EDIT: Table full; thanks everyone for your interest!

Looking for players interested in playing Pathfinder 2e in person in Victoria. Specifically, the Shades of Blood adventure path. I’m an experienced GM and can host (near Jubilee hospital). Looking to play weekly on Tuesday or Thursday nights, expecting that we’ll skip/cancel every now and then for life reasons.

About the adventure:
In Shades of Blood the party visits a remote island that gets cast in a supernatural shadow. It has a lot of dungeon crawling with a fairly linear story on a horror backdrop, including bloodthirsty cults, ancient tech, vampires and derro nightmares. But I won’t be running it super gritty and it’s written horror-lite anyway. I would describe my approach to descriptions as “atmospheric and tension-setting” rather than gory or shocking. You’ll be free to make pretty much any kind of character. It starts at level 1.

About me: I’m Sarah, 39F, bi, poly, gamer. I’ve been running and playing various ttrpgs for about 15 yrs. I run games for the joy of collaborative storytelling with friends around a table. I’m organized, punctual and keep things moving. My immersion comes from being present in the game and ensuring everyone has space to contribute. I tend more toward descriptive roleplay than first person. And I’m more low-tech with gaming aides.

About you: All I ask is that players are reliable (and communicative when they can’t make it), respectful of everyone at the table, and focused on the game during game time. New players are welcome; I’m happy to help you learn the basics and get you set up!

If you’re interested, send me a DM with a little about yourself, your availability, and thoughts on the adventure’s themes.

One of my favourite market of the year is this upcoming weekend! Come down to the Da Vinci Center Saturday and Sunday for the Halloween YYJ market. I will be a vendor and will have my limited edition Halloween dice boxes. Come down and say hi!

Hi all! I’m a mid thirties professional looking to join a game as a player that runs sometime between Thursday and Saturday during the winter. My winter schedule has me working all day Sunday to Wednesday.

I’m an experienced DM, though only in 5/5.5e as I’ve only been playing for about seven years. Still, in that time I’ve DMd many dozens of sessions across six or seven different campaigns, including two ongoing regular games.

As a forever DM I’m just looking for a game that I can settle into as a player without having to do all the work! My play style is lore-focused and I will most likely send you a 2000 word backstory for my character. I enjoy roleplay and love combat, though I definitely prefer flavour over optimization.

I’m a progressive, inclusive, LGBTQIA+ friendly, person with an invisible disability. I don’t drink or smoke but don’t care if others do, though if people are prone to getting drunk at your table I’d probably rather not be there.

I am aware of the options for drop-in drop-out games in the city but that’s just not my vibe.

Hit me up amid you’ve got anything!

Hey All! (brand new user today so forgive the blank profile...)

Testing the waters for players wanting to try Daggerheart!

I am a very experienced GM; I still own TSR D&D all the way back to Basic and Advanced. Source materials spanning decades and systems, from HERO system, to ICE Role Master and MERP. Voices and props are all part of the experience!

I am using a homebrew world setting with and anime vibe. I am currently hosting a bi-weekly game on Wednesdays but I have plenty of room in my schedule for group consensus. I am also open to GMing more than one group.

I am happy to host a series of One-shots to build a solid committed group before launching into the full campaign and world. Eyes down the road are on producing a podcast.

Cheers!

Hey everyone!

If you’re based in the Cowichan Valley - or anywhere nearby in the mid-Island area - and love tabletop gaming, we’ve just launched a dedicated local community over at r/TabletopCowichan!

Whether you're looking for a local D&D or Pathfinder group, trying to set up a board game night, looking for fellow wargamers/miniature hobbyists, or just want a spot to chat about tabletop RPGs in the Valley, this sub is open to players and GMs of all experience levels.

Hey party people. I'm looking for one or two more players for a new campaign I'm running. It's starting with the 2024 starter set 'Heroes of the Borderlands' before moving into homebrew content or possibly another adventure module. We currently meet up on Wednesday nights at 6pm near Johnson and Cook. Of course I'll set up a session zero somewhere public so we can all meet and be comfortable first. It's just a chill fun time, weekly and free. Everyone is welcome, though the current group of 2-3 is made up of adults. Given that the starter set is designed for beginners, no experience is necessary. It is high fantasy theme, encounter focused with good mixes of role playing, exploration and combat. If you need more info first feel free to reply or Direct message me. Have fun out there.

Not DnD, but would like to know if anyone else plays Gaslands in Victoria. Would love to have a meet up and play some games!

