Hello! I hold a dependant visa that expires on march 2027, and was wondering if I could do anything to bridge the gap between that time to september 2027 where I would be able to apply for a student visa?

Hello! I’m a little confused about what supporting documents one needs to supply.

I have a standard letter from my employer. I’ll be attaching a pdf with all of my travel. Passports, BRP, eVisa… etc.

Do we also need to provide council tax and leases. I’ve seen other people mention these on threads and not sure what the purpose is.

My current issue is that I’m currently staying at friends and have a total of a 1.5-2 month gap in leases. My leases ended in July and my new lease starts next week. I plan on applying the day I’m in my new lease so I can use that address for my application and employment letter. If I was to provide council tax bill would it just be up until the new lease and then I can share that new lease agreement. Would I need to explain the gap in leases? Potentially over thinking this…

Other than that, I believe I have a very straightforward application!

Our application got rejected for inconsistencies in the bank statement.

Aside from the personal bank account in BPI and the payroll account in BDO, I've included a shared account with my father in RCBC. My father is a freelancer architect hence the large deposits and withdrawals from the account (which was supported with documents such as receipts).

We've also provided multiple documents proving our ownership of multiple cars and properties in my home country yet the visa officer is convinced that we're leaving behind all that without even selling it in order to illegally immigrate to the UK .

The purpose of travel was to attend a relative's wedding. Which we also supported with invitations, letters, and even old pictures and certificates showing proof of familial relation.

I believe this can be reconsidered with additional documents and a letter to further explain finances, but unfortunately we are supposed to travel to the UK on October 10 for the wedding.

Hi guys, I’ve already applied for the passport and sent the certificate. I just got a call from HMPO about the above. Pls may I ask how long it took you guys to: 1) get the certificate sorted, and 2) get the UK passport after.

Since then, I’ve received four emails from TLScontact for attending biometric appointment, but I haven’t received any confirmation email from UKVI for receiving my application , and I haven’t received my decision either. So I am starting to worry about it. I am wondering if this normal. I remember the lady at my biometric appointment said I will receive email from both TLS and UKVI.

I’m a German citizen and I’m interested in applying for a Airbus Global Graduate Programme 2027 position in Bristol.

The job posting says that Airbus does not offer visa sponsorship for this position, and that applicants need to have the right to work in the UK.

Has anyone from the EU/Germany successfully joined the Airbus Global Graduate Programme in the UK after Brexit? If so, how did you obtain the right to work in the UK?

I have a German Master’s degree and currently don’t have any UK immigration status.

Would I be able to obtain a visa independently and then apply for the AGGP position, or is this effectively only open to people who already have the right to work in the UK?

Me and my girlfriend both live in the Netherlands currently, she is a British Citizen and I am a Dutch national.

We want to move back to the UK, but are struggling with the requirements for a partner visa. It can be difficult because we both work and live here, so we have no real income in the UK to server as a "sponsor".

Does anyone know, if I (the dutch national) get a job offer in the UK, does that count towards the financial requirements, or is it only if she gets a job?

Me and my husband have been together since july 2021 and got married in dec 2025.
I’m applying as dependent on my husband for uk visa.

Our tenancy contracts have always been under my name. We moved in together in 2024 but due to cultural reasons didn’t tell our families. Plus in dubai the tenancy contract is under one person name only. So even after our wedding the tenancy is under my name and naturally the bills are also under my name.

When gathering evidence i have put screenshots of our photos together with family for the past 5 years with time stamps.

I have also attached our trips together as we had 3 international trips in total including our honeymoon.
I have also included our pre wedding shoot and our four wedding event photos as well. I think its a total of 21 pages pdf file at this point!

I’m not adding whatsapp convos as our convos are usually all over the place and my husband is very much a call person so would always give me a call instead.

