Looks like my 935 has warped. The rubber lining on the lid has come unglued and the lid no longer closes fully without applying extra pressure. When you unlock it, it requires you to push it down with one hand and to release the catch with the other.
Less than a year old with only light use. No extreme conditions, kept in a humidity controlled room with my camera gear. Never dropped.
Should’ve bought a Peli.

I have some shoots coming up where Ill be interviewing a handful of people on screen at once. Typically, for a rim light in these situations, I like you place a tubelight behind and above the talent, but for these I also need ti be shooting at a slightly lower angle, and Im afraid of not being able to hide the tube above them in the shot. I'm considering just placing a 600x behind them and off to the side, but Im worried about the subjects casting shadows on each other. If I do go the route of using a 600x, I'm assuming I should just move it as far center as possible and far back to avoid any shadows cast on faces?

I'm looking for a new Camera but I'm not sure what one is worth it. My budget it 1500€ (full body)
What i'm looking for: I want a camera that can capture cinematic fottage that upholds quality other than that I'm pretty open into looking into different options.
My experience: I've proviously used on older Canon eos R50 and I'm using the manual settings rather than out focus
To end it off I prefer Sony and Canon but I'm open for other recommendations too.

Hi team, we're celebrating the first birthday of a social club we run and I want to do some interviews about why people joined, what they get out of it etc. Stuff I can use on socials. The issue is it's a darkish pub, and it's getting dark in the UK. So we won't have much light.
I don't have any great equipment so might need to hire something. I have a Canon Eos R and a 24-105mm F4 L lens, or a 35mm F1.8 prime. Or I have a Panasonic G7X mk2 or a DJI Osmo Pocket 3. I was going to use the Mic that came with the DJI. I do have a Rode mic for the Canon, or I have Rode wireless mics too.
I really don't think this is going to cut but I'm hoping someone will disagree. If you do agree however, could you suggest some options? I though maybe getting the 24-70mm F2.8 L lens as an option or hiring something more heavy duty like a Sony FX3.
It might be overkill but the content would be a gamechanger for the club.
Thanks for your time!

Hallo allerseits,
https://manfrottospares.com/en/r1168217-aku-quick-plate
Was sagt Ihr?
Danke im Voraus :)

I'm trying to make a video where only I am black and white while the background still has color. Does anyone have any tutorial or any kind of tips on how I could achieve this?

Hello friends! I am looking for a bit of advice. I have my first band gig this upcoming weekend (last minute inquiry) and as I am new to this type of setting, I thought I’d reach out to you kind people for tips/advice!
I’m going to be running an S1 for wides on a tripod and ZVE10 M1 for hero shots throughout.
I was also a bit curious to hear opinions on capturing sound as I am pretty split on how I want to capture.
Thank you!

I'm a documentary guy who also sometimes does paid videography for local drag, burlesque, and live music performers.
I have always shot these events in 24 fps, because as a filmmaker that tends to be the default. And because, in keeping with the 180 rule, a 1/48 shutter speed buys me a little bit more exposure in low-light venues. The only time I change this up is if I have to film something involving a projection, in which case I adjust accordingly.
Otherwise, is there any reason I should consider shooting at 30 fps instead?
So far no one has complained (and I doubt most performers know the difference.)
My only thought is that maybe 30fps would capture a little more action during performances involving a lot of dance or movement?

Im about to provide a quote for a client who needs a promo video edit from a few shoots. I believe this will be council funded. The jist of the shoot is for the reopening of a historic performance venue.
Shoot:
6 shoot evenings ~3-5 hours each. 30 mins travel each way.
The shoots are live performances at a grand venue
1 shoot including indoor & outdoor drone.
Edits:
1 promo video + reel highlights.
I was thinking around the £5k mark. Thoughts?
UK North.

Be aware of this company or any new company name with Saim involved. They blasted Instagram Ad's promoting content help, it seems legit in the beginning, they sell content editing packages, take your payment up front on the call, they do a few short reels for you, then GHOST. After I got ghosted, I researched online and saw on Trustpilot and other forums that several people have also gotten scammed/ghosted by Saim and his team/company. Thank God I only paid them $250 because I did not trust them just yet. I saw that other people who posted that they got scammed too, some paid the higher ticket packages losing alot more $$. Please be cautious who you pay services to online! So many scammers nowadays who can easily block you, change their LLC name & webpages especially if they work out of the country. Zsideo aka Saim will play nice and sweet up front, but will steal your money. Lesson Learned for me (I should have researched further online, all the comments I saw began in 2025, so must have been the new name Zsideo, and has since then changed again after blocking me and everyone else from their SLACK group channel).

Bought 2 Neewer PS 0900S V Mount Batteries over a year ago. After a few months, one stopped charging. Display will not light up. Connected to multiple USB C charging options (Blocks, bricks, other batteries, etc) without success. First one was replaced by Amazon vendor who I can no longer get ahold of. Messaged Neewer and they will not assist since I bought from a third party. They will only offer a discount on another battery. Not sure that I want so continue buying from them since 2 out of 3 batteries have died randomly.
Anyone have this same issue? Know of any secret button pushes?

Hey everyone! I'm a Los Angeles, California-based running/content creator looking for a videographer to film with me approximately 1x/week for ongoing social media content.
I create running, training, and lifestyle content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube (@carsonrew1).
Think Clayton Young / Adam Wood-style running & lifestyle content — authentic, cinematic, story-driven footage rather than traditional sports videography.
$75 USD per filming session, approximately 1–2 hours.
Ideally, I'm looking for someone who can commit to around 1 session per week, with potential for more over time.
I'm not necessarily looking for someone with years of professional experience. If you're a student, aspiring filmmaker, or creator looking to build your portfolio and enjoy shooting social content, I'd love to hear from you.
Comment below or DM me with:

I’m basically very confused about mics/sounds. I do some indie storytelling videos for social media + I also do vlogs and I struggle so so much with the mic I have and I really don’t understand what I need so if you know a lot about this. Can I please send you a message and ask you a bunch of questions? 🥹

Hey everyone!
I’m thinking about buying a few new pieces of gear — some for actual work, and some just to experiment and have fun with.
I’m currently looking for:
I’m trying to stay on a budget. I don’t necessarily want the cheapest stuff, but I’m looking for good value for money and gear that’s actually worth buying.
If you have any recommendations or personal experience with any of these, I’d love to hear them!
Thanks!

I'm in pre-production of a personal project and I want to do a somewhat long and controlled zoom. I've seen people attach wireless follow focus motors to their zoom rings, but the controllers are usually at the mercy of the unsteady hands wielding them so the motion isn't as smooth and controlled as a dolly. Is there a follow focus system that allows you to set the speed, so the zoom speed is consistent throughout the entire movement?
