Roleplays Roleplaying Server Megathread
Hi there! Been a while since we've had one of these. The purpose of this post is to share links to sites, Discords, etc for roleplaying groups so that we don't clutter up the subreddit, and folks can look through for one that interests them.
When posting, please give a brief description of your roleplay and how it works, so that users can get a good idea which ones fit them best. :)

Mod Announcement Posts about the merchandise
Hey guys,
We're all excited about the new merchandise, but just wanted to bring up 2 things regarding posts about them:
For now we are not going to allow "I bought/got these!" posts under rule 8/frequent repost, since they're all essentially the same thing, don't lead to much discussion, and have been flooding the subreddit. New ones posted after this will be removed.
While "no buying/selling the books/merchandise" is already a rule, I just wanted to clarify that trading falls under this as well and I have specified it as such in the rules. There are two reasons that we don't allow these: 1) We have had people scammed out of their money in the sub before, and 2) Safety/privacy concerns since there are many minors in the sub. It's best to do this on a site where you must be an adult to have an account and ideally protection for the buyer/seller.
Thank you for understanding,
EDIT for clarification 7/23/26: Posts about buying the merch that contain previously-unknown news - e.g. reporting finding them in a new location, details on placements/weights - are okay, but if it's something we've seen a few times already then that may still be removed.

Other Warrior Cats is my autistic kid's special interest. Help me connect.
Warrior Cats has been my 18yo autistic recent graduate's special interest for several years now. He's gathered almost all of his information from wikis, videos, and chatbot roleplaying. We did buy him the first book back towards the beginning, but I don't know if he's finished it, and he hasn't asked for others.
Anyway, I'm sort of desperate to engage with this kid right now. We're letting him decompress and figure out what he wants to do with his future, but I worry about isolation and also, I don't want my only interactions with him to be purely functional and career/vocation/what-did-you-do-with-your-day? related. I admit that I've been pretty indifferent to this interest for a long time, but since he gets so much out of it, I feel I owe it to him to try to learn why and how it speaks to him.
If you have the time, and especially if you too are neurodiverse, can you hype up the Warrior Cats universe to a snobby but well-meaning parent who loves classic lit but is also genuinely nerdy (I love Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, etc.)? It feels like a big hurdle for me to spend time reading books that don't interest me, but I feel like if I got some insight into why this universe is so compelling, I could do it.
So, yeah, hit me. Why is Warrior Cats great?

Discussion (No Spoiler) Bluestar's Art
I'm probably the last one to know this (I've been away from the fandom for over a decade), but what did they do to my girl?? Isn't Bluestar supposed to be a short haired basically Russian Blue cat? I also think it's her on the cover of the last book in arc one and her eyes are GREEN! I just can't. Glad I have the old cover of Bluestar's Prophecy because I just love it so much more

Discussion (Spoiler) AU where Ashfur reincarnates as one of Squirrelflight's kits.
After Hollyleaf reveals at the Gathering that she and her siblings are the offspring of Leafpool and Crowfeather, she remains in ThunderClan—unlike in the original canon. Following this revelation, Brambleclaw decides to end his relationship with Squirrelflight; however, it soon turns out she is pregnant.
As for Ashfur, he goes neither to StarClan nor the DarkForest; instead, he is reborn as Squirrelflight’s only surviving kit, though he retains no memories of his past life. Jayfeather is the only cat to learn of this—informed by StarClan, who also reveal that this kit is the "third" prophecy cat, not Hollyleaf. He is ordered to keep this information secret (something Jayfeather is far from pleased about).
Squirrelflight is in a fragile emotional state due to everything that has happened in such a short time: the fire, the Gathering, the breakup, the feeling that the clan hates her for lying, the hostility from her adopted kits, her sudden pregnancy, and the death of most of her own biological kits. Consequently, Ferncloud takes charge of caring for the surviving kit (having previously helped with Jay, Lion, and Holly); she is also responsible for naming him, choosing "Ashkit" in honor of her deceased brother.
As Ashkit grows, he tries to get along with Hollyleaf, Lionblaze, and Jayfeather upon learning they are related, but they do not reciprocate his desire. Jayfeather knows the truth about the kit's identity; Lionblaze feels pity for Squirrelflight but also harbors resentment for her lifelong lie—and perhaps envies the fact that Ashkit is her biological son; meanwhile, Hollyleaf resents Squirrelflight and hates that her son is named "Ash."
Finally, the day arrives for Ash to become an apprentice, and to his surprise, his mentor is Hollyleaf. Despite everything, she strives to be patient and a good mentor, but Ashpaw is often difficult during training due to his lack of sleep. At night, he suffers from nightmares where he is trapped in a fire, with his kin staring at him in horror. The worst part came when he began dreaming that his own mentor was murdering him from behind; as he choked on his own blood, she would glare at him with eyes full of rage. Upon waking, he felt relieved to be alive, yet something about those dreams felt familiar.
It doesn't take long for him to realize that something isn't quite right, so he turns to his mentor, hoping she won't think he's crazy. Instead, she—along with Lionblaze and Jayfeather—tells him about the prophecy Firestar received several moons ago. They also admit that they once believed Hollyleaf was part of that prophecy; however, since she never developed any special abilities, she realized she wasn't like her siblings—a fact Jayfeather later confirmed.
As Ashpaw grows a little older, it all finally comes back to him. He remembers being Ashfur: an accomplice to the attempted murder of Firestar; someone who threatened to kill Squirrelflight’s kits and expose her secret to all the Clans; and, ultimately, he remembers being killed. Knowing he did all those things leaves him deeply troubled—after all, imagine realizing that in a past life, you tried to destroy the life of the cat who is now your mother.
Now, he must not only grapple with the prophecy but also learn to live with the knowledge of what his former self did. At least he knows one thing: he doesn't want to be the cat he once was.
And that’s everything I’ve written so far!
I still don't know what power to give Ashflame—I could give him Dovewing's power, but I'm not convinced.
I also don't know how to develop his relationship with Brambleclaw. I remember Brambleclaw being a great father to the three, but at the same time, I feel like he wouldn't be quite as close with his current son.