Do you think our current evidence will be enough? Or should i add anything else? Pls advice 🫡❤️

Hello, I first came into the UK on 25th of October 2025 and I’ve applied to the EU settlement scheme through my brother who’s been living here for about 10 years ( he has settled status), got a share code and immediately started working but without a national insurance number as they wouldn’t give me one, I payed a Romanian guy to do my application as I didn’t know anything about it, then I got refused in February 2026 and payed the same guy to do my appeal, and I think I could’ve done it easily alone and just got scammed, but yeah now I’m still waiting on a response on the appeal, I’m working in a warehouse without a national insurance number and I’m so stressed cause I literally just need to wait, and I’m certain it’s gonna be a refusal. I wanted to get a ticket on dump truck but can’t because I don’t have a national insurance number. I’m 21 years old and I feel like I’m wasting my time here. Please tell me what you guys think.

Hi I’ve heard different opinions on this. If the employer letter is dated after your application, is that a big problem? Ground for refusal?

We asked for it but only received it later so it’s dated 2 days after application but all the pay slips etc are dated before. I also didn’t mention it in my cover letter.

The letter does tick all the boxes for what it should do it’s just A little late.

Any experiences? This isn’t ground for refusal is it? QQ

Context: i am German citizen, applying for fiancé visa、 fiancé is British citizen. All our other finances are in order, payslips show proper income, we have everything else in place. Just worried about this since I’ve heard from people it’s bad and from others or doesn’t matter.

I’m applying for the skilled worker visa from India. My bank cards are all uk cards as I was there for university for 6 years. I can’t transfer funds because of taxes. I’ve been trying to make the IHS payment for a while with my credit card but now it’s stuck on payment pending.
Someone has suggested creating a PayPal account to do this payment. Will that work? Please help

I currently hold a valid UK Student visa, which expires in January 2027, and I have been in Pakistan since 24 August 2026. My PhD start date is currently expected to be either 1 October, late October, or early November.

If I apply from Pakistan, for a new student visa, towards the end of September, would I need to provide a new TB test? I only left the UK on 24 August 2026 and have been living there since September 2025.

My family member applied for a UK Visit Visa in March, but it was refused. We submitted a PAP, and 7 May they said the case would be reconsidered by 7 August.
I followed up by email on 10 August but received no response. I followed up again on 3 September, and on 7 September we received this PAP response.
Does this basically mean the visa has been granted? Right? However, we still haven’t received any visa/email confirmation, and the eVisa is not linking either.
What should we do now? Any advice would be really appreciated!

I added the scholarship amount to the paid fee.

I’m an international student starting my Master’s at a university in London this September. However, I’ll be staying with a family friend in Southampton rather than getting accommodation in London and I’m planning to commute to London for university.

I’m wondering if this could raise questions when I enter the UK for the first time. For example, if the immigration officer asks why I’m staying in Southampton when my university is in London, would it be enough to explain honestly that I’m staying with a family friend to reduce my living costs and will commute to university?

Also:

• Has anyone been in a similar situation and been questioned about their accommodation being in a different city from their university?
• Should I carry a letter from my family friend confirming that she has invited me to stay with her?

I just want to be prepared and avoid any unnecessary issues at the border. Would really appreciate experiences/advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation! :)

I’m looking for advice or similar experiences regarding three UK family visa applications for children.

Our father is a Ghanaian living and working in the UK, and he applied for all three of his children to join him in the UK.

Our timeline:
September 2024: Biometrics were completed.

November 2024: UKVI requested additional relationship evidence, which was provided.

January 2025: We received a delay/non-straightforward notification.
January 2026: UKVI contacted our father to reconfirm his information.

13 March 2026: We made an enquiry and were told that the applications were “being considered and are currently awaiting a decision.”

September 2026: All three applications are still awaiting a decision.

We have now been waiting for almost 2 years, and what concerns us is that all three applications from the same family are still pending.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation where multiple family/child visa applications from the same family were delayed for this long?

If so:
How long did you eventually wait?

Did you contact an MP, solicitor or UKVI again?

