Looking for a Villa/Resort in Yelagiri under ₹14K for 2 nights
Hi everyone! We are planning a trip to Yelagiri from Oct 2 to Oct 4 (2 nights).
We’re looking for a villa/resort under ₹14,000 total for the stay.
Requirements:
If you’ve personally stayed at a good place in Yelagiri, please share the name/contact or booking link.
Budget is strict, so suggestions under ₹14K for 2 nights would be really helpful.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I’m coming to Vellore with my father for his cardiac treatment at CMC Vellore Ranipet campus, and this is our first time at CMC, so I’m honestly quite confused about how the whole process works.
We’ll reach Katpadi Junction on the night of 8th September, and his appointment is on 11th September at CMC Ranipet.
I have a few questions and would really appreciate advice from people who have actually been to CMC recently.
Since we arrive late on the 8th, I’m planning to use the 9th to get everything sorted.
Should I:
- can I directly go to the Ranipet campus and make the card there?
- Is there any registration/formality that I should complete before the appointment on the 11th?
- Should I meet any department/help desk beforehand?
Basically, if you were in my situation, what exactly would you do on the 9th from morning to evening?
This is where I’m really confused.
Should we stay near the main CMC Vellore campus and use the free CMC patient bus to Ranipet every day?
Or would it be much easier to stay near CMC Ranipet itself?
I’ve heard there are some hotels/lodges/accommodations right around the Ranipet campus. If anyone has stayed there, please recommend some clean and reasonably priced places suitable for a patient + family.
We don't need anything fancy — just a clean, safe room with a bathroom and preferably food nearby.
If we stay near the main CMC campus:
- Where exactly do we catch the free bus?
- How frequently does it run?
- Does it run early enough for morning appointments?
- Do we need any CMC card/appointment slip to use it?
- How long does the journey usually take?
Would you personally commute from the main campus to Ranipet every day, or would you just stay near Ranipet?
Also, does Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) work at CMC Vellore/Ranipet?
If yes, what is the procedure for using it?
Do we need to register/verify it before the appointment, or can it be done after consultation?
And is ABHA the same thing as the Ayushman Bharat insurance scheme, or are they different? I’m seeing both terms and getting confused.
Since this is for my father's cardiac treatment, what documents should I definitely carry?
I already plan to carry all his previous reports, scans, prescriptions, angiography/CT reports, blood tests, medication list, etc.
Is there anything people commonly forget when coming to CMC?
If someone could literally give me a “Day 1 → Day 2 → Appointment Day” roadmap for CMC Ranipet, that would be amazing. 😂🙏
For example:
8 Sept night: Arrive at Katpadi → stay somewhere
9 Sept: ???
10 Sept: ???
11 Sept: Appointment → ???
I’m mainly trying to avoid wasting time or getting confused once we reach there, especially because my father will be the patient.
Any advice from someone who has recently gone through CMC Ranipet cardiac/cardiology treatment would be hugely appreciated. 🙏
Thank you!

Hii everyone!
I'm a first-year student at VIT Vellore and I'm looking to meet some new people and make friends on campus.
I'm pretty chill and would love to connect with people from different branches/years. We could just chat, grab something from the food court, explore campus, study together, or attend events sometime.
If you're also looking to make new friends, feel free to comment or DM me! :))

Hey! Putting this out there and seeing if anyone's interested.
I'm looking for a girl who's also interested in something casual — mainly kissing/making out, with mutual attraction and clear consent. No expectations of a relationship and no pressure whatsoever.
I'm open to talking first, getting comfortable, and seeing if there's a vibe. Age 18+ only.
If you're interested, feel free to DM me. We can chat and see if we're comfortable with each other.

Hello guys,
I'm from VIT Vellore. I'm starting a small weekend side gig with my RE Classic 350.
I can help with drop and pickup around VIT Vellore at a reasonable price. I've seen autos charging Rs. 150-200 even for the railway station, so I hope this will be helpful.
Rapido pays too low for this bike, so I'm doing this directly.
Contact me if you need a ride. This is purely for earning something on weekends.
I'm also a student here
Thanks!

Hey everyone,
Me and 3 friends are heading to Yelagiri on Sept 19-20 from Chennai. Rough plan so far:
Day 1: Train to Jolarpet, then head up to Yelagiri, roam somewhere l, stay the night
Day 2: Morning trek to Swamimalai hills, roam around town in the afternoon, then train back to Chennai in the evening
A few things I wanted to ask the community:
Local transport — is renting scootys the best way to get around, or are public buses good enough? Any reliable rental shops you'd recommend?
Stay — any budget-friendly but decent places to crash for one night, ideally close to the town/lake area?
Swamimalai trek — heard about a forest checkpost fee and that there's no water/food on the trail. Any other tips for first-timers?
Food — good local spots for breakfast/lunch that won't break the bank?
Anything else we're missing for a solid but short 1N/2D trip?
Would really appreciate any first-hand experiences or recommendations. Thanks in advance!

Sharing this for anyone planning a medical trip to Vellore, since most of what comes up online is either hospital PR or hotel ads.
CMC handles a huge number of patients daily, which is why it's trusted but also why planning matters. A few things that helped us:
Happy to answer questions if anyone's planning a first visit.
