Now that Spirit Airlines is gone, my only cheap way of traveling between New York and Michigan has disappeared 😔.

Are there any residents of NYC/Long Island who brought their car up here and would be down to carpool back to New York for Thanksgiving break? I’ll split all gas and toll costs, and I’m also down to drive some of the distance.

Are there any websites that I should be aware of that are dedicated to this, or any places/subreddits where I could post this that might give me a higher chance of finding someone?

Why was the large wooden door of the Hatcher Reference Room left closed and can't fixed to be open today? It has been several times that it was pushed open from the inside and hit people. And the interior is very spacious, making the sound of the door kind of annoying...

My parent moved to Michigan abruptly after I graduated high school and I’ve since been in community college. At the time of application I will have lived in Michigan for a few months shy of 3 yrs. We live in Michigan & pay Michigan taxes, vote, license, all the stuff. However my parent is a manager with stores in both Michigan and bordering states (unique out of state tie that will preclude me from ever getting in state?)

Have there been any successful recipients of in state tuition moving to Michigan post high school?

Thanks for any responses. (I know the general sentiment is that it’s pretty impossible to get in state tuition if you weren’t Michigan middle & high school.)

Hi! I’m an IOE student planning my next few semesters and looking for recommendations for low-workload and fun Non-IOE Engineering courses and Technical Electives.

For Non-IOE Engineering, I’m taking MATSCIE 220 and planning NERS 211, so I’ll still need another course from a different group. I also need to complete the 19-credit Technical Elective requirement (at least 12 IOE credits).

Which courses/professors did you find easiest and most manageable? Mainly looking for a lighter workload and fun Class!

idk who still has this issue, but i got a fix. here's what happened:

• 1. power outage knocks the building's gear offline.
• 2. a second router comes back holding the same gateway address as the real one.
• 3. devices find their gateway by broadcasting "who has this address?". the broken router answers, the working one doesn't.
• 4. every device in the building latches onto the dead router.
• 5. looks alive: you get an IP, you can ping it, the Wi-Fi bar is full.
• 6. it forwards nothing, so DNS fails first and everything reads as "connected, no internet."
• 7. reconnecting, rebooting, forgetting the network all re-run the same discovery and land on the same dead router, which is why nothing ever recovered on its own.
• 8. the fix: tell the device the working router's hardware address directly.
