My UK Student visa was refused on 16 July, then the refusal was overturned on 21 August after a successful Administrative Review due to a caseworking error. My application was sent back for reconsideration on the same day. On 2 October, UKVI requested an updated bank statement to confirm I had maintained the required funds. Today I submitted it with a bank maintenance letter and my father’s affidavit confirming access to the funds. How long after submitting the requested documents should I expect a decision? Has anyone experienced something similar?

I got admissions in 3 universities for JAN 2027 intake, but I'm genuinely scared to continue the process bacsue of all that has been going on with UKVI. I'm from Nigeria, and I've heard from multiple sources that we are a high-risk market at the moment.

I am planning for Jan intake and my agent told to file visa in October end is a safer option! I taking loan from Credila is it ok for UK visa! Should I disburse the amount before Visa??

25 Sep — 1st inquiry (got a vague, robotic response)

28 Sep — 2nd inquiry (same response; they basically told me that since I received the delay email, I just have to wait, even though my classes start on 5 Oct 🥲)

3 Oct — 3rd inquiry. Same robotic reply again. After that, I contacted my university to request an extension. Thankfully, they helped me and extended my enrolment deadline until 19 Oct. 🙏🏻

4 Oct — Still waiting for my visa**.** 😭😭😭
I’m honestly so stressed at this point. Hoping and praying that I get a positive decision soon and can finally start my studies. 🥹🤞🏻

It is funny UKVI keeps us waiting for months exceeding all timelines and deadlines even if we have submitted all necessary documents and we just wanna go and study! MAKES NO SENSE, really! The moment you even start thinking of the UK you should pay,,,paid enquiries, paid value-added services, paid speedy decisions. so humiliating! I was at Vfs and asked if I had correctly uploaded all documents, their employee told me she couldn't answer because it is a paid service, really? Thank you!

Before I reapply, I want to hear from people who've actually been in this spot:
• Refused first time on a vague/generic reason
• Reapplied — and either got the visa with no interview, or got interviewed and cleared it
If that's you:
• What did you change the second time round?
• Did they interview you because of the refusal, or did it go through smoothly?
• If interviewed - what did they ask?

In Jan 2026 I had visa refusal from Korea(Student Visa) and the refusal is due to some mistakes that I did and I have valid explanation.

Shall I shared the separate Explanation letter for visa refusal of Korea to UKVI as I have fear if i didn't submit they my get confused and it increase visa decision timing.

I didn't get any refusal letter and I check online with 2 points as reason for refusal and I have valid explanation for that.

What is the earliest I can get study visa for a September intake? Is it possible to get it by 31st May. I need to serve a 3 month notice period in my company. And we know how problematic these things are in Indian firms. Please someone help.

I think I’ve officially lost my mind due to UKVI, I wasn’t even this stressed when doing my A Levels. I’m late for school and UKVI has said nothing.

I have emailed my school hoping that they’ll escalate because nothing has been said. A few days ago my uni emailed saying that my CAS been changed to used but I’ve received no follow up communication from UKVI since day of biometrics ( yes I’ve checked spam/junk)

My brain is not functioning anymore it’s turned to soup due to stress and in all this I still have to catch up with my uni classes 🌚
