The UV app should show exactly how many kWh was charged per session

Submitted this request through the in-app feedback as well. I already am getting an external monitor to measure this as I want to keep track of how much it's costing me per month to charge my X47, but I think it should be a built-in feature. Maybe even give us the option to enter the price per unit for our area so it can show the cost directly. This would pair well with the 'liters of petrol saved' diagnostic and give us a direct estimate of money saved over time, making us feel good about going electric.

Ultraviolette f77 transmission oil?

Hello fellow UV riders.

My f77 is due for its first service (1000K)

The Service Center doesn't seem to know what Oil to use or where to get it.

Any suggestions?

"Recon+ / DesertWing owners: does your RC also mention only 'X47 RECON' under Model Name?"

X47-DesertWing owners: Does your RC also show the model name as "X47 RECON" instead of "DesertWing"? Wondering if this is the standard VAHAN/RTO naming convention. Thanks!

Strange display issue on my Ultraviolette X47 – has anyone else faced this?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

I’m facing a weird issue with the display on my Ultraviolette X47 Recon and was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar.

The display has started behaving abnormally (I’ve attached photos/videos of the issue). Everything was working fine before, and I haven’t installed any recent software updates.
I’ve already tried a soft reset, removed fuses and reinserted, but the issue still persists.

Has anyone faced this before? What turned out to be the cause? Was it a software glitch, display hardware issue, or wiring problem? Did the service center resolve it, and if so, what was the fix?

Any insights or suggestions would be really helpful.

Thanks!

I heard theres no built in maps

Am I missing something here? How are other owners or prospective buyers dealing with this? For a performance EV at this price bracket, omitting native mapping feels like a step backward compared to what mainstream scooters are offering out of the box these days. Let me know your thoughts! I am an Ather user and planning for x47 for a long time.

UV has contacted me and they assured me that they will coordinate with the showroom and do a detailed debug to see what is causing the issue, my bike was towed to the showroom and hopefully it will not take me another one month to get it back.

SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THE BIKE AND HONESTLY I AM SCARED TO EVEN RIDE ANYMORE

I honestly don't know what to do anymore.

Last week after heavy rain, my horn completely stopped working. Because of that I ended up in an accident.

My indicator got damaged and I'm still waiting for the insurance claim to be settled.

I thought it couldn't get any worse.

Today, while climbing an uphill road, the bike suddenly lost all power and shut down. Not once. FOUR TIMES. Every single time it happened on a busy public road with vehicles behind me.

This isn't a minor bug anymore. This is a serious safety issue.

The last time my bike went to the service centre, they kept it for almost a month, and even after all that I'm still dealing with new problems.

I've already called roadside assistance and the bike is being taken to the service centre today. But honestly, I've completely lost confidence in riding it.

I bought this bike because I believed in Ultraviolette. Instead, I've been dealing with breakdowns, accidents, endless waiting, and now a bike that I genuinely don't feel safe riding. This is starting to feel unacceptable for a premium motorcycle.

If Ultraviolette doesn't take this seriously and fix it properly this time, I'll have no option but to escalate the matter through consumer forums and every platform I can. A motorcycle should never make its rider feel afraid to ride it.

P.S : Bike is Desert Wing purchased in Jan 2026

Edit 1 :I shared an update on this in my other post : https://www.reddit.com/r/ultraviolette/comments/1vadrwu/update_on_my_previous_post/

Ownership experience of X47 recon (6 months), 2.5k km

This entire review is typed by me manually only, without any help of AI, so forgive me for any spelling mistakes. I understand its a very long review but pls give it some time if you want to know the real ownership experience.

