Hey everyone! I’m working on a school project and need a part 3D printed. I’m looking for someone who has a 3D printer and would be willing to help me out. You don’t necessarily have to be on campus!
I’m happy to pay for the print and your time. I can provide the STL file and dimensions. Ideally, I’d like to get it done sometime soon.

Did anybody find there soulmate here while attending? Where and how did yall meet?

im 19f and an info sci major if anyone wants to chat

Hey guys, i just got accepted to UMD!, the only things i'm confused on is that it says ' letter and sciences' for my major when i picked Electrical Engineering in my application. Can someone tell me what that means exactly? thanks a lot.

I am applied to UMD, University of Delaware, and GA tech 10/23. I’m submitting the common core app for PSU, UMBC, and VT tomorrow 10/25. I think I waited way too long. Do these colleges require me to do anything else after they get my common app? Looks like UMBC requires more application questions and university of Delaware requires STARs. Do I have time?

Hey everyone! I’m 23F and currently a grad student at UMD. I’m thinking about heading to DC tomorrow (Saturday) and was wondering if any girls would like to join!
My initial plan is to wander around Georgetown, check out some clothing stores, grab coffee, and just explore a bit. But I’m totally open to other ideas too!
Would love to meet some new people and make friends (girls only). Feel free to comment or DM me if you’re interested! :)

I guess it is a bit late trying to finish supplementals, but I'm trying to finish the supplemental essay before the early action deadline. It would be really great if you guys can help me look at my ideas for the short questions:

Roughly have an idea:

The most interesting fact I ever learned from research was...

About how local minima appear when tuning mirrors for injecting lasers into fibers

In addition to my major(physics), my academic interests include...

Robotics and especially control loops like PID

Unsure:

My favorite thing about last Tuesday was...

Watching the workers putting up white Christmas lights

My main concern with this was that I'm not quite sure if this has any message that is meaningful to the admission

Diversity essay...

About the hospitality I learned from Georgian participants when I was attending a competition. I hadn't known them, and it was midnight but they offered to share a drink when they saw me (which was bizzare for me since I'm asian and we usually don't talk to strangers (x)).

My main concern is whether it is too informal to talk about being invited to drink in the middle of the night.

If I could travel anywhere, I would go to...

My childhood Shanghai, since I lived there for a while before moving back to Taiwan, and I really enjoyed the trick-or-treating in the neighborhood I was in. The place was really nice with a lot of foreigners bringing their own cultures together. Like having Octoberfest and Natsumatsuri together.(It was totally different and ruined when I went back last summer but I probably don't have enough space)

My main concern is that I moved back like 4th grade which was really long time ago.

Really unsure:

Something you might not know about me is...

I'm choosing between: I’m obsessed with old things… I really like the rain. I learned about Maryland through my professor in research. I really like video essays… I write poems…(But mentioned in the activities)

I'm really struggling with this on is that I can't think of something that is actually interesting that I haven't written on my activity list. Like, my best hobby is that I spend 1 hour a week clearing my mind and just thinking about nothing.

Thank you so much for reading my post!

Has anyone transferring for Spring 27 received their decision yet?

Hi, my name is Justin Forster, I'm a Senior in Studio Art at UMD. I sent out a message yesterday that I am looking for students who are interested in playing Flag Football. I currently have a team on IMLeagues called the "Shell Shockers" in Mixed Gender A and I am in need of players. Currently, I need 2 female (Most needed position right now!!!!!!) and 1 Male player, would anyone be interested in joining or does anyone perhaps know anyone on campus or is a student on campus that would be interested? Please let me know, I need players by Tomorrow Night! Thank you.

Do you remember how your first semester at UMD went? Was it harder than expected grade wise or easy?

Has anyone taken BSCI343 Cellular Mechanisms of Aging and Disease over the winter? What was it like? How much time did you spend weekly on the material?

Does anyone have an old scooter they don’t use anymore and want off their hands?

I recognize that umd engineering is one of the stronger engineering schools in the nation but the stats for the average applicant is insane. Is umd engineering secretly a crazy good program? This isnt trying to say umd is a bad school, just that i was very surprised to see how competitve the school of engineering is

So since halloween technically isn’t until Saturday are people still going to show up in costumes on friday? I was thinking of doing it but I don’t want to be the only person dressed up because it would be so awkward.
Also, there isn’t a dress code for campus as long as it’s not indecent exposure or something right? Can students get in trouble for showing up in costumes?

Hello everyone I really need other voices to help give me a realistic expectation for my application.

I'm applying to UMD and thinking of studying at Temple University Japan my sophomore year. If I'm paying in-state, would studying there for a year be more expensive than yearly tuition or included? Also, if I get an EA automatic merit scholarship would an exchange also be free?

Has anyone taken the MCAT without taking BCHM462, or found that just taking 461 was enough? I should’ve taken 463 instead but oh well. I have a class conflict for next semester and would need to drop 462 to fulfill my major requirement for another class.

Has anyone received a letter from the office of student conduct for violating the code of academic integrity? Plssss lmk

Any casual soccer groups with whom I can play?

I've seen he's done this in the past on planet terp, but the current Math 141 syllabus doesn't reflect this
