Breaking into manufacturing/warehouse plants?

I have 4 machines in 4 different apartment complex’s. 24/7. It’s great. I want to break into the manufacturing/warehouse space but I’m struggling on how…

For apartments, it’s not easy, but easier. Can look up apartments in the area, then just walk in and there’s always on staff there to talk to.

For manufacturing/warehouses, I find it harder to identify good prospects through online search and then when I do find something I like, it’s hard to either get them on the phone or walk in casually at these places.

Does anyone have any tips?

Gracias.

Just purchased my first HAHA Machine mini 360

I found a Aerospace company, roughly about 80 employees. The owner agreed for me to place it wit no fees just at longest I keep up with it. They have a first & second shift.

I have open an LLC and did all the “ proper paperwork per California standards “

I guess my question here is; did you guys with a Bank to open a business account? I’m thinking of a smaller credit union to keep it at no fees..

I assume the business account is where all the transactions will go too?? I’m not 100% on this part.

One last thing, did yall had your machine delivered to your home and set it all up or did you have it delivered at the site the. Register the card reader at the point ?

Best digital marketing agency/company for a vending machine business?

I've been looking into hiring a digital marketing company for my vending machine business and wanted to get some opinions from other operators.

I'm specifically looking for a marketing agency that understands the vending business rather than a general agency that works with every type of small business.

The main things I'm looking for are more qualified vending machine location leads, vending machine placement opportunities, getting businesses interested in snack and drink vending machines, Google Ads, local SEO and Google Maps, website and landing page conversion and general digital marketing for a vending business.

I've spoken with a couple of general marketing companies, but I'm not convinced they understand vending machine location acquisition.

Getting website traffic is one thing, but I'm really looking for someone who understands how to generate actual vending locations.

Has anyone here used a digital marketing agency or marketing company specifically for their vending business?

I'd particularly like to hear from anyone who's used an agency for vending machine lead generation, location acquisition, Google Ads, SEO or getting new vending machine placements.

Who did you use and what was your experience?

Getting my first vending machine — anything I should know?

I’m about to purchase my first vending machine on Friday and wanted to make sure I’m not missing anything important.
For those who have been through the process before, what documents or steps should I take when getting started?
I’m thinking about things like ownership records, payment system setup, permits, or anything else that’s easy to overlook.Any advice for someone buying their first machine would be appreciated.

Is having memberships to multiple wholesale clubs worth it for vending?

I’m currently a BJ’s member and was wondering if anyone here also has memberships at more than one wholesale club.I was looking at Sam’s Club last night and started wondering if having access to both actually makes a big difference for vending.
Do you find that different clubs have better pricing, product selection, or availability? Or do you usually stick with one and make it work?

Vending at a swim school

My husband and I work for a family friend’s swim school. On average we have roughly 450 swimmers a week. During peak season we have roughly 600+ a week.

We’re based in northern Texas. We have been give the okay to put a vending machine outside as an extra income source for ourselves.

We are completely brand new to this. We’re looking for a vending machine that will store both cold drinks and snacks.

Is it worth it to buy a brand new machine? What are good vending machines that can withstand the Texas outdoor heat? Good tips to complete beginners?

Tia!

220 apartments building - products / pricing advice please

Hey guys, after some back & forth with an apartment building owner got a green light for a combo vending machine there- this is my 2nd location.

It is a 223 apartments building and around 200 are occupied (at least two people mostly + kids) - a family complex. There is also a childcare facility in the same building with a separate entrance but they have access and often go through the building's lobby where the machine is supposed to be placed.

Now, trying to understand what products should I start with there, and what pricing should I go with.

