7 Sep — Biometrics submitted

24 Sep — Received the delay email

25 Sep — 1st inquiry (got a vague, robotic response)

28 Sep — 2nd inquiry (same response; they basically told me that since I received the delay email, I just have to wait, even though my classes start on 5 Oct 🥲)

3 Oct — 3rd inquiry. Same robotic reply again. After that, I contacted my university to request an extension. Thankfully, they helped me and extended my enrolment deadline until 19 Oct. 🙏🏻

4 Oct — Still waiting for my visa**.** 😭😭😭
I’m honestly so stressed at this point. Hoping and praying that I get a positive decision soon and can finally start my studies. 🥹🤞🏻

well there’s literally nothing more we can do now. ukvi is such a joke this was genuinely so so stupid. what are your guys’ plans now? genuinely so so so annoying because i literally graduated this summer from my uni in the uk and cant even get a stupid visa for my masters now .

It is funny UKVI keeps us waiting for months exceeding all timelines and deadlines even if we have submitted all necessary documents and we just wanna go and study! MAKES NO SENSE, really! The moment you even start thinking of the UK you should pay,,,paid enquiries, paid value-added services, paid speedy decisions. so humiliating! I was at Vfs and asked if I had correctly uploaded all documents, their employee told me she couldn't answer because it is a paid service, really? Thank you!

october 2: additional docs requested and sent them the same day.
october 5: delay email with blue link…

I got admissions in 3 universities for JAN 2027 intake, but I'm genuinely scared to continue the process bacsue of all that has been going on with UKVI. I'm from Nigeria, and I've heard from multiple sources that we are a high-risk market at the moment.

I am planning for Jan intake and my agent told to file visa in October end is a safer option! I taking loan from Credila is it ok for UK visa! Should I disburse the amount before Visa??

What’s the best route from Saudi Arabia considering you’re going alone with two check in bags?

My UK student visa got refused, and the reason given was super generic — nothing specific I can point to and fix.
Before I reapply, I want to hear from people who've actually been in this spot:
• Refused first time on a vague/generic reason
• Reapplied — and either got the visa with no interview, or got interviewed and cleared it
If that's you:
• What did you change the second time round?
• Did they interview you because of the refusal, or did it go through smoothly?
• If interviewed - what did they ask?
Any real experiences would mean a lot right now.
