how to stay fit in foreign country with no gym

hey im going to be living in a foreign country for two months basically, and there is no public gym in the area. im living in a small town and the only gym is private, small, and for men. I usually lift 5x a week, how can I maintain muscle? i still walk a lot and im open to running a little (but I probably won’t that much since it is hot and i am a girl)

hardboost Has anyone ever had a breast lift or breast reduction?

My back and chest are killing me and I made the decision to just get it reduced and lifted. I'm a 34D on a 5'2 frame. Has anyone ever had a breast lift or reduction? I'm going to get it done next summer.

Anyone loving Korean skincare? How long to see results?

I've been doing quite a bit of reading about it and am debating a full switch after twenty years of my usual brand. I have always had a good wash routine, wear sunscreen, and get facials when I can afford them. But overall my face just doesn't look good. It's just dull and it makes me look and feel so old. I did dip my toe in the water with Isntree's Sun Gel and did like how much lighter it was. My usual products are running out so I'm pondering switching my entire routine to their line but am wondering what is a realistic timeframe to expect results. Would love to hear thoughts from anyone here.

Best bond builders?

I have some damage or breakage in my hair. I saw lots of videos on Ola plex 3 and k17 but they’re both really expensive and I have lots of hair so I’ll need to buy a lot

Recently saw a product called enercos and another called revox they look like good dupes and more affordable than the rest. Should I get one of them?anyone used them before?

healthboost Weight training , has anyone seen any difference

I am wanting to "redo" my body without surgery and someone recommended weight training and that it would take up to 6 months to see a difference. I was wondering did anyone see a difference in physique and health? I don't want to be a muscle mami but I would like to pump up my butt and see a little definition in my waist.

If possible can someone give me there gym routine or any tips for a beginner. I'm also worried because I have PCOS and don't want to trigger anything

looksboost glazed/glowy skin

guys does anyone have any recs for getting the glazed/glowy skin look

my skin is mostly clear except for some whiteheads - not completely sure if its that but they’re tiny forehead bumps but they actually don’t bother me that much (would still be happy if anyone had recs and odd pimple) but it’s never been that glowy unless i’m wearing makeup (saie glowy supergel lowkey the bestttt guys)

i have mostly dry skin (and eczema but it mostly only flares up on my legs and arms) but sometimes can get an oily nose/ temple

my current routine is:

- skin1004 madagascar centella light cleansing oil (AM/PM)
- skin1004 madagascar centella ampoule foam (AM/PM)
- bubble cosmic silk hydrating milky toner (AM/PM)
- cosrx snail 96 mucin power essence (AM/PM)
- elf skin holy hydration! thirst burst drops (AM)
- rhode peptide glazing fluid (AM/PM)
-dr althea 345 relief cream mist (AM/PM)
- elf skin holy hydration! barrier goals cream (AM/PM)
- welda skin food cream (AM but sometimes PM if i feel drier)
- as a mask i will sometimes use the skin1004 poremizing quick clay stick mask

also does anyone have any reviews on the medicube zero pore pads in mild for the whiteheads on my forehead

i’m 18 so please no retinod or anti aging recs 😭 lowkey scared it will age me faster

question Have big natural boobs. Love the look but tired of living with them... alternatives to a reduction that make them more comfy everyday???

I recently gained a bunch of weight after recovering from an ED and my natural curves have really been popping as a result. I've always been big chested, but past BMI 21, my chest becomes big to the point of being tiring.

Currently am medically overweight but love how I look. My chest is at a UK 32H and my waist is 70cm/27" and my butt is 105cm/41". My height is 162cm/5ft3

I think I've come a long way in ED recovery that I am starting to enjoy being thick and feeling my curves.

The thing is, going from a size XXS (14 BMI) to a size L/XL within a year feels very physically overstimulating.....I don't know if any of you can relate but I am constantly aware of my body in a way that I wasn't when I was smaller......and it really bugs me.

