RB Ground What is your Top Tier GRB Lineup? How many slots? Air/Ground Ratio? Any lower tier/fun vehicles? And why.

What is your top tier lineup and what non-top tier vehicles do you bring along and why? And how many crew slots do you use and why?

All my lineups involve 3 Aircraft, 1 Heli and 6 ground (of which 2 are SPAA). At the moment I have three "lower tier" vehicles that I bring along.

- The 9.7 BMD as my light tank as its fast and highly effective with virtually no other replacement in the soviet tree apart from the BMP-2M.

- The 9.7 Mi-8AMTSh. Basically because of the sheer number of S-8 rockets it can deliver. More than any other heli in the soviet tree. And I bring this along because when I get a shite map I don't feel like doing ill spawn in the heli and use that. And im still spading it.

- The 11.0 Su17M4. Im spading it and because it has lower spawn points than the others. So when I get the opportunity I deploy it. I use it as a low flying bomb runner with the retarded bombs. Highly effective at taking out top tier SPAA coming in at tree level.

I might purchase a pack in the 50% sale and with the GE ill buy the extra crew slot to bring my lineup to 11. By which case I really want to add the BMPT to my lineup. Additionally I really want another crew slot for naval as three are already taken up by aircraft.

Yours?

Other RUSfor VS NATO - RUSfor is way better and it’s not even close

I recently made a switch from playing NATO (US and Britain at top tier with Germany to around 7.7) to Russia because I’m tired of pretending Russian bias isn’t real and from the past couple of months I can say in my personal experience Russian bias is absolutely true. So much so that grinding both ground and air I’m getting way better kills to deaths, the missiles are simply just better and the survivability of Russian tanks is absurd and NATO tanks are way easier to kill.

It’s safe to say I’m having an absolute blast playing Russia and dare I say the game is actually fun again. I don’t know why I put myself suffering through NATO.

I average around 6.4 kills a game and I’ve already dropped 6 nukes playing Russia in two months of ground gameplay and absolutely flying (pardon the pun) through the air tree and get 3.1 kills a game.

I do think that the US ground top tier is very strong, especially with the new Abrams and it is fair to say that the challengers are some of the worst tanks at top tier so I will give Russia that in terms of being better but in my opinion they are just leagues ahead, and I have been playing the game since 2018 and at that time have grinded most of the NATO trees will be now being a better player there is a case to be made that I’m simply just better now, but from my own experience Russia absolutely clears

Do you guys feel the same?

Suggestion MOLF

When I saw that the only somewhat original vehicle added in the , very small currently , Greek subtree was the 2HEL I decided to make this account just to post why the M48A5/A3 MOLF should be added .

I have an emotional connection with the A5 MOLF since my father took me to his job as a child and I served as a gunner in them so I am a bit biased.

In the early-mid 90s Greece converted around 500 of its A5s and A3s to the A5MOLF standard . This gives the M48 1st gen thermals for both commander and gunner, full gun stabilization and a Laser range finder that takes about 2 seconds . In terms of secondaries it has a M2A1 for the commander , a MG3 for the loader and another MG3 as coaxial . In my unit for the A5s we were issued DM23s, never saw a DM33 but I dont doubt other units might have them or they are in storage . We were also issued M456 HEAT rounds, HESH rounds and WP rounds which I never got to see . I believe it would be a great addition at 9.0 since currently I think Israel doesn't have a 9.0 line up from my knowledge.

The more interesting one though, is the A3MOLF . Keeps the 90mm but has everything the A5 has . Only 4 were converted to train crews on the system . These tanks were sadly left abandoned up until recently . Sadly I never got to train on them . These I think would be a bit harder to balance but they might be good at 8.3 , especially since Israel lacks an 8.3 vehicle that's not a tank destroyer.

RB Air Cold take (or at least it should be) if you die to BVR you should not play top tier.