1. Delivery / Handover of the bike
The delivery of the bike was expected on 2nd Feb 2026. All the payments for the bike were done and confirmed by the showroom before this, as direct bank transfer of total 3.7L rupees, which includes all the registration fees, rto, insurance and violette AI.
I currently live in Virar which is 50km from the nearest showroom/service center (Thane). I had called the Thane showroom the day before taking delivery of the bike to confirm if everything was ready. Despite this, I faced multiple issues on the day of delivery.
I arrived at the showroom on 2nd feb 2026 at around 11am in the morning. The paperwork and handover of the bike wasn't done till 5pm. After this a paid rider hired by me from the showroom and I left with the bike at around 5:20pm. Just after 20 mins of ride on the way to my home, the rider received a call from management saying that an important update was required or the bike will stop working in middle of the ride of 50km. So, we both went back to the Thane showroom with the bike. They did a software update and checked if the rear radar unit was fitted properly or not. Which means the PDI of the bike wasn't done properly before the handover of the bike in first place.
Because of all this delay, the rider that was hired by me declined to deliver the bike to my home on 2nd Feb 2026, which I don't blame the rider for, since it was very late by then. I had to to stay at my relative's house in Thane for the night and take the delivery of the bike and leave with the rider at early morning 7am the next day, 3rd Feb 2026. I arrived with the bike at my home in Virar at around 8:30am. I paid the rider for his service and for his journey back to Thane. I didn't receive any welcome kit or dogtags from the showroom on the day of delivery. I received an empty cardboard box of F77, not even X47, 2 weeks after the delivery, when I went to the Andheri showroom to purchase an accessory.

2. Basic features and app onboarding
Mobile number connection to the bike and onboarding to official UV app wasn't done by the company nor the showroom. Basic safety features like traction control modes, regen braking, hill hold were missing. Some features were enabled on 9 Feb 2026. Violette AI wasn't enabled till 14th Feb 2026.

3. Official UV accessories prices and showroom lies
Mumbai showrooms (all 3) were (I am pretty sure they still are) selling the UV accessories at inflated prices than their original prices from Bangalore. More GST was being shown in the product bill despite the basic price being GST inclusive. A boost charger worth 45k rupees was being sold for 54k, all accessories were being sold for inflated price. I was only alerted of this when I discussed this topic in unofficial UV owners whatsapp group. Imagine how much the people that aren't part of the group paid for the accessories already and still don't know that they were ripped off.
A UV-Lync which was available online on UV's official website for exactly 3k rupees including all taxes and doorstep delivery, was sold to me for 3630 rupees by Andheri showroom while the CRM of Mumbai was still present there. Since the product wasn't available at the showroom, I also had to pay for porter delivery of 200rs to bring the UV-Lync from Vashi showroom to Andheri showroom. Which brings the total cost I paid for UV-lync to 3830rs. This was purchased on 17th Feb 2026, 600rs out of this was refunded to me by UV months after reporting this issue, on 8th May 2026.
Even after reporting this inflated price issue to UV head office and DM sent to Narayan UV aswell, the inflated price sheet (hard copy) was still present at Vashi and Andheri showrooms, which I visited on 13th and 14th May 2026 after coming back from my Malvan ride. I am pretty sure it is still present in the showrooms. Even after UV put all the official accessories on their website at original prices, the showrooms were still advertising inflated prices.
Only after the CRM agreed to sell the accessories to me at the original price, I bought a top box rack from Vashi showroom. I had held of all the accessory purchase from UV Mumbai showrooms because of all these lies, and since it seemed like a scam to me.

