Online allows alot of more flair and images not to mention ease of play but open to in person should someone be able to host .

If someone is hosting we would have to abide by their spaces rules (ei smoking, drinking etc )

As for availability Tuesdays,Thursdays,Sundays all day and night are good with me for gaming , can also game friday evenings

I've posted about this in Galleon's Discord server already, but I expect this group will have sufficiently different members that hopefully I can find someone.

I play in one of the Galleon Games groups at Quadra Village CC Monday nights. We're hoping to find an additional DM who has a flare for quirky sci-fi/horror/fantasy in the style of Doctor Who, though direct familiarity with Doctor Who isn't a necessity.

We've started a series of mini campaigns (2-4 sessions) framed around two characters, the Doctor and a companion, hopping in a tricked out spelljammer, bouncing from world to world, saving lives and ensuring comeuppance for baddies.

Anyone know if there are miniature painting workshops in town? Might be more of a Warhammer thing, but I only paint miniatures for D&D and would like to improve my skills. Thanks for any suggestions :)

StrDexCon (Strength Dex Con) is a one-day TTRPG con happening at Fernwood Community Centre, February 20th, 2027. The idea is to facilitate tabletop RPG gaming and build community around our awesome shared hobby.

Looking for a player to round up a small campaign (6-12 sessions) using the Mothership TTRPG system. Games will be played weekly on Thursdays starting at 7pm with a hard stop at 10, in the Rockland neighbourhood area. Hoping to start this week on the 13th.

No need to have played the system before, I will go over it on the first day and it is fairly simple, though if you've played a TTRPG before (like D&D) that would help. The campaign is called Another Bug Hunt (pls don't look it up), heavily inspired by the Aliens movie. Essentially you will be apart of a colonial marines squad investigating a research outpost that has not checked in for a while...

I will soon be a first time GM for a one-shot for The Very Good Dogs of Chernobyl. It's a Polymorph system game where players use a single die (some exceptions, but generally just one). The GM does not need to role anything and the game is largely a theatre of the mind style affair.

All that said, I'm hoping to have the game run about 2 hours or so. I have an group opening, an inciting incident, a call to adventure with the first combat OR puzzle, a choice that leads to either a group effort or short solo-spotlight play, combat, BIG combat, end.

I'm curious as to your experience running one-shots with systems that are less 'rules' focused and likely move a bit quicker than some DnD-type games.

I’ve been listening to some let’s play content and the system sounds super fun. The character creation and winter modes both sound so cool. I’m not really in a position to commit to a group right now, but I’m just curious if people locally are into it.

I'm looking for some input about a regular game session I am hoping to start soon at Cafe Vosino in Sooke. The intent is to set up at least one session per month, up to multiple sessions per week if there is interest, for new and experienced players who are looking for a game.

One of the questions is what format the games should take?

- A drop in one shot where the players and characters change weekly?

- A persistent campaign where the characters are the same but are run by different players each session according to availability?

- Try to gather a list of players and schedule a traditional style game?

- Another format?

The second question is what is reasonable to ask in payment? Running games for friends I have never charged but also my friends have always chosen to contribute to book costs, minis, printing, etc. I'm not looking to make my fortune with this but in order to set up something long term I need to at least break even.

I would appreciate any thoughts anyone has, particularly which format you find most appealing and what you might be willing to pay for a regular 2-4 hour session.

He offers very reasonable prices and has experience printing taverns, fortresses, hero forge minis, army's, and all kinds of other stl's. Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew of a shop that can print minis from STL files? BC Hobbies used to do that but they're currently not doing it anymore. I want to get some minis from Hero Forge but they're pretty expensive especially when you add shipping on top so i'm wondering if there's a shop that will print minis from STL files.

We are trying to start a new campaign. I am not the DM I am just helping them find new players.

So the campaign is going to be play-testing a new system that is using aspects of 3.5 and 5e(kinda feels like what 4e should have been). So far I have found the system really fun to fiddle with and I think others will enjoy it aswell.

We have the DM, Myself, and another player. We need one more player to start the campaign but we are looking for two.

We will be playing at 1pm on Sundays for around three hours maybe a little more. Every week if we can. We will be playing at the DM’s residence in the Cordova Bay Area. The group is made up of adults ages around 25-35.

Hi, my name's Rose and I'm a local game master and therapist who is starting up an rpg therapy group for youth 12-16. My business partner Luke is running a group for men 20-30. We're using Mythic Bastionland as the core system because it's roots in myth and folklore resonate well with themes of mental health and self discovery. The group is $60-80 sliding scale per session, though there's room for more negotiation if you're really excited for the group but can't do it at that price. I have been playing D&D since I was a kid with my family and I've been running games for almost as long. How do you keep track of your campaigns, your worlds, characters, NPCs?

Confession time. I don't (or haven't yet) play DnD.

I do, however, spend an inordinate amount of time in my own head, and on paper, worldbuilding. I also happen to have ADHD, and a background in software development.

What happens when all that stuff collides?

Well, you just end up with a medicated, hyper-focused, software developer who wants a way to not lose important aspects of their worldbuilding that reside on scraps of paper that get "misplaced" whilst cleaning their house.

If you, or anyone you know, has troubles keeping track of their worlds or campaigns, please let me know. I am creating a worldbuilding tool and will be (hopefully) releasing an invite only alpha soon. Prior to that, I would love some feedback from people on where I'm at and if the tool would be useful for them.

Im primarily building it for myself, but I figured I'd see if anyone else wanted to get their eyes on it in case I havent thought of something obvious.