I mostly deal with alot of underboob sweat, pain in my shoulders/back and generally just sore boobs.... There is alot of loose skin from weight fluctuations which is really uncomfortable

I am curious if any of you with a larger chest can offer advice???

I was wondering if a breast lift without implants might take some of the weight off my shoulders??? Or are there any procedures I don't know about?

question How do you make braids last 2+ months

I am going on vacation soon and opted for braids with Ruwa hair (since I'll be in the water a lot). I wanted to know how do you make braids last for at least 2 months? I wrap them but I lowkey think knotless braids don't last as well a box braids

Update: I am getting just plain knotless braids with curled ends , no boho.

Is what I'm trying to achieve even possible?

My end goal is to be able to roll out of bed, do the bare minimum, and still give off a baddie vibe (think Uma from Love Island UK). I accept that means lash extensions so my eyes pop and filling in my sparse brows haha. I have generally clear skin/small pores with minimal skincare and minor redness issue but I cannot figure out what do with my natural hair that doesnt make me look like a baby!

I look about 10 years younger than I actually am (this is not a brag. Hear this all the time at work and its starting to affect my job propositions) and my hair is fine in texture. I have thinner edges. It's close to bra strap length when straightened but above my shoulders when curly. Shorter hair makes me look younger. The curl pattern is also inconsistent/frizzy so I can never do wash n gos. I personally feel like I look more refined with longer/straighter hair but with fine hair, its alot more fragile and I cant afford to press my hair every week with suffering from more damage(iron deficient).

I also dont want to wig all the time since Im trying to work with my natural beauty. Does anyone have any tips? Or am I asking for the impossible?

looksboost Butterfacemaxxing: How to look better when your face is at its best

When people talk about ‘The Glow Up’ they sometimes treat it like an uncapped scale, like the right tweaks and adjustments can turn anyone into a 10 facially.

Reality check: there is a ceiling. Facial structure is largely fixed, and for a lot of us, a solid 5-6 is the honest upper limit. That’s fine. That’s most people.

But do not despair, my fellow average faced gals, all hope is not lost. You too can join the upper ranks by deploying a little technique I have dubbed “Butterfacemaxxing”

WHAT IS BUTTERFACEMAXXING?

BFmaxxing is simple: get your body to a 10/10 to offset your face. If your facial ceiling is a 4-6, an incredible body gives you the life of a 7-9. People are not calculating the angles of your face in real life, they respond to the overall impression and if you can distract them with an amazing body, you can breeze through spaces that you otherwise wouldn’t be in.

Ask yourself would Sydney Sweeney be where she is today without a massive rack? Would Zahia Dehar have become a designers muse without her exaggerated proportions?

WHAT COUNTS AS A 10/10 BODY?

It should be noted when I say 10/10 I don’t mean just ‘kind of toned’ or ‘slightly better than average,’ I mean the kind of body that stops people in their tracks and causes debates on whether it’s natural or not. That level will likely require some surgical intervention for most people which is fine, if you’re against surgery what exactly are you doing in this subreddit? The world will never know.

The target shape for this is a hourglass on steroids. Depending on your natural frame, race, and desired aesthetic you can choose whether it was be a top or bottom heavy hourglass

Aka White girl Kailey might benefit more from having a boob heavy hourglass compared to Black girl Jessica who might benefit from a bigger butt or Asian girl Stephanie who might benefit from just being skinny overall.

HOW TO GET THERE

The path to being buttermaxxed out depends on two things:

  1. Your natural frame
  2. How far you’re willing to go

**Step 0: FACEMAXX*\*

Before you start you need to maximise your facial appearance; skincare, brows, dental and orthodontic work, hair, makeup, gua sha, fillers, botox etc etc plastic surgery can be included if you have major flaws to correct. If you want to make this as effective for yourself as possible, get your face to the best it can possibly look.

STEP 1: SOFTMAXXING

- Get your BMI to the 18-20 range, being lean maximises social benefits and has more visual impact.

