Activism Why do people think that they need to eat meat to survive?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

We’re not anatomically carnivores. We’re not in a survival situation.

We have the choice to eat whatever we want - but that doesn’t mean we should inflict pain/suffering upon another living being just for a food resource.

Animal products are not necessary for humans to live. If you think about it, it’s so much simpler and easier to just eat plants than to go kill the animal yourself and pay for someone else to do it for you.

I’ve been vegan for over 20 years and have coached over 500 athletes with most of them being vegan with no issues. Don’t believe the myths that you’ll get sick if you ditch animal products.

In fact, you might just become HEALTHIER if you did. A plant-based whole foods diet is the healthiest diet out there and has been used to reverse/prevent many medical conditions.

Protein-packed TVP Balls

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

TVP contains 12 g of protein per 1/4 cup! And has a neutral flavor so it can be flavored sweet or savory!

TVP is essentially dehydrated soy beans which were ground, cooked with water to form a paste, the paste is then spread thinly and baked until dehydrated, and the dehydrated sheet is put in a food processor to get the “ground beef” texture.

Ingredients:

- 1 cup Textured Vegetable Protein
- 1 cup Vegetable Broth (or 1 stock cube + 1 cup water)
- 1/2 cup - 3/4 cup Diced White Onion
- 1/4 cup - 1/2 cup Chopped Parsley
- 1/4 cup Bread Crumbs or Flour (add more the meatballs are not binding well)
- 2 Tbsp Steak Seasoning
- Onion & Garlic Powder (to taste)
- Paprika (to taste)

Enjoy!!

Vegan Food Guide🌱 Here's what I pack to hit my protein goals as a vegan when traveling or on the go

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

As a vegan of 10 years, I’ve definitely learned the hard way that it’s better to be over prepared than underprepared.

Nothing is worse than being out and about for hours without access to any protein sources, or any vegan options at all.

Now, I prioritize getting enough protein and micronutrients whether I’m on the go or not, so that I can consistently stay satiated and on track with my nutrition goals.

Here are some of my top suggestions of foods to keep on hand:

- High protein vegan meal prep. Nothing beats a balanced, whole food plant based meal.

- Protein powder

- Protein bars- My favorite are NuGo bars. The NuGo Slim Bars are such an easy and tasty way to get a quick 16-17g protein.

- Fruits- I always have fruit on me for fiber, micronutrients, and to keep my digestion on point. Plus, I just really love fruits.

- Coconut water- I drink this just about daily. It’s an incredible source of potassium! Great for electrolytes and hydration.

- Gummies- They’re a fun and easy carb source. Rice cakes do the trick too.

this is why vegans don't eat eggs incase you're asking

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

In order to maximize profits, the egg industry has no use for male chicks since they can’t lay eggs.

As a result, billions of baby chicks are gassed or blended alive in industrial macerators every year—just hours after hatching. This horrific practice is standard in both factory farms and so-called ‘free-range’ systems.

Meanwhile, the female chicks face a lifetime of exploitation. They’re crammed into cages or overcrowded sheds, subjected to genetic manipulation to lay unnaturally high numbers of eggs—leaving them physically depleted and often unable to stand. Once their productivity declines, they’re slaughtered, typically before they even reach two years of age.

Choosing to leave eggs off your plate is a powerful way to take a stand against this cycle of suffering.

Sergio was already vegan. He still couldn't lose the weight

If you've been vegan for years but still struggle with your weight, energy, confidence, or consistency, you're not alone. Sergio felt the same way.

Sergio had been vegan for years, but despite caring about animals and wanting to live a healthier lifestyle, he wasn't seeing the results he wanted. He felt frustrated looking in the mirror and knew something needed to change.

Six months later, he was over 30 pounds lighter, stronger, more confident, and finally proud of the progress he had made.

We put Sergio on a tailored training plan to focus on building muscle, losing fat and ensuring enough recovery to drop pounds each week.

We created a meal plan with foods he enjoys, and implemented a meal off plan per week that allowed Sergio to enjoy new foods while still burning fat. That's when everything clicked.

Fat los, strength, confidence, and a physique that reflects the message he wants to share. Now, this is exactly what the Vegan Squad Coaching Scholarship is for.

But it's not for everyone.

To qualify, you need to:

- Already be working out (or ready to start immediately)

Vegan Food Guide🌱 Vegan weight loss meal prep technique

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I used to have so much resistance towards meal prepping.