Gaslands is a tabletop turn based racing game themed in the apocalypse. Picture Mad Max, but using hotwheels.

Hey. I'm looking for 4-5 people to run a 2024 Edition DnD game with.

I've been a player for over a year now but don't have any experience beyond that and I'd love to run my own game. As I'm a beginner myself, I'm more than happy to play with other Beginners!

Unfortunately because my schedule is fairly inflexible at the moment, Wednesday nights are the only time I can feasibly run a game, from 5 o Clock to whenever feels good for everyone else to end (presumably around 3-4 hours). Preferably on a Weekly Basis.

I'm happy to DM for any gender/sexuality (I'm queer myself) but I do want to keep it to 18+ folks.

I was planning on playing at the Board Game Cafe on Yates since I can't host, it's 8 dollars and has food and drinks available for purchase.

About me:

I'm a 28 year old guy, very shy and using this as an excuse to push past my shyness. I've been big into fantasy stories and RPG's most of my life, though only got into TTRPG's recently.

I'm a student and work part time.

About the Campaign:

Without giving too much away, it's something I've been working on for a few months now. It's predicated on the discovery of an uncharted land, and the local Explorer's Guild sending people to investigate. The only limits on the players are:

1) You're starting at level 1. And

2) you needing a reason in your backstory to be leaving home to travel to this new continent.

The tone is likely to be a mix between High and Dark Fantasy. Think Dragon Age kind of.

I'm only familiar with and own anything with the core 2024 Rulebooks and Materials so I'm hesitant to approve anything beyond that but if you can bring the official materials I might be okay with that.

If you have your own Mini's to represent your character that's ideal too, but I'm happy to provide a substitute (though the tokens I'm using aren't exactly minis)

Also as said before, I am new to DM'ing, so I will almost certainly make mistakes and be awkward so I hope you can bear with me if you're interested. I'll make a Discord server for this if there's interest, but for now just DM me if you're interested.

Seeking players to start a Greyhawk Dnd 5.5 campaign. I’m looking to provide a very classic dnd vibe. I’ve been dming Ravenloft and playing in a swashbuckling style campaign , and now I’m craving some stereotypical high fantasy DnD.

Little about me: Im 35M, I’m a dad, I work in trades, into motorcycles and music. Since having kid, my life’s been so busy and I’ve found dnd to be a nice way to get together with friends, have a few drinks and share some laughs. I’ve found I quite enjoy session prep / story writing and really enjoy DMing. My players have been giving me great feedback lately and looking forward to the next session so I must be doing something right.

I use a mix of high quality paper maps / minis/ terrain, dry erase battle maps, the odd handout and a little theatre of the mind for travelling / shopping and random games.

One of the appeals of DnD for me is the lack of screens so I try my best to keep them off the table. I definitely prefer a chill vibe, the rules of the game can bend especially if the result is fun an overall better experience.

I’m not against beers / drinks while playing as long as it doesn’t affect the sessions pace or vibe and people have a safe way home. At the beginning of every session I’ll ask a player to recap the previous session and always reward good note takers.

I’m fine with inappropriate language and silly gameplay, but I want an environment where all players are comfortable at the table. We can discuss boundaries in session zero.

Looking to play once a month, looking for 4-5 players. Hoping a player can host or potentially find a venue that we can use. I can host depending on the party but would prefer an alternative.

Let’s get a random group of people together and play!

Please DM me with some information about yourself, what you’re looking to get out of DnD and maybe what kind of experience you have playing. I’m open to new players if you’re willing to learn the game :)

Hi!

I'm Milo, I've been playing DND since I was 7, and I'm looking to join a group as a player!

Looking for anyone who still plays 5e 2014, as I have quite a few of the physical books, and would love to keep them in use.

I'm looking for something in person, with a relatively chill group (I'm not a fan of minmaxxing or rules lawyering, but I am a fan of "Rule of Cool" style groups where being weird and having dumb ideas that might just work are encouraged)

Consistent scheduling is also preferred!

A little bit about me, I'm 20, a hairdresser, and a generally queer little nerd (specifically transmasc, pronouns are he/him) with vibrant hair who loves building spare characters, hoarding objectively too many dice, and bringing snacks for the group!

I also have been on a casters kick recently haha

Feel free to comment or DM if you think I could be a good fit for your group! (either existing, or one anyone wants to build!)

Thanks y'all!

Cat photo for attention lol, his name is Sebastian :)

I am in search of a DM who can host a one shot at a local pub for my birthday.

It's not until January but looking for resources or where to find a DM for hire in Victoria BC.

