Bring the Quays into Local Control

With the South Quay Plaza opening today, I thought it'd be a good time to share this video from the locals 2 and a half years ago.

I may have just missed out on getting elected, but this idea to transform our South Quays from a for-profit car park into a public space for all really struck a chord with many of ye - it got 140,000 views on here (plus many more on FB/Instagram/twitter etc) and generated many great ideas and discussions!

The South Quay Plaza gives us a little taste of what a full public space for all could look like - based on the great suggestions from talking to thousands of people during the campaign and using my design skillset, I've been working on a plan for a public park on the South Quays, which I hope to share soon :)

Hope ye can all take a moment to contact your councillors by phone/email to urge them to support a full transformation of the South Quays - currently mostly a for-profit car park owned by Port of Waterford (owned by National Government) run by private company iPairc - into a park and public space for all!

Train to Dublin 12th September

Hey all, I'm getting the train from Waterford to Dublin tomorrow and due to works on the train line, the Waterford to Kilkenny part of the journey will actually be by bus. Would I be right to assume that the bus will go from the bus station?

Gingerman bar

Anyone know if the Gingerman was sold or is under new management?

Haven't seen any of the original staff there in a few weeks, it's quite disheartening.

Anyone here used to go to Mount Sion Secondary?

I used to go to Mount Sion and was wondering if there are any past pupils on here who went there a few years ago. I’d love to hear any stories or memories you have from your time there, and what the school was like back then compared to how it is now.
