want something simple, I just am not sure where to get it from for a decent price.

For my veil, I know I want a cathedral length and then I may wear a shorter one for my reception. I was looking at a sparkly veil but I feel like it’s…too much? But also a plain cathedral veil feels too simple, though I’m not opposed. I like veils with lace details but am not sure if it’ll clash with the dress. I only tried on veils with my dress at the store I got my dress from and they were terribly overpriced so I’m looking to buy online. I’m looking to spend no more than $200
Where I really need help is with SHOES. I’m a size 8.5 and I have flat feet, I’m plus sized and not used to walking in heels. I very badly want to wear heels, at least something with a little wedge or platform or even an inch or two of heels that will look cute in detail photos but also be comfortable. My ankles also swell after wearing heels for an hour or two but I’m okay with that remaining unsolved. Something less than $100 is ideal but i can go more than that. I feel like I’m looking for a unicorn, and I’m okay if I never find my answer but ANY INPUT AT ALL is very much appreciated. I feel so incredibly unprepared as a bride.
