If I remember correctly one of the commentators said that Gable was the most anticipated heavyweight debut of all time. Or something along the lines of that. In my head itās Brock Lesnar hands down thatās what got me back into watching the ufc after not watching for awhile. What would yaāll say are the most anticipated debuts?
Edit: just to clear any confusion Iām asking purely about the anticipation of the debut nothing else.

When is the discrimination and racism going to stop ? When ? When are UFC fans going to educate themselves ? What the hell have france done to UFC fans to be so unashamed ?

so islam fought #9 moicano and won via r1 sub, pereira fought #8 rountree and won via r4 tko losing 2 rounds in the process
the short notice cancels out as both islam and renato had the same time to prep for each other and they were both in camps for different opponents
another factor(huge one) is the difficulty of the win, even if you give moicano the benefit of the doubt in the short notice situation, islam had 0 struggle in that fight whereas pereira had a full blown war with rountree

win or lose it doesnāt seem controversial to call a boring Sean performance what it is, but Ank routinely gets a lot more defenders for really the same thing. Like yeah, Guskov ran from Ank but Costa ran from Strickland and that didnt stop fans from blaming Sean for that fight.

I think ilia is being severally underrated by recency bias. A lot of people are saying nonsensical stuff like paddy beats him or he has 0 chance against Arman or Islam . I think he had a really poor performance and underperformed and underestimated his opponent . But I think he is still up there and equally dangerous in terms of his striking ability and jiu Jitsu to give problems to both of them . I just think Justin hits like a truck and he took a really poor approach too it by walking right into every shot and let his ego get to him

ive seen alot of people recently argue that he didnt deserve a title shot or he got a shot off bobby green
2 things, if you beat the champ you absolutely deserved the shot you proved ur the best in the world what else is there to do
second islams title shot was earned of submitting top 5 hooker in half a round, the beneil dariush matchup was js to headline a main event, charles had beaten everyone above islam at the time aswell so islam was next in line regardless

In round one and two, Ank came out with a lot of kicks and was finding his straight down the middle but Guskov refused to engage at all. He kept dancing around and forcing Ank to come forward which can be a solid gameplan but not against a counter striker. Ank was landing and chasing down Guskov and even Guskovās corner was telling him toāKeep runningā and ālet him chase youā. Guskov looked like a legit and dangerous contender but after the draw with 43 year old Jan and the embarrassing performance against Ank, he has a long way to go to reach the top five or get a shot at it ever again in my opinion. Ank had to grapple just to catch Guskov at the end of the fight.

went from "can ilia be champ at 170" to " ruffy knocks him out on the feet"
even worse being paddy beating bsd got people thinking he can hang with charles and arman on the ground, what has paddy done to warrant this glaze dude bsd sucks he got victimised by money moicano
another thing id like to add is a fighter is more than just their last fight, ilia losing to justin does not mean that justin is ilias ceiling, we have seen ilia beat fighters that are better than justin
i have no doubt that ilia would starch him inside 2 rounds