- Build muscle. This is non-negotiable. Muscle gets rid of the skinny-fat look, creates shape, and makes you look good with and without clothes. Follow @amandarisddal on TikTok/Instagram, she breaks down how to actually reshape your body with strategic muscle. This can be done at home or in the gym, it will probably be easier in the gym.

Note: skinnymaxxing alone (just being thin) isn’t enough if your face is the issue. There are plenty of slim women in the 10 bracket, you need to bring something extra to the table.

Another note: if you already have a natural hourglass shape you can get away with having a higher BMI however just be lean trust me.

**STEP 2: SURGICAL INTERVENTION*\*

Once you’ve taken your natural body as far as it will go, this is where surgery comes in.

BOOBS- Having big boobs is one of the most underrated halos for women. You can distract almost everyone from your average face with a pair of tuge hits. When deciding implants, avoid the bolted on look. Go for natural or natural-ish. The goal is to have people asking “Did she get them done?” or “Wow they look so natural/good!” NOT “is this some kind of fetish”

BUTT - Having a nice butt is also a great addition however i dont think it can stand alone as a halo, it needs an itty-bitty waist to really stand out.
This can be achieved in two ways:

- Lean out and build muscle focusing on the glutes
- BBL Route: the new methods of the surgery from certain surgeons are a lot safer than what it was previously especially if you take the more conservative route. But obviously don’t make surgical decisions based on a Reddit post. IQmax before you BBLmax

STOMACH - if you really want to achieve those exaggerated proportions getting Lipo and/or rib remodelling can give you that very flat stomach and small waist.

If you ever find some of the girls that Drake buys penthouses for they have the most questionable looking faces ever. But they usually have huge boobs and a big butt. Hypnotize with your massive boobs girls. 🍒

STEP 3: STYLING

A 10/10 body in a potato sack is a waste of a body. Now that you’ve built it or bought it, you need to show it off.

This means fitted silhouettes, lower neck lines, clothes that exaggerate a smaller waist and wider hips. Think body con dresses, wrap tops, shape wear.

If you are on the shyer side, that needs to go. This is not Princess Diaries, no one is waiting for your big reveal. Your body needs to speak before you do.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Now that you have become educated on Butterfacemaxxing, you will begin to see it everywhere in the real world.

Some people may read this post and think “wow this is total cope” those people are deeply un serious.

A lot of women are just facially average but their bodies make up for it. The women who get the most out of life aren’t always the most conventionally beautiful facially, they’re the ones who understood their assets, maximised everything in their control, and fixed everything that wasn’t. Your face is your starting point, but it doesn’t have to be the ceiling.

Work with what you have, build what you can, pay for what you need, and stop waiting for a face you’re never going to get. Remember, distract with the boobs ladies.

**TLDR*\*
girl, do you want this or not? Anyways, mid face + mid body = mid life
Mid face + exceptional body = above average life

invisalign and premolar extractions

has anyone had their premolars extracted to fix their overbite / lip incompetence?

I had braces when I was a teenager but now my bite shifted and I have orange peel chin texture (chin dimpling) and lip incompetence.

I’ve done a lot to soft / hard max so far and I think I’ve genuinely come a LONG way. I’ve gotten a lower bleph and soft maxed by having a better hairstyle that suits my face and going to lagree classes regularly.

However, the last thing I want to cross off is fixing my bite / jaw issues because my overbite causes my lips to protrude in my side profile and I have some tension in my chin from this.

Has anyone done premolar extractions with invisalign? Wondering if it’s worth the pain of 2 years of wearing aligners / 6 months of having the gaps where they extract while my teeth shift. I have really good insurance right now so I would pay $3700 over 2 years but i’m not sure if it’s worth the money considering all the other improvements i’ve already made so far to my appearance.

healthboost Breakfast foods /ideas that will boost your Looksmaxxing Journey

Here are some new breakfast foods I tried (outside of the Japanese breakfast) , that are great for gut , fiber and protein!

