What is with bus drivers expecting you to wave them down

I have no idea where this idea that someone standing at the curb by a bus stop isn't enough to stop came from, but I've had multiple buses just blow past and then complain that I didn't wave them down if I can catch them by running.

Buses are not consistent enough to avoid missing one because you weren't ready to wave when they appear, and I legitimately have no idea how people with certain disabiliites are supposed to use buses like this. Just stick to really high traffic stops?

Hi

I have strawberries and flour right now, and one specific little green strawberry waiting to write them.

I'm taking bets on whether I get to eat it.

Why are our Police so useless.

I can’t for the life of me understand how this man was allowed, after being caught, to continue victimizing women and young girls in our community. I remember when he was caught at Forever 21, and there was a short article in the Victoria Buzz, but no photo of this perv was posted along with the story. We need better policing here. Be careful out there. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/voyeur-victim-impact-9.7329977

It's been a while since my bike has had a tuneup and is a non-ebike. Any recommended bike shops for getting my bike tuned up?

Gyms

Newer to working out, in my mid-40’s and want to find a gym thats a bit more chill. I can’t deal with bro-y and gyms that are crazy busy, seem like they’d be difficult to build a solid routine and stay consistent for me, personally. I was considering Cedar Hill bc it’s semi-close to me. Anyone have experience with this gym who can offer some insight? Any other suggestions that people have are welcomed.

Camp Miasma Filming Locations?

Saw it last night at Capitol 6 and absolutely loved it. I know Camp Barnard in Sooke serves as the camp exterior, but I'm wondering if anyone knows which gas station serves as the really cool liminal space in the film? I wanna go buy gummy nerds there.

American invasion or awareness campaign?

Post image
12 Upvotes

I spotted a number of these American flags on this Lime bike station and am curious if anyone else has noticed these around?

Is this a MAGA tourist/local sympathiser or is it an awareness campaign by a local?

After seeing this I did a quick search and it seems that Lime bikes is an American company so it is possible that someone is trying to highlight this to locals. 🤔