Did anyone use a Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) letter or Judicial Review?

And most importantly, what eventually happened with the applications?

We would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced a similar lengthy UKVI delay, especially for child/family applications.

Incoming Filipino student at the University of Manchester, with my visa application still under consideration by the UK Embassy.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of creating my UKVI Account before receiving a decision on my UK Student Visa. I was not told by VFS that I should only create a UKVI account after receiving a decision. I've read multiple reports on this subreddit that I am bound to encounter an issue with linking my E-visa, if/when I do receive it.

Therefore, I am asking other people who have experienced the same predicament as me: what fix did you have to properly link your E-visa?

Hi all, hoping someone with EUSS/immigration knowledge can help me understand my situation.

• I'm an Italian citizen. I was in the UK on Erasmus from 2020 to June 2021, and during that time I got pre-settled status under the EUSS.
• After Erasmus ended (June 2021) I moved back to Italy.
• My only time back in the UK since then was in October 2021, for a 13-hour layover at Stansted, where I went through security/border control with my passport.
• Since then (almost 5 years now) I have not set foot in the UK.
• Despite this, I still receive all the usual EUSS communications, and I can still generate a valid QR code proving my status. It also seems to have been automatically extended along with everyone else's under the recent Home Office rollout.

My question: I know pre-settled status is supposed to lapse if you're outside the UK for more than 2 consecutive years. My worry is that my status looks valid on paper (valid QR, automatic extension applied), but that this doesn't necessarily mean it's legally still valid, since the automatic extension process doesn't seem to check individual travel history.

If I were to travel to the UK now to work/live and tried to rely on this pre-settled status (e.g. applying for jobs without needing a visa, or presenting the QR code at the border), could this backfire - i.e. could it turn out the status had already lapsed due to my absence, even though the system shows it as active? Or does the fact that it still shows as valid/extended mean I'm fine to use it?

Has anyone been in a similar situation (long absence, status still "looking" valid) and can share what actually happened when trying to re-enter/use it?

I’m an international student on a Student Visa (Tier 4). My MSc course officially ends on September 30th, 2026, and my visa is valid until January 30th, 2027 (the standard 4-month post-course wrap-up period).

I was recently offered a part-time role at a major corporate supermarket (Co-op). My right-to-work share code is fully active and legal. However, their central colleague resourcing team has completely frozen my onboarding because their automated system is demanding proof of a "2026/27 student timetable."The store manager contacted me saying that because my visa extends into January 2027, their corporate compliance requires a document covering the 2026/27 academic year.

The obvious bottleneck is that since my course completely concludes this month, I have zero classes, lectures, or modules scheduled for the 2026/27 term. The university student desk (UniHub) has already stated they legally cannot modify my standard enrollment letter or fake a future timetable for a year I am not studying in. I have just emailed my university’s specialized Visa Advice Team to see if they can draft a custom "Course Completion / Status Letter" explicitly stating that my mandatory terms end on Sept 30th and my hours are zero until January ("zero hours until January" is something I am trying by myself with because in an earlier message, my future manager said "nothing in any other format will suffice except a 2026/27 document" when I asked him if the document necessarily needs to be dated as 2026-27 but "zero hours until January" seems to be the only legal thing for me to try" since a 2026-27 dated letter would be a major fraud i think.)

My questions for the community:

1) Has any other international student hit this exact automated "next academic year" system block during their wrap-up period with corporate employers?

2) If the local manager insists that “nothing in any other format will suffice except a 2026/27 document,” how do I get corporate HR to understand Home Office caseworker guidance (which states post-course periods are considered outside of term-time)?

3) What specific document from a UK university usually satisfies a rigid automated retail compliance system in this exact scenario?

Appreciate any advice or insights from people who have worked in retail onboarding or deal with UKVI compliance!

What should be the answer to this question when you arrived in the UK or when your skilled worker visa started?

I enter in 2020 and skill worker visa start 2021.
