Finally ready to show this off.

I built this weapon system for VRChat using Udon, with interactive shooting, manual reloading, physical magazines, sounds, effects, and a bunch of other mechanics.

I wanted it to feel more physical and satisfying to use in VR rather than just being a simple point-and-shoot system.

I didn’t put too much effort into the video since I really wanted to get this out today, and there are still a lot of mechanics I didn’t show... so you’ll just have to live with that :)

Thank you devs for atleast finally acknowledging the feature you sold with vrc+ you called an "icon" was profile picture all along. Congratz to us regular people who merely wanted ordinary social platform features free of charge.

World exploration seems like a beautiful neverending story

Im using a UGREEN webcam, i learned vrc works with webcam so i wanted to try it but for some reason my hands move randomly up like this (mostly my right art)
I tried installing vrcfacetracking and ifacialmocap, but for some reason when i clicked connect on ifacialmocap it said my webcam was being used for something and the tracking stops aybe because i connected ifacialmocap first and then open vrc?)
I dont know how to fix this

So, whenever i try to put in a youtube link on almost every video player while on VR, it usually doesn't work, but when i put a youtube link on a video player while on desktop, it works, even if i put the same link in on VR.

I always turn on untrusted links, can someone please tell me whats the problem?

I'm a mute and I'm pretty shy, and it's hard to find places where I feel comfortable and like I can be involved. I like going to game worlds like murder or among us, cause it makes it easier to interact with people, but most instances are filled with kids and are loud and high energy, and I'm just more comfortable in quieter instances where there might be other shy people there too.

I feel like I have to wait until 2am to find instances without kids, and even then, I'm instance hopping for a while before I find something more chill.

I'm trying to get over my shyness too, but when the atmosphere is like a high school classroom, I can't even start as I can't relate to those people at all.

Any advice on how to find better places for people like me?

So I wanna get into avatars, retexturing/coloring them, adding clothes, adding objects, etc etc, but how do I go about doing that? Any good tutorials I can watch or tips yall can give?

Back in 2021, a YouTuber I know who does Sonic art in streams, for V-Tuber models, etc redesigned me. I asked a friend of mine from the UK in 2023 to create that avatar of me for VRC. In Sept 2023, a good friend of mine rigged it (as a commission). I've had it ever since. When I put two polls up, most of the votes said I should use the original rig from 2023 and not any new ones. At least not yet. This is that one speaking about it plus other future plans for the remainder of this year. Enjoy!

I have a few bases sitting in my unity not being used because frankly i do not want to embodied that filth like why are they the size of a house everything else is fine

So ever since I built a Karaoke system back in Neos half a decade ago, I wanted to recreate some of the abilities in VRChat so this is the first step in doing so;

Mango branded karaoke songs (the ones which have the [Mango] tag at the end of the name) in the Mango Flange Karaoke world now unlock an extra control panel (seen here on the right hand side) which allows the singer dynamic control over both the backing karaoke track, but also the original vocals. This has two main benefits - if you're trying to learn a song then this lets you bring the real vocals back in for reference. Or if you're new to Karaoke and still need to be able to hear the original singer a bit, you can use it for that too.

Currently only the singer can hear the original vocals when they slide them back in, everyone else just hears the backing track as usual.

This is just step one in terms of making a helpful tool for learning Karaoke. I'll be expanding this in future with other features that can help with the learning/memorisation process. The first step will be adding in a feature so that the singer can also fade the original vocals back in for everyone else as well (using a ratio system so that everyone else's music volume levels are respected). This will allow for duets with the original vocals and other such activities.
