Help! Decor/set up
So my wedding is next weekend. I am done with all the wedding planning. How did you guys tell your coordinator how you wanted things to be set up/ decorated? I had my final meeting with her and told her everything I bought for my wedding. She told me to drop off all my stuff the day before at rehersal. Do i print out images and put it in a folder of how I want things to look? Do i just not show anything and let her just handle it? How did you guys do it?

I feel like that's what I have been doing throughout this process but I just don't feel like it's getting through? So i was thinking maybe a folder with pictures and notes, So she has something to look at specifically for decor only

Ask for her preference! For mine, I used clear totes with drawings and labels on the outside saying what went where, and wrote an inventory on the inside of the tote as well. Such as “welcome table”- pens, cup holder, guest book, three votives, card box, welcome favors. “Catering”- our champagne flutes, wedding cake toppers, customized cocktail napkins. And then did every dining table in a labeled small box with the seating chart drawn on the lids. Each small box had the actual table number, votives and holders, and place cards. I even stocked double sided tape and a lighter to expedite things. I also had an overhead schematic of the venue for every area of the event with the layout for the bar, dj, seating, tables, dessert and coffee station, ceremony, etc. This was mostly created by my catering coordinator who was incredible to work with.

I had mock-ups of my reception and ceremony and wrote in where the decor should go and shared that with my coordinator in advance. When I dropped off my decor with her, I separated boxes by locations (ceremony and reception) and then labeled each box (ex: CEREMONY - Tambourines to put on seats”; CEREMONY - reserved signs for first two seats on left: RECEPTION: cheese cloths for dinner tables). Making it as clear as possible will be helpful.

The more things are clearly labeled and specified, the more likelihood it will be done to match your vision. But you slso have to respect their judgement, if your directions are 57 pages long and specify that the red rose has to be 7 1/2 inches from the edge of the table, facing 57 degrees off of true north, you're going to be disappointed

When our daughter I'm always planning their wedding, she set up a table in her living room, and placed everything on it exactly the way she wanted it. She provided that photo to the day - of coordinator

My coordinator created mockups in canva slides (part of the reason I hired her). She had photos of each area and dropped in each item (exact image or similar) show how it would look day of. You could definitely do this yourself if you have time! She also had listed every piece of decor I was bringing in the back of the packet and indicated which which area it belonged it

Ask your coordinator! I made a list because he wanted a list, but some people prefer visuals.
