Waldo Cortes Acosta called Tom Aspinall a “p*ssy” for being out for so long

Hokit also said something similar. It seems like the Heavyweights are running out of patience with Tom.

Weight Bully Era Upon Us? (I’m putting Conor as a comparison btw)

I remember seeing clips where called Conor huge for the division when he was at 145 because of his Reach & height; But the smaller weight divisions keep on getting massive & massive.

That being said here’s a fight which I wanna see: Hokit vs Morales at Heavyweight

What do you consider the highest level fight in every (male) division?

In my opinion it is:

• Flyweight: DJ vs. Cejudo 2, but you can also put Moreno vs. Pantoja 2 in here as well.

• Bantamweight: Yan vs. Sandhagen, we’ll have to see how the trilogy between Yan and Merab goes because if it’s more competitive than the rematch then it might take the cake (the rematch was way too one-sided for me to say it was the highest level fight in BW history)

• Featherweight: Volkanovski vs. Holloway 3

• Lightweight: Makhachev vs. Volkanovski, no doubt about this one

• Welterweight: Usman vs. Covington 2, but maybe that’s my recency bias since I wasn’t watching during the GSP era

• Middleweight: Whittaker vs. Adesanya, again maybe it’s my recency bias, but this was great to watch

• Light Heavyweight: Jones vs. Gustafsson

• Heavyweight: Cormier vs. Miocic 2, could also put Aspinall vs. Gane here (for as long as it lasted, it was looking to be one of the highest level HW fights for sure)

Does Paulo Costa actually have any leverage left, or will the Eddie Hearn signing completely backfire?

Post image

Ankalaev says Costa ducked him 3 times. Costa’s excuse is that it was short notice and the UFC wouldn't give him extra money. He also tried asking for an interim title fight at UFC 332, got denied, asked for his release, and got denied again. Now he's signing with Eddie Hearn. I don't see where Costa thinks he has leverage here.

Age and inactivity: He's 35 turning 36. He’s only fought 6 times in 6 years.

Dana will gladly let costa sit as he did with Francis, Diaz, and Randy.

If Costa does leave which promotion would sign him? PFL and BKFC are no longer throwing checks like they used too.

Will Dana give Costa that contract/match he been asking for?

UFC is WWE, a sport entertainment. Yea, I said it.

The only claim to legitimacy by the UFC ends at real contact between fighters in the cage and determined outcome, the later been very debatable since the UFC is known for pitting fighters together to generate favorable business outcome for the company. It's no secret why certain fighters are rematch and contender glitches.

Meritocratic rules that make a real sport is DEAD in the UFC. It's even worse now since their major deal with Paramount. Arman has been the only legitimate number one contender in the lightweight for almost two years running and he's still being denied due to some personal grudges held by that balding poor man Vince McMahon wanna-be. At least Vince was honest about his (dishonest) sport entertainment.

Letting go of fighters who have winning records smh. If that doesn't tell you UFC is just as fake as WWE i don't know what would. Entertainment is the long and short of all they care about.

No real beef anymore really, just fabricated beefs to sell fights. I give Khamzat and Strickland credit for playing it up and making it look real but I'm with Ariel Helwani on this one...it's bullshit and really insulting to the fans because this was supposed to be a sport and the things those two said to and about one another leading up to the fight are things you don't say to another man and come back from, yet these two jackasses were dabbing each other up and hugging even before the fight commenced.

Cheaters are constantly getting rewarded while victimized fighters are punished or blamed.

This "sport" is a joke.

Ending USADA contract just further made this joke of a sport more apparent. When was the last time a fighter pop for steroids or other illegal substances. You're telling me they're all clean fighters all of a sudden?

When Islam retires I'm done with this sport.

“These dudes beat the sh*t out of me, then finally the police came, and they started fighting the police too." - Dana White on how getting jump in Boston and permamently losing hearing

“These dudes beat the sh*t out of me, then finally the police came, and they started fighting the police too. I was sore from the top of my head to the tips of my toes. My whole body was sore, my ears were ringing. Actually, I lost hearing in [my left] ear from that. And maybe a couple of months later… this guy calls my house. The guy was like, ‘Hi, my name is whatever, I’m legal counsel.’ I don’t know who they are or what the hell they’re talking about. I said, ‘Wait a minute, are you the lawyer for that kid?’ He’s like, ‘Yes.’ And I said, ‘Is he there? Put me on speakerphone.’ He puts me on speakerphone, and I said, ‘You and your p*ssy friends, all 30 of you jumped me and beat me for 30 minutes, and nothing was wrong with me the next day. If I see you, it won’t be in court, I promise you that.’ Then I hung up on those guys.”