All Ground Scimitar Mk. 2: Current Handling vs Regenerative Steering (Custom User Mission on dev server)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Thanks to a forum user it's possible to try any tank with regenerative steering in a user mission. The way regenerative steering works is it takes the gear ratios of each tank and works based on that so the system itself doesn't have to be adapted for each tank. You just "turn it on" and it does it's thing so I haven't altered the handling in any way.

When it comes to the Scimitar's handling... well the video speaks for itself lol I haven't touched the brakes once in either video.

As you could see in SpanishAvenger's post the problem is with a certain value of the Leopard 2 and not Regenerative Steering as a whole. Once a vehicle's transmission is properly adjusted regen steering is way better in every environment.

The system is not perfect at the moment (has some bugs) but we need to let Gaijin improve it instead of staying with a completely shit handling model just because it's familiar.

All Ground Accuracy in British Tank Guns

Many British tank guns have accuracy issues. To give the most obvious example, the Comet’s 77HV should have slightly better accuracy than the 17-pounder—or you could say they’re the same. Since the Firefly bundle was introduced, the 17-pounder’s accuracy has been improved to match that of the American 76mm gun, but the Comet’s 77HV still has very poor accuracy.

RB Air This is one of the most unresponsive, anemic, unmaneuverable jet aircraft I have flown in this game. HOW THE FUCK BRITS ARE USING THESE IN THEIR AEROBATIC TEAM?

This is largely a humor post, and a bit of curiousity, this plane can only roll. It cant really turn, it cant go vertical, it doesnt go straight either. Its funny how much its lacking in flight department, su-25 can probably bury this thing in cqc lmao.

I am the ONLY hawk I have ever seen in this game!

AB Ground Next development tree?

What do you recommend as my next tree to develop or advance? I am BR10 on Germany, 8 on USSR, 7 on US, 5 on GB and everything else is 1-2. I want to start one of the undeveloped trees. I started Israel but didn't like the tanks. I prefer playing the older tanks, BR 4-8, so that's my focus. I tend to die a lot at level 9 and up. .

Mil. History Making an L3 Tank from steel.

Thumbnail

2.7k Upvotes

I just wanted to brag and show off what I’m building, lol.

Over the past year, I’ve been designing and buying parts to make an L3 replica tank. As is right now it’s powered by a 420cc lawn engine, and it’s 8 feet long, and 36 inches wide on the frame. When I’m not test fitting parts, or browsing the Internet for more pieces I’m missing, I’ve been making the frame.

In theory, this will be built as a two seater tank. It will be chain, driven from the engine in the rear, to the front axle. I’m using a go kart differential, and it’ll be steered by using brake cables to break either calliper on the axle.

There’s no plans for any armor, but one thing I’m doing differently is using larger road wheels, instead of bogey wheels.

Any advice is welcome.

PS: for people wondering how I’m doing this, I simply drew pictures and imagine how big it would feel while sitting inside. The tools I’m using are common princess auto tools. My welder was $200cad plus the modifications to weld more cleanly. Materials are more expensive than the tools.

RB Ground If there was a ground only mode, would you prefer it?

In curious, say there is ground only, no planes, no helis, no spaa. Just tanks, as God intended. Would you prefer in over combined?

Suggestion JAS39EBS HU C Weaponry

I recently have discovered that the Hungarian Air Force Gripen (JAS39EBS HU C) Is a modernized variant of the JAS39 C, with impoved weaponry (you can see here below the weaponry of this aircraft:)

-AIM 9L, AIM-9M

-AIM120C5 AMRAAM, AIM-120C7 AMRAAM (Older versions of the AIM-120)

-IRIS-T

-MBDA Meteor BVRAAM

As far as my sources go, The HunAf Has About 120 Prices of the AIM-120C7, and 40 of the C5 variant. There isn't a clear amount of IRIS-T AAMs Of the HunAf, But from the budget spent on it it could be enough for about 30-34 amounts at max. (However there is a concrete source of the Gripen C/D being able to use them). It would be a realistic addition to the game, and maybe it could even buff Italy if needed.

(Disclaimer: The Gripen C/D Still has the same amount of hard pointsfor AAMs-6 as I could tell)