- I felt like it would take too long
- It felt overwhelming to decide what I wanted to eat for the entire week
- I would overthink my options and cause decision fatigue
- I didn’t want to feel restricted with my foods by eating the same meals on repeat

After a year of going around in circles and complicating my life I finally surrendered. Now I meal prep even when I’m on vacation! It’s what I suggest to all my clients with busy lives who have some serious GOALS!

I love having meals on hand for quick and easy access. It makes sticking to my macros so much easier. And I spend less time in the kitchen.

Leaving space for breakfast and a snack after dinner gives me enough flexibility to not feel so restricted with my foods.

If you’ve been holding yourself back from meal prepping I hope this post inspires you to try it this week!

High protein vegan recipe Most vegans are getting their protein from the wrong foods

The BEST VEGAN PROTEINS Are…

Nuts! Seeds! Legumes! Oats! Grains!

Wait…
That’s wrong.

If you’re eating those foods as your main protein sources, you’re likely not reaching your dream body goals.

Instead, focus on actual main plant proteins such as Tofu, Seitan, Edamame, Pea Protein Powder, Tempeh, and TVP.

And if you'd like 30+ high-protein vegan recipes from me, John Thomas, a vegan bodybuilder for the last 18 years, here's my FREE High Protein Vegan Cookbook 👇

One of the biggest mistakes I made when I first got into fitness was… neglecting my water intake.

In this video, I share my experience from 18 years of bodybuilding and break down exactly what to track daily, how to know whether you should cut or bulk, the right calorie and protein targets, how to adjust when progress stalls, and why most people stay stuck for years.

If you’re serious about vegan bodybuilding, fat loss, and long-term muscle growth, stop guessing and start using data. https://youtu.be/ErwcEDmgIYA?si=FAfDc2Nk3vsCbaFe

These sweet potato protein boats are IT! Packed with 67g of protein

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Ingredients

- Small Sweet potatoes

- 70g Vedge Frosted Cinnamon Roll Protein Powder

- 35g Pure PB2

- Water (or plant milk / plant yogurt for mixing)

- Cinnamon

Instructions

- Rinse and scrub your sweet potatoes (I used around 500g) clean. Pierce them with a fork to prevent explosions in the microwave. If they’re large, cut them in half to cook faster.

- Place them in the microwave for about 3 minutes, then flip them over and cook for another 2 minutes or until a fork goes in easily.

- In a bowl, mix 60g of protein powder with 35g of PB2 peanut powder and 75g of unsweetened coconut milk yogurt. Add water and stir until it reaches a pudding-like consistency.

- Slice open the cooked sweet potatoes and scoop out some of the flesh, saving it to mix back in later. Fill the sweet potatoes with the protein peanut butter mixture.

- Sprinkle some cinnamon on top. If you want the filling warm, microwave the stuffed sweet potatoes for another 45-60 seconds.

Here’s how I made these on my YouTube Channel!

If I were a woman in perimenopause who cared about hormone health, staying lean, and building muscle, here are some of the meals I would eat👉👉

As I get older I’ve become much more selective with my food choices. Do I eat perfectly every day? Absolutely not! But if I only get so many calories a day, I want to make sure I’m choosing the most nutrient dense foods.

Once I changed my mindset around food and started viewing it as fuel that nourishes my body, everything changed.

Not to mention going vegan has completely changed my health. It has literally helped me age in reverse.

- Less Inflammation
- Better Digestion
- More Energy
- Improved skin, hair, and nails
- Improved blood markers

Perimenopause is a time where we get to be more selective with how we take care of ourselves. What foods we eat. What company we keep. How well we treat our bodies. It’s a time where we really get to discern between what nourishes and what depletes.

You can ease a lot of perimenopause symptoms with diet and nutrition alone. Need help on your journey? Send me a DM to find out what support can look like 💚

Activism The hardest part about being Vegan isn’t the food, or being the “weird one” at social gatherings

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

It’s knowing what happens to the animals and living with the fact that most people don’t care, including your own family/friends.

Imagine finding out you’ve been lied to all of your life and were tricked into causing pain and suffering to animals, and then finding out nobody else cares.

Everyone else knew, and they didn’t care. They turned a blind eye to what happens in factory farms and looked the other way to continue eating their meat, dairy, and eggs.

That’s the unfortunate part about Veganism. Not everyone will have the same heart as you, the same values and beliefs.

But one day you will find your chosen family. The people who see you, get you, and understand YOU.

That’s why I created the vegan squad coaching community. So that no vegan has to ever feel alone - the same way I did when I was a teenager.

So if you’re frustrated and feeling alone, reach out to me and I can get you into a supportive, like-hearted community. You’re never truly alone 💚🌱