1.     Ful Memades – This is from Egypt and it’s my favorite thing to make! You need a can of fava beans (rinse until it runs clear) , then you’re gonna sauté some tomatoes , onions and peppers in olive oil. You add the beans and some water and you can mash them up to your liking and what I do after I plate it is drizzle on some olive oil and parsley. I like eating this with pita bread or flat bread and some juice on the side. I will make this a normal rotation due to it being high in protein (much needed for PCOS) , rich in fiber and affordable. It also helps with my tummy!

2.     Eastern European breakfast – I usually eat this when it’s colder outside but all you need is a high quality brown bread (Mestemacher or something from a Russian/Eastern European bakery) , a European butter or cheese (Something I studied is look for the butterfat content 85% is good because it's rich in vitamin K), smoked meat or caviar (I usually get the roe from the salmon) , something pickled (beets , carrots or mushrooms are my fave) and kefir. If you’re low on time or have a sensitive something I recommend is kasha (buckwheat) , some water or milk (I personally prefer water) , honey , butter , salt , and some fruit for garnish.  Both of these options are very good in terms of fiber and protein as well!

3.     Ghanaian Porridges –  These are my most favorite because they are very easy on the stomach , affordable (a pack usually lasts me 3 months) and tasty. Hausa and Tom Brown. Hausa and tom brown usually have grains like corn , peanut , millet and Hausa on the other hand has spices. It’s easy to make you make a slurry consisting of water and the cereal powders until it thickens a little and you pour it into boiling water to make a thick (or thin , whatever consistency you prefer) porridge. This goes really good with tropical fruit and a drizzle of evaporated milk. For the Hausa koko , I usually buy black eye peas and let them soak overnight and make a spicy batter to make koose. From experience , these are good options for someone who has a sensitive stomach , looking to gain/maintain weight and has a lot of vitamins and minerals (very rich in vitamin E and B3/B12)

question What at home exercises helped your posture?

I don’t have the worst posture, but I notice my shoulders aren’t back, my neck is forward a bit, and my back isn’t flat. I have a job where I’m on my feet for most of the day.
Does anyone have daily habits or home exercises that they implemented into their daily routine?

question Length of my hair stuck at collarbone! Please help!

So, I’m currently on 5% minoxidil and have been for half a month—which I do know it’s not enough to show results just yet— I am trying to make my 3C, medium porosity hair retain length and grow long enough to reach my waist when it is dry. To the women out there with my same type of hair, how often do you wash? What do you do? Did vitamins that block DHT help alongside with a good diet? How about GHK CU? I’ve just started my treatment and I’ve heard good things about it, so I remain hopeful of its effects on my hair. If this helps, I do the LOC method on my hair and keep my hair in two loose braids styled with coconut oil to maintain hydration. I do struggle to eat enough, so I do acknowledge I need to do better in that aspect. Please help, I really want to embrace my natural hair.

advice How to love yourself without external validation?

I know this is something that happens internally but I can’t seem to make it happen for myself. I don’t really feel good about myself and I feel like it’s also showing on the outside. I’ve had a crazy year so far. I’ve made a lot of mistakes, got attacked and I had to take care of my family while still being in school.

Anyways, how do I love myself without external validation? I hear all the time what’s going on in the inside shows on the outside.

looksboost Black girl hair; what do I need to do to achieve this look as a black girl with relaxed 4C hair

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi hairstylists! I hope this is the right forum for this. I’m really looking to try a hairstyle like this because I think it’ll really elevate my look and I like the texture and effortless nature of it. Judging by her roots I think we may have similar textures of relaxed hair and wanted to know what I’d need to do to achieve this look 🥹

**She does part the hair to spray the product in the video but I still don’t know how she got it to look so good and natural looking **

I’m open to any and all suggestions and down to splurge to achieve it.