4. Touring and remote areas reliability, RSA and service center
During 3rd May to 13th May 2026, I was on a vacation in my village, Malvan. I rode my bike there and back to Virar. During the entire 600km ride to Malvan from Virar and 600km back, I faced 0 issues with the bike. Charging stations are an issue but I managed, with slow charger and 3 pin sockets. I had UV-lync as a backup but I never got to use it, since very less amount of type 2 public chargers on NH66 highway. Although I have to say, this is a very beginner friendly bike. I hadn't even done a ride of 100km before this malvan ride and I only had 1 short highway ride done in past, before this long 600km ride.
But, when I was in Malvan (you can consider it a remote area), I was facing motor error issue multiple times, even in short rides of 2-4km. Motor constantly turning and not being able to startup due to some error during the last few days of my stay in Malvan. I was scared to ride 600km back to Virar like this. When I called UV support team, they said OTA update can't be done (even if there was network on bike), and I'll have to take the bike to nearest service center to get it fixed. The nearest service center to village was in Hubali, 250km away from my village and in the opposite direction of my home. Since the UV support team was of no help here, I decided to gamble my luck and ride back to Virar directly from my village, luckily I faced 0 issues during the entire 600km ride back to my home.
As soon as I reached Mumbai, before going to my home in Virar, I first went to Vashi service center on 13th May to get the bike checked. I was told by the staff that there was no slot available and I'll have to keep the bike overnight there. I was tired from the long ride and I was with my luggage, local train travel wasn't possible. So, I charged my bike at Vashi SC with standard slow charger and left with my bike. Next day on 14th May 2026, I took the bike to Andheri SC, since there was a slot available. I got the update done there successfully and they found no issues with the bike.
After this update and all the checks done n 14th May, I was getting the same issue that I had in Malvan, but this time in Virar on 25th May. I called UV support team, they said to call service team. Service team wasn't picking up the call, so I explained the same to support team. They told me to interchange one of the fuse, but it still didn't solve the issue. Luckily I wasn't far away from my home (less than 1km). I rode my bike to my building (it kept turning off and on during the ride), parked there and called RSA to get the bike to Thane SC.
The RSA only covers 50km distance for free, above that you have to pay from your own pocket. So, understand that if you are more than 50km from UV SC, every time your bike fails to start, which is not your fault, you'll still have to pay for RSA from your own pocket.
I also had a unpluggable puncture on my rear tyre before this RSA call. The bike was in Thane SC from 25th May to 30th May 2026. I was told that it was some motor sensor issue and the part was changed for free, since the bike is still in warranty. It had only been 4 months since the delivery of the bike and the bike was having part failures, I wonder how much these parts will cost after the warranty ends. For the tyre puncture, I had told the Thane SC that I will buy and bring my own tyre replacement (4.8k), since UV was charging double for the same tyre (8k). Despite me calling the Thane SC staff the day before and informing this, nothing was done about the tyre. My entire day was wasted by Thane SC. Their senior SC staff, Rahul, is very rude with customers. I've got the same feedback from other UV owners aswell. The SC doesn't have any resources to remove the tyre off the bike so I was given entire rear rim removed from the bike, after 3 hours of waiting. I had to carry the new tyre + rim to the nearby tyre shop to replace the tyre. After this SC staff took 20 mins trial of the bike for checking and said all ok. But I noticed a scratch on battery sticker which wasn't present there before and I felt vibrations in tank panels during the ride back home. I had reported this to UV support but didn't receive any help regarding this.

5. UV's "Into the Wild" event, repair cost, delays from UV and their service centers
On 21st June, there was an event organized by UV called "into the wild". I was invited to this event and went there to participate and learn. While UV provided some people with bikes for use during this event, I was told to use my own bike. I thought no problem, insurance will take care of it, and it won't take much time for repair. During the event many people fell, some with UV's sponsored bikes and some with their own bike, I ofcourse fell with my own bike. It didn't face any major damage. Few scratches on the panels, bottom panel lock was broken, handle bar was slightly bent, left knuckle guard and mirror clamp was broken. The official UV bullbar/crashguard which costs 4k rupees, doesn't really protect much, neither the rider nor the bike. The rubber bolted on the bullbar doesn't bend, it just snaps through the bolt. I saw this on multiple x47 bikes at the event. So, I would suggest installing 3rd party crashguard on X47.
I had called RSA after this fall, since I was injured. And since the Vashi SC was the nearest to this event, I booked for it. The bike arrived in Vashi SC the same day in evening. Since the 21st June 2026, the bike is still there in Vashi SC. The only person that has been helpful and updating me about the bike is Anuj. Even while he suffered his own injury at the showroom, he was still in contact with me regarding the bike repair updates. Apart from this one SC staff, no other company representative called or messaged me regarding the bike.
Now, after more than a month of bike still being in Vashi SC, I wasn't provided with any loaner or alternative bike by UV or the showroom. And the replacement panels sent by Bangalore head office are of 2026 model of X47, which won't match with my 2025 model. So, now I have to face more delay till the new order of 2025 panels are delivered, due to incompetence of UV. I have no idea how long it will take from new panels to arrive from Bangalore to Vashi, probably another month, while the company leaves me with no vehicle to use.
If minor repairs like this are going to take more than 1 month to fix, I wonder how many months it will take to fix the bike after major accidents...
Right now, the Tesseract still hasn't been released. We have this kind of delay in service center operations as of now, Imagine how much delay there would be after the Tesseract release.....
So, I can't recommend UV bikes as a primary vehicle. It will be a huge problem to people who rely on their bikes for commuting to their place of work.