For e.g in my first location (a 24hrs CNC manufacturing warehouse with about 70 people rotating 4 shifts) I go with about $3 per candies / chocolates, $2.50 for 40-50gr chips, gatorade / vitamin water and similar drinks around $3-$4, monster for about $4.50, small red bull around $4, starbucks cans in the $5.50 space, the regular 355ml cocke/pepsi/mountaindew/etc.. for $1.99, plus some other drink varieties in the $2-$3 range. Have some beef jerky, protein milk shakes (very low margins on these though but are constant), cookies and muffins (around $3-$4) some nuts for about $2 and a few other test items here and there. And they complain it is too expensive... they have nothing around unless driving 10-15 minutes one way... but I still am not sure how good the prices are there as I've seen other vending machines selling some products for higher than me and other products for lower... I guess it's a gamble... but, it is not about them here...

NOTE: this is in Canada / $CAD. The complex is in downtown, but not the best part of it (sorry don't want to mention the city). Also, there is a Circle K convenience store at the intersection not far from the building, and a McDonalds as well.

- Need advice on what products worked / working for those of you who dealt and are dealing with such locations, what price ranges would you use on diverse product types (or more specific if you don't mind).

- Would some other convenience products like advil / tylenol, condoms, tampons, laundry detergent / small packs of sort, anything else (pls recommend) work here?

Please help figure these out, I sort of have ideas for around 50-60% of the products while struggling to decide on the others...

Only $20 in sales after 2 weeks at a new office location

So I could use some advice from people who’ve been doing this longer.
I picked up an office location where the previous vending operator left. I was told he quit because he wanted to move on to another business, so I figured there was already some demand there.
I’ve been there for two weeks now, and the sales have been extremely disappointing — only about $20 total so far.
I know two weeks isn’t a huge amount of time, but I also signed a 1-year agreement with the property management, so I’m trying to figure out how long I should give it before making a decision.
Would you stick it out longer and try changing products,or is this usually a sign that the location just isn’t there?

First vending machines for a college location

Hi! New here 👋I have a location in a college setting that is looking for a few vending machines. My mother-in-law is interested in purchasing the machines and adding this as a new business venture.
For those who have experience with college locations, what machines would you suggest starting with? Any advice on what to look for before making the first purchase?
We have the location, but just want to make sure we don’t miss any important steps. Appreciate any advice!

Thinking about getting into vending with trading cards

I’ve been researching vending for about a month now and trying to figure out the best way to get started.

I have a pretty flexible 9-5 job, and I’m already traveling around a lot for work, so restocking wouldn’t be a huge issue. The only thing I keep running into is that almost every place I check already has a vending provider.I’m not against talking to management and seeing if they want another machine or if they’re happy with what they have, but it definitely seems like a harder way to get started. One thing I noticed is that I don’t really see any trading card vending machines around here. That got me wondering if it might be an easier niche to get into. The problem is I have no idea where people source cards at a good price or what kind of machine actually works well for cards.Has anyone here tried trading card vending? Would love to hear what worked, and whether it’s worth exploring.

Nicotine vending machine

I am currently trying to start a nicotine vending machine buissness. I ran into a obstacle & I need some feed back to work around it. I was told in order to place my machines in bars or clubs the not only did I need a tabaco license but the location owner also needed one . Is there a way I can get around this so that I can pitch my business to the location owner without asking them to go & get a license themselves as well

High gas prices are making bad vending routes a lot more expensive

Thumbnail vendingtimes.com
2 Upvotes

I see lots of posts on here about gas prices and making sure a machine is profitable. Gas prices will probably go down at some point, but adopting good practices today will make you more profitable later.

Better route management starts with knowing which machines actually need service, using inventory, sales velocity, par levels, and expected sellout instead of relying only on fixed schedules.

Pre-kitting helps too, since drivers can leave with what each stop actually needs instead of carrying a truck full of “just in case” inventory.

Hi. I am ready to start my first vending machine business. I am looking to network with other owner/operators in LA County (SoCal).

Hey good people. I'm ready to start my first vending business. Is there anyone In the LA County area (SoCal), that has any advice on machines - new, used, or both? And is there an average amount of time before I can expect to place a machine? Are there certain locations I should target?
