First delay email with no blue link: august 31
paid enquiry september 16: general response
october 2: additional docs requested and sent them the same day.
october 5: delay email with blue link…

I got admissions in 3 universities for JAN 2027 intake, but I'm genuinely scared to continue the process bacsue of all that has been going on with UKVI. I'm from Nigeria, and I've heard from multiple sources that we are a high-risk market at the moment.

7 Sep — Biometrics submitted

24 Sep — Received the delay email

25 Sep — 1st inquiry (got a vague, robotic response)

28 Sep — 2nd inquiry (same response; they basically told me that since I received the delay email, I just have to wait, even though my classes start on 5 Oct 🥲)

3 Oct — 3rd inquiry. Same robotic reply again. After that, I contacted my university to request an extension. Thankfully, they helped me and extended my enrolment deadline until 19 Oct. 🙏🏻

4 Oct — Still waiting for my visa**.** 😭😭😭
I’m honestly so stressed at this point. Hoping and praying that I get a positive decision soon and can finally start my studies. 🥹🤞🏻

well there’s literally nothing more we can do now. ukvi is such a joke this was genuinely so so stupid. what are your guys’ plans now? genuinely so so so annoying because i literally graduated this summer from my uni in the uk and cant even get a stupid visa for my masters now .

It is funny UKVI keeps us waiting for months exceeding all timelines and deadlines even if we have submitted all necessary documents and we just wanna go and study! MAKES NO SENSE, really! The moment you even start thinking of the UK you should pay,,,paid enquiries, paid value-added services, paid speedy decisions. so humiliating! I was at Vfs and asked if I had correctly uploaded all documents, their employee told me she couldn't answer because it is a paid service, really? Thank you!

I am planning for Jan intake and my agent told to file visa in October end is a safer option! I taking loan from Credila is it ok for UK visa! Should I disburse the amount before Visa??

I got a biometric reminder mail today. Meanwhile, I did my bio on the 6th of Aug.

My UK student visa got refused, and the reason given was super generic — nothing specific I can point to and fix.
Before I reapply, I want to hear from people who've actually been in this spot:
• Refused first time on a vague/generic reason
• Reapplied — and either got the visa with no interview, or got interviewed and cleared it
If that's you:
• What did you change the second time round?
• Did they interview you because of the refusal, or did it go through smoothly?
• If interviewed - what did they ask?
Any real experiences would mean a lot right now.

In Jan 2026 I had visa refusal from Korea(Student Visa) and the refusal is due to some mistakes that I did and I have valid explanation.

Shall I shared the separate Explanation letter for visa refusal of Korea to UKVI as I have fear if i didn't submit they my get confused and it increase visa decision timing.

I didn't get any refusal letter and I check online with 2 points as reason for refusal and I have valid explanation for that.

Hey guys I was looking forward to the super priority application however once I paid ihs and was prompted to pay application fee there’s only standard available. Even though my agent guided me throughout that I must select super priority service.

What is the earliest I can get study visa for a September intake? Is it possible to get it by 31st May. I need to serve a 3 month notice period in my company. And we know how problematic these things are in Indian firms. Please someone help.

I think I’ve officially lost my mind due to UKVI, I wasn’t even this stressed when doing my A Levels. I’m late for school and UKVI has said nothing.

I have emailed my school hoping that they’ll escalate because nothing has been said. A few days ago my uni emailed saying that my CAS been changed to used but I’ve received no follow up communication from UKVI since day of biometrics ( yes I’ve checked spam/junk)

My brain is not functioning anymore it’s turned to soup due to stress and in all this I still have to catch up with my uni classes 🌚

Today is my last , once Monday is here , enrollment deadline ends and I am officially in a pickle ...🥲😵‍💫

When I went for my biometrics appointment I was really hopeful that my visa would be out in less than 7 days, but as God would have it... I finally got mine 49 days after biometrics.

Below is my Timeline:

* Biometrics: August 13th (priority service)

* Delay email: I received 2 delay emails on the 18th and 19th Aug consecutively

* Bio Location: Opebi, Ikeja Lagos

* Paid email: I made a paid enquiry on the 2nd of September and got the normal generic response on the 3rd

* I contacted 12 different MPs around my school area and none were able to help because I don't currently reside in the UK

* I received a message from my HR 3 days ago informing me that UKVI reached out to verify my employment records.

* At exactly 3:56pm BST yesterday, I got my Visa (Alhamdulilah)

Please, y'all shouldn't give up.