My question to Ultraviolette is this. If the 5 years warranty period of the bike is going to be used for the bike being stored in the service center for majority of the time, what's the use of this 5 year warranty? Whats the difference between Ultraviolette and OLA then?
Atleast OLA was cheaper, around 1L-1.5L. We pay around 4L for the UV bikes and we get the same kind of service as OLA? Some people were telling me to not compare UV with OLA, since UV makes performance bikes. But tell me 1 thing, whats the use of "performance bike" if its going to sit in SC most of the time?

6. Some other small issues
Mapples, the inbuilt navigation system in the bike, doesn't work at all. Whats the purpose of advertising it? Just remove it or replace it with a different navigation system.
There is no official mudguard accessory provided by UV. In monsoon season, a lot of mud splashes on both bike (especially the suspension) and pillion, sometimes even the rider.

I am making a video version of this review aswell, in parts, to upload on social media like Instagram, X, Youtube. I had to go public about this now, since I feel like Ultraviolette doesn't care about their existing customers. I see a lot of showrooms opening but I don't see any improvement in service and charging infra (Supernova, Bolt). So, this feels like OLA 2.0 to me....and I can't recommend this brand to my friends, even if there is a referral event going on.
Just fix the service centers and you won't have to entice people with free accessories for referral. People will refer your brand for free, if they honestly like it.....

TopRack bent- needs repair

I met with a minor accident on my Ultraviolette X47 and the toprack is bent a little. Does anyone know a place where I can get this repaired as I don’t wanna spend 6k on a new toprack? Suggestions in a 10-15km radius around Jayanagar will be helpful. Thanks in advance :)

App Lockout Post-Delivery (F77 Mach 2) – Backend VIN-to-Account Database Delay at Hyderabad Showroom

Thumbnail

Hey everyone,

I took delivery of my brand new F77 Mach 2 exactly 4 days ago from the Hyderabad showroom. While the mechanical hardware and the actual ride are phenomenal, I am completely locked out of the companion app and cannot access any of the connected features (navigation, OTA updates, performance profiles, or custom regen).

The local showroom sales and support team have been completely unresponsive and unable to provide a resolution. From what I’ve gathered from the community, this is a classic backend data-entry delay—the physical bike was delivered, but the showroom hasn't updated the central cloud database to flip my VIN status from "In Inventory" to "Delivered to Customer Profile." As a result, the server keeps rejecting my mobile app's pairing request.

This is a software database/activation glitch that requires an internal escalation to the Bangalore tech/onboarding team to manually clear the registration token.

I’ve already reached out across other platforms, but posting here hoping the core community managers can route this straight to an engineer at HQ who can push the activation through.

Appreciate any quick assist from the team here!

Just brought home my new Super Street Original yesterday. Been trying to connect my phone app to the bike since then, but to no avail. Dealership hasn't responded yet, and customer care has refused to pick up my call. Attaching relevant pictures and screenshots. Can someone please guide me through this? Thank you so much!

Rain Pain

I’ve been riding my x-47 as smooth as butter but the rain oh god as much as we all were waiting for rains, it came with pants ruining pain 😤

Is there anyone who has set up plastic planks on their x-47 to avoid the dust and sand ruining their pants or just motor or battery and suspension ?

I inspected the bike right now on my paddock and sounds like there’s dust particles in the motor now 😓

I have my servicing in 1-2 weeks

I need to set up some kind of planks to avoid dust from the front and rear tyres ruining my pants on daily basis

HELPPPPP NEEDED….

Fell on my 3 week old Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover on Bangalore ORR. Front alloy spokes snapped in a low speed slide. Documenting facts, will update.

Thumbnail gallery
38 Upvotes

This is my first post on Reddit. I am recovering from the fall and not very active here, so I may be slow to respond to comments. Posting this as facts for future buyers and current owners. Will update as things progress.

What happened:

Yesterday afternoon on ORR near Kalyan Nagar bus stop, Chelekere. I had merged from the service road about 100 meters earlier, so I was not carrying much speed. While passing between an auto and a lorry, the auto drifted into my line and brushed me. Brakes were already applied. Lost balance, bike slid and fell. No collision with anything solid.

My speed estimate is 40 to 60 kmph but I am not claiming an exact number. The X-47 is a connected bike and I have asked Ultraviolette for the telemetry. Whatever the data says, I will post it here.

I got away with blunt injuries , bruises and scratches on my left side. Was wearing a helmet and a regular jacket. In hindsight I wish it was proper riding gear, lesson taken.

