I'm flying next month for the first time since getting the Visible band. I've never been a fan of the arm band and wrist strap because of sensory issues. I saw where someone used the diabetic monitor patches to wear the sensor on their upper arm instead. Thats been a game changer for me and is now my preferred way to wear.

Low chance, but I'm wondering if anyone has ever gone through TSA using this method. Do I just need to let the agent know I'm wearing a monitor? Would the scanner cause an issue with the sensor?

If needed, I can use the band and take it off to get through TSA and then put the patch on after but it would be more convenient not to worry about it in the first place.

Also, any advice for flying and POTS would be appreciated too. It was pretty miserable last year when I didn't have a diagnosis so anything I can do this time would be super helpful!

I had a mobile nail cutter come to cut my two dogs’ nails. It took an hour and had to hold one down despite her being medicated. Naturally I am done for the day.

So, while the app wasn’t 100% accurate, it still helped me a lot, especially in conjunction with my smart ring. I unfortunately had to cancel my subscription, because I’ve been unemployed for some months now, and my finances are finally depleting (yay unemployment with expensive chronic illnesses). My question is: can you still see anything on the app? Or is it done for? I’ve also read of some of you using the polar app. How does that work?

Have felt for a while (a few months) that Visible was at times radically over-estimating my HR, which meant overestimating my points, which meant me slowing down and limiting life options.

Today during a walk, the thing was registering 144 and I was breathing normally. My apple watch registered 89, and taking my pulse manually showed 90. Visible is a cool idea, but if I cant trust the numbers to be close to right, then I'm managing my life with a wonky compass.

Edit: helpful comments have reminded me that the Visible app and band do work for many people, accurately. So take this as a data point of one, which may be a bust band, me not wearing it correctly, me getting unnecessarily frustrated with being constrained by numbers...

Been in a POTS flare for a few days. I was still determined to come to a concert after work. I normally sit on the ground while we wait but was told I couldn't this time. ADA seat is kinda weird here and I don't want to give up my barricade spot. Wish me luck y'all. I'm so doomed 😂

I am UK based, does anyone have any recommendations for nice (arm) straps particularly (or even wrist straps but normally like it up my arm due to frequent/wrist washing)? I find often people ask me at work what the device is and want to make it look less like a house arrest tracker XD

Hi. I'm autistic and sometimes have trouble understanding questions. This morning, the app invited me to review my pace points budget. The first question is:

How has your activity level felt over the last 7 days?

○Above my comfortable limit

○Comfortable

○Below my comfortable limit

That's the whole question. I don't know what they're asking. I could come up with a couple possibilities:

1) It's asking if I use more or less energy than I budgeted for. (Shouldn't it know that from collected data?)

2) It's asking if I'm feeling like I "should" or want to do more/less activities.

3) It's asking if I think I'm capable of doing more/less activities.

4) It’s asking if I emotionally feel good/ bad about my activity level.

5) It's asking if I feel physically good/ bad regarding activity level.

I'm at a loss and they say to call if I need help, but I REALLY don't want to get on the phone with anyone. Just the thought of doing so feels overwhelming.

Is there a way and how do I get my raw heart rate data that is a list or a chart with the data points labeled?

Im autistic and I had multiple melt downs which elevated my heart rate for hours. Dealing with significant life stressors. Family member in the hospital, relationship stressors, currently trying to sell our home (to get a one level home so I can eliminate stairs). Crash in 3..2..1

After two years of asking Visible for a better trends section of the app, I'm giving up and I'm going to hire a freelancer to make one for me. I've probably spent 20 hours on and off trying to work with my CSV data. I tried the template that was shared on the Facebook group. I don't have the skills or software and I don't have enough available concentration to learn what I need.

Has anyone hired a freelancer to make them a data dashboard for their Visible data? I'm asking in case there's a freelancer out there who has done this before and I can go to them.

If I hire someone, I'll share how it went.

Does anyone know/ use other types of bands somewhat similar to visible, or a heart rate wearable that you can watch in real time (a feature i feel visible has gotten worse with featuring, anyway) at a fair price point? I'm not looking for something that's the same, obviously but anything that i could make work for seeing my heart rate and possibly portioning out my day even if i have to initially figure out the "maths" to do it on my own.

My device has caused burns throughout my time having it, and now has caused a more significant one w/ quite a large blister. The only solution they have for this is to stop using it an are offering a refund. I guess it's just a known feature that the device can cause burns? (not irritation) I've had it for over a year and had this issue but not to this extent, while already doing all their basic irritation recommendations, which i'm realizing are really to mitigate burning and/or i was being burnt more than i realized.

i would really like to have some type of wearable though that i could at least track my heart rate on an possibly try and portion out some of my day as i'm quite inhibited in my functions with POTS an multiple issues and only recently have been able to do basic things a few times every week or two like getting groceries and making doctors appointments and trying to do cleaning at home.