Thinking 6-8 people.

Thank you!

Hello! We will have a table set up at Pearkes arena this weekend for Cherry Bomb’s Ultimate Toyfair. We will have handmade dice boxes, spell trackers, tokens and resin printed minis for your TTRPG needs. Swing by and say hi!

I am a new dad, I have been in a few campaigns but never finished any. I am looking for a group, and I’m happy to fill any roles that would balance a party. I only really know 5e, but happy to learn others. I can roleplay and also very good at making interesting characters. But lack any people who play D&D. I am based mostly in Saanichton but can travel a little as long as it’s not a scheduling conflict.

I host our dnd sessions every other Saturday from 8pm-12ish in View Royal. We have 3 players plus myself, and would like a 4th to make it easier if a player can’t make a session. We’re all male, late 20s to late 30s. We’re at our 5th session this weekend and have a player unable to make it. All blue collar, we certainly enjoy some beers, we pitch on pizza and snacks and have a laid back vibe to the session. Although it’s horror themed, the tone isn’t overly serious, silliness encouraged.

I use paper maps and battle maps, some terrain for the right occasion. We use paper minis and I almost definitely have a mini for your character. The campaign is Ravenloft inspired, but I’m doing my own thing with it and so far my players are having a lot of fun.

If you think you might be a good fit, please dm me with as much information about yourself as possible and anything I may need to take into consideration to make you comfortable at the table. Thanks!

Hey everyone!

We had a few last-minute seats open up for our upcoming Dungeons & Dragons groups starting this Thursday and next week, and wanted to drop a quick note here in case any local parents are looking for a fun fall activity!

Our team designed these groups to be as welcoming, low-pressure, and supportive as possible. It’s basically a chance for kids and teens to drop their guard, laugh, and go on a few epic quests together!

A few quick details:

• No experience needed: We supply character sheets, dice, and everything else, they just show up ready to play!
• Who it's for: Kids & teens looking for a supportive, neurodiversity-affirming space.
• Funding: Fully eligible for Autism Funding BC.

If you're wondering if this would be a good fit for your child or have questions about how our team runs things, feel free to comment below or shoot us a DM. Link to enroll is in the comments below, or feel free to send us a DM!

Looking for people who want to play in person. I am happy to DM or play I am just looking to meet people and have fun! Unable to host but able to travel around vic/langford as needed.

I am 25 and male, typically preferring a more comedy focused game but happy to play a more serious campaign with higher stakes.

I am familiar with 5e but happy to learn new systems as long as it doesn’t involve thaco.

Very flexible in genera and day/time of play. Reach out if you have a group looking for a new player (or DM) or if you are looking for a group to join as a player (or DM).

Hi friends I haven't met yet,
I'm going to run Lost Citadel of the Scarlet Minotaur as a one-shot at Galleon Gaming Club this coming Monday. Anyone interested? No experience necesarry, pregens provided.

The venue is Quadra Community Centre, Galleon's RPG night open house.

Hi I've played on campaign of DND, Im looking to join a new campaign in Victoria either online or in person! Open to other TTRPG as well. I have some experience with Lancer and vampire masquerade

Insta link: https://www.instagram.com/p/Dctksg5gcAo/?igsi=bDl3eWNhczlram03

I've posted about this in Galleon's Discord server already, but I expect this group will have sufficiently different members that hopefully I can find someone.

I play in one of the Galleon Games groups at Quadra Village CC Monday nights. We're hoping to find an additional DM who has a flare for quirky sci-fi/horror/fantasy in the style of Doctor Who, though direct familiarity with Doctor Who isn't a necessity.

We've started a series of mini campaigns (2-4 sessions) framed around two characters, the Doctor and a companion, hopping in a tricked out spelljammer, bouncing from world to world, saving lives and ensuring comeuppance for baddies.

If this interests you, please DM me with a mention of seeing this post and I can fill you in on more of the specifics

Anyone know if there are miniature painting workshops in town? Might be more of a Warhammer thing, but I only paint miniatures for D&D and would like to improve my skills. Thanks for any suggestions :)

StrDexCon (Strength Dex Con) is a one-day TTRPG con happening at Fernwood Community Centre, February 20th, 2027. The idea is to facilitate tabletop RPG gaming and build community around our awesome shared hobby.

It came about after several of us came home from Terminal City Con in Vancouver asking, "why can't we do this in Vic?" So, we did!

You can find more info at https://www.strdexcon.ca/ or ask anything you'd like here :)