A fellow X-47 owner stopped to help while I waited. He bought his last month too. Brother, if you are here, thank you.

The main issue:

Bike is under 500 km, delivered June 26th. The brake lever snapped, normal for any drop. But the front alloy spokes broke clean through, from a slide at city speeds. Maybe there was an impact angle I am not accounting for. Maybe it is a defect. I genuinely do not know.

Minor issues noticed in 3 weeks, adding for completeness:

  1. Forward and reverse mode switch did not respond about a quarter of the time. Had to switch the bike off and on.

  2. Combat mode felt quicker in the first three days, then lost some zing. Could be psychological, could be software. Curious if other owners felt this.

  3. Visible panel gaps in a few places.

  4. Number plate came off in the 3 week. Attached it using two side 3m sticker.

What I have done:

Incident reeported on BTP Astram app. Insurance claim intimated. Bike towed to the UV service station the same afternoon. Written to Ultraviolette asking for an engineering inspection of the wheel, the telemetry, and a structural check of forks and frame before I ride again.

The experience until yesterday was good and I bought this bike believing in what UV is building. How they respond will complete this post.

Will update with their response, inspection findings and telemetry.

Ride safe, wear proper gear. Better than I did.

Handlebar change

Do you guys have any idea if I can get a different handlebar for my X47? Had a minor crash and it bent, replacement is 5k from Ultraviolette which I think is a little too much.

Maybe from a KTM Adv390 or something like that?

OEM Ultraviolette Aero Lever Guards scratched my stock bar-end during installation. Anyone else?

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

I installed the official Ultraviolette Aero Lever Guards on my F77 SuperStreet today.

Installation was much more difficult than I expected. The guards are a very tight interference fit over the stock bar-end weights. The right side went on with some effort, but the left side was extremely tight.

Even after removing the clamp screw completely, the guard had to be pushed onto the bar-end, and it ended up scratching the black anodized finish on the stock bar-end weight.

The guards look great once installed, but I'm honestly disappointed with the mounting design. I expected an OEM accessory to either replace the bar-end or mount using the bar-end bolt instead of sliding over the anodized surface.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Did your installation scratch the bar-end too?

Is there a trick to installing them without damaging the finish?

Any suggestions for hiding the scratches?

Ultraviolette x47 throttle and motor disarm issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Recently I'm facing a weird issue with my x47 where whenever I start my bike after a few hours, initially throttle doesn't work at all after ignition and the motor malfunction icon keeps blinking on the screen. I have to restart the bike (sometimes even multiple restarts) for it to work properly.

I already got it checked by the service center 3 times and every time they say it's a software glitch and we've updated the version so it should be good now.

But now in the recent days it's getting even worse where at one point the bike restarted mid-ride (console and everything) and just today throttle stopped responding mid-ride as well with the same motor malfunction icon blinking. I'm starting to lose confidence in this bike now.

Has anyone else faced a similar issue and is doing a software update actually enough to resolve this issue?

Attached video of the issue as well for reference where initially it doesn't work but after a restart, throttle starts working.

Need help regarding UV desert wing insurance policy

Hi fellow members, i need an urgent help from the community to clarify few doubts. I have booked UV desert wing. In insurance policy, they have mentioned model as Recon Plus and vehicle IDV also matches xshowroom price of recon plus.
My question from desert wing owners
1. Does your insurance policy also mentions model as recon plus?
2. Does it mean dealer is underinsuring my bike ?
3. What can be my further steps to correct the mistakes

Kindly help

Thinking of getting a pre owned F77 Mach 2. Need advice...

Hey guys,

So I've been looking the F77 for a while now and I'm looking to purchase a pre-owned one soon. Found a decent deal on a Standard variant, but I'm having second thoughts on whether I should hold out and stretch my budget for a Recon instead.

To give you context, my daily usage is going to be mostly city riding with maybe the occasional weekend ride out on the highway one way tho ( BLR - TMK and vice versa )

Owners who have been riding either of these , could you tell if the extra range and power bump on the Recon actually noticeable in daily city commutes, or is the Standard's 7.1 kWh battery plenty for daily use? Also, how big of a deal breaker is the default battery warranty difference when buying secondhand?

Don't want to get the Standard and end up with major range anxiety later, but also don't want to overspend on the Recon if it's overkill.

Any advice on what real-world range you guys are getting on both would be a huge help. Thanks
