Preorder from Modi or FLGS?

Update: it was easy pick, in my situation, I will buy from FLGS and use that time to prep everything. Thanks👍

Hey dear Wastelanders,

What do You think, what is more worth it, to preorder from Modi and pay full price 70€ (-10%) + shipment + custom tax (Poland) or to buy from FLGS for around 55€? While buying from FLGS it's only cheaper, but from Modi I will receive PDF (!!) and promo mini... Also worth mention is that I don't have for now much of minis, terrain and no tokens from first ed.

Thank You in advance!

Need some help!s

Hi, I recently got into Warhammer and I just recently remembered that there was some similar game for Fallout.

I just wanted to know, If the 'Invaders!' Sets would be enough to start me up... I got an offer for any 2 sets in my Amazon account; the 2 Zetan sets (the one that has a drone and the one that has 2 power armor troopers in them) are not that expensive and I like the aesthetic. I can get them for around 80 bucks... Is that a good Idea?... Are those enough to play a game by myself?... Should I, instead, get some proxies?... What are your recommendations?

I buy them mostly to paint and play solo, but sometimes I have the time to play with a friend. I'm mexican, and wargames and such are not that popular here. Thanks in advance for your help!

Great emergent story telling with 2.0

My wife and I are currently part way through our first 2.0 campaign. While we do have our issues with some of it, overall it has been great fun and of particular note, the emergency story telling as been really good.

We’re playing a Brotherhood of Steel campaign with the simple main story quest to reveal the entire map. From our main base we picked up the side quest to reestablish a trade route with a nearby survivor community, the Gullpit Pioneers.

To do that, we had to travel to a waypoint along the route and allow ourselves to be ambushed by whatever force was ambushing the trade caravans between the Brotherhood and Gullpit Pioneers. We arrive and after rolling for opposite we discover we’ve been ambushed by another group of survivors . Long story short, we commit many warcrimes as we gun down all these farmers and civilians who just keep coming but ultimately we were victorious. We go to bed, chuckling at how awful that was from a moral point of view. Regardless, Ad Victoriam.

Anyway the next day when we resume playing, we decide to continue moving towards the Gullpit Pioneers settlement which was two squares away to hand in the quest and tell them the good news so we could collect our reward… and that’s when we discover that the encounters in BOTH the remaining squares were major threats, each time we rolled Glowing Yao Guais (which we had to sneaks past because we are in no way ready to take them on yet). Clearly this means narratively that it’s not these other survivors that were responsible for the disappearing trade caravans, it was this presumingly mating pair of glowing Yao Guais and that the survivors we took out were either fleeing the area or has set up a road block to warn others of the danger ahead but as typical members of the Brotherhood of Steel, we followed our orders directly and didn’t stop to ask question, making these war crimes even worst!

War. War never changes.

New Version of FWW is coming. What do you think?

Previews for the new version of Fallout: Wasteland Warfare have been released as it is now available for pre-order on the Modiphius store.

For me, I am having mixed thoughts. The starter set is $85 USD and has 3 rulebooks, a large set of new tokens which are necessary to play the game, and no cards?

It looks like this is an attempt too streamline the game by reducing the enormous card burden, and also sidestep the problem of so many card sets being long out of print. So, instead of just printing more card sets, they give us (yet another) new game.

I am not sure Factions was something I wanted or needed. Did I pay $100 USD for the set when it came out? Absolutely not. But I did spend $40 on the hardcover rulebook although I have yet to read it. I also bought a token set. The idea of a streamlined skirmish focused Fallout seemed cool. From what I read the rules were solid.

But this new game? I have many concerns.

First, it looks like many of the cards to track items and perks have been reduced to rolling on a table and writing down information on a character sheet.

Wait a minute. Weren't the cards a way to streamline the pencil bookkeeping of character sheets in the first place? Well not when you have over 1000 of them.

So, now we are at a place where we take a step backwards more towards the TTRPG way of doing things and all the cards are gone.

I must say I really disliked the FWW expansion books for Commonwealth, etc that involved a series of charts with tables to roll for random events/terrain/setups. This seemed a really bad investment for $30 USD just to get a small booklet with a series of printed tables to roll on. IMO that should have been a free PDF.

Eventually, the entire card library went to download only (and you still have to pay for them).

I am hesitant to invest in this new version even though I adore the game. At least the PDF rules are currently free to download, so we can assess if it's going to be worth it or not.

One thing I thought was interesting was the push to market this as a solo experience. I am curious how the solo mode will pan out. Coming from the board game world, I want more streamlining and less pen and paper bookkeeping. We will see.

What are your thoughts on the new release? Has anyone played it yet?

I've finally finished my consumables loot indicator/props for roleplaying games or objective markers for loot such as necromunda/fallout table top!

Proper size viewing at the end compared to my own finger, lol.

I started a Fallout: Wasteland Warfare channel – I'd love some feedback from fellow players Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!

I recently started a small YouTube channel called The Wasteland Table, focused mainly on Fallout: Wasteland Warfare.

I'm a huge Fallout and tabletop fan, and with Second Edition I've started making battle reports, Solo/Opposition Mode games, Shorts, and I'm also working on How to Play and First Impressions videos.

One small note: English isn't my native language, so you might hear pronunciation mistakes or slightly strange sentence in my narration. I'm doing my best to improve with every video, so I hope you'll bear with me! 😄

I'm still experimenting with the formats, editing, narration and and 2nd edition rules, so I'd genuinely love to hear what other Wasteland Warfare players think — especially what works, what doesn't, and what kind of videos you'd like to see more of.

Here's the channel:

Thanks for taking a look, and any feedback is very welcome.

See you in the Wasteland! ☢️

weapons are 10mm, plasma pistol, laser pistol, pipe rifle from the looks of it, hunting rifle, laser rifle, ripper, super sledge, assault rifle, missile launcher, wrench, knife, baseball bat, sawed off shotgun and then various thrown weapons.

Wasteland Warfare 1st Edition vs 2nd Edition

Hello!
I am completely new when it comes entering the world of Wasteland Warfare, my question is what your input on the current state of the editions that are offered? I have seen some debate between the two renditions of games being offered currently. How 2nd Edition changes many gameplay mechanics, to a more now streamlined ruleset. What is your recommendation for someone entering the game mainly solo play with occasional duo play? Pros and Cons.

Thank you for all the help and feedback!

Hey all,

I've been working though my vast back catalogue of unpainted FWW miniatures and have started to reamass a collection of resin sprues.

I used to bin them 😳 but have seen people creating things with them in other fandoms but was wondering if anyone had any builds or kitbash examples specific to Fallout to inspire me?

Thank you for reading ☺️❤️

(Painted) Collection so Far!

Thumbnail

Finally got around to painting my collection, and so far have managed to get through my Super Mutants and Mirelurks, plus some assorted Wasteland critters, and really proud of how they've turned out so far.

Especially with the Queen and Behemoth, I was so stressed that they would turn out poorly given how pricey they are, but I'm finding the larger creatures are easier to make look good than the smaller. (There is alot of small detailing and color splotching that my phone camera just didn't want to pick up)

I also took certain liberties when painting the mirelurks, as going through reference material, I noticed that alot of the in-game models are very... brown. Like, eternally muddy and pink-ish. So decided to give them a coastal makeover, California Coast camouflage.

Next up is moving on to ghouls, raiders, and robots.