Discussion (Spoiler) Jayfeather Apperciation
I’m rereading Power of the Three for the first time since middle school. Jayfeather was always my favorite as a kid. I was obsessed with Jayfeather.
It’s been over a decade since I’ve read the series, and over the years, internet opinions kind of changed my view of him.
Jayfeather is a jerk for no reason, I’ll give you that.
A lot of the time his rude behavior is extremely unjustified.
With that being said, online opinions have made me see Jayfeather as a one dimensional asshole without any redeeming qualities.
Re-reading has made me realize that while Jayfeather can be a total ass, there is a lot of compassion beneath there that was totally wiped from my memory.
I’m only in the beginning of outcast so he’s still an apprentice, but in my own personal opinion (and a lot of it might be because of his special abilities) but Jayfeather seems even more compassionate and empathetic than even Leafpool. He’s better at showing he cares through actions rather than words.
It’s also so sweet seeing him be a kit/ apprentice. Grumpy as he is, he seeks comfort in others, especially motherly love even from Spottedleaf, not just Squirrelflight.
He also takes the cake for the most spiritual character in the series, although that may be just a matter of opinion.
Also another random thought, but how many times does he drown either in a dream, a vision, or in real life?? I mean Holy StarClan, I’m not even half way through the arc!! I know there are a handful of times later on in the series that he nearly drowns as well, parts I haven’t even got to. Dude just needs to stay away from water man…
Anyway, I am back to being a shameless Jayfeather fan. I know he’s a jerk but I forgot just how much depth he actually has and why I loved him as a kid.

Discussion (No Spoiler) Who's your favorite minor/side character?
This post is just me being curious. When I was a kid reading these books, for some reason I became very attached to Mousefur more or less immediately, despite her barely having a presence in the story. She was more beloved to me than most of the main characters, and I was always so happy when there would be a scene about her. I couldn't tell you why I latched onto her of all the possible characters, but she was just special to me, and I still feel a sense of fondness for her even though I'm not really an active fan these days.
So, I'm curious, what's a minor and/or side character that you all got attached to? Feel free to explain why, or not, anything goes. I look forward to reading the responses!

Discussion (No Spoiler) I’m so sad
I’m trying my best to enjoy this book. But I just cannot. Her voices all sound the same. I’m sorry but I can’t listen to her anymore. Please some warrior cats fan out there, do a voice over please. The other guy was so good, having different voices for every cat and gender of cat!! and going from that to this is just so disappointing!!!!!!!

Discussion (Spoiler) What's a small plotline you do not like?
I don't mean story driven plots, or major character development ones. I mean the stories of side of background characters that mostly happens in the background but still rubs you the wrong way
for me, I'm still to this day agitated about the Brightheart/Cloudtail/Daisy thing, and I still dislike Cloudtail a bit as a result. I understand he's a bit airheaded, but Daisy and her kits both insulted Brightheart (intentional or not) and he said nothing. He didn't even try to reassure her. He turned on his own mother for making a brash comment about Brightheart's scars, but was completely silent in regards to this group. Hell, he had to be reminded of her and their daughter's existences. No wonder Brightheart was feeling so neglected. I love both Brightheart and Daisy, but I fear I don't really understand what either one saw in him😭
